Ach! My heart pines for the island I had to leave to find work. Some day to return to Western Cape Breton, to my friends and to the wild beauty of that magickal place. Thank you for a much needed glimpse of home.
the only thing that describes this place is the feeling you get when you set foot on the heart shaped island and hear the music play, the ocean roar and find yourself at a childlike age again
Aunt Dee what a wonderful job you and your brother Evan have done promoting our beautiful home, Cape Breton. It does my heart good to watch this video as you can take the girl from Cape Breton, but not Cape Breton from the girl. I till my dying day will always love Cape Breton Island and its fair land. Love and kisses from your Aunt E in Alberta
I recenty as of Mar'06 have move to Edmonton from Nova Scotiua an this video is truley a masterpice. Makes me cry. Too bad the economy is to bad or I'd never leave this fairland.I be back some day.
It really seems like a good place to live or visit. I sure wouldn't mind to live there, i love places where you can be more close to nature. Good video, take care ;)
Where are you from? I was born and still live on Cape Breton island myself and haven't really been anywhere else. Cape Breton is and always will be my home, There is know where I would rather be.
Cape Breton should get the province of Nova Scotia to better advertise its lovely areas. It is not well enough known at all. There are some true gems within in the Cape Breton landscape. In the fall they have CelticColours musicfest and some of the best artists and musicians play in numerous venues all over the island. The province of Nova Scotia should be promoting that now - heavily! They offer some beautifl scenery and art in this area.
