Pro Skaters React to The Most Realistic Skating Simulator

- For the first time, Gamology hosts professional skateboarders Jake Ilardi and Maurio McCoy for a look at the game "Session: Skate Sim." Jake and Maurio react to the game's graphics, letting us know just how realistic it (or not) it is, and attempt to give us a sense of how well developers were able to capture the feel of actual skateboarding. They'll also talk about their favorite places to skate in real life and the various tricks and trick combos the game allows for. Both Maurio and Jake found the game's physics engine to be spot on! They also note the intuitive and easy-to-pick-up game controls which will allow experienced and novice players alike to access the game. Enjoy the video!
With the dual stick controls, each stick represents one of your feet. You will need to learn how to control them and transfer weight, just like on a real skateboard. The physics has been developed with a focus on realism, smoothness, and immersion. Like in real life for a new skateboarder, the first hours can seem challenging, but once you have mastered the technique, you will feel the unrivaled thrill of pulling off your very first kickflip! Session: Skate Sim also includes customization options, so you can enjoy the perfect experience tailored to you. A full tutorial provides all the help you need to get started, and you can choose from four difficulty levels!
Inspired by the golden age of street skating - the 1990s - Session: Skate Sim lets you experience true skateboarding and its culture: no scoring system; just you, your spot, and your imagination! There's no need for judges to tell you that your noseslide or varial heelflip is perfect for this spot. And because certain locations are iconic, the developers have added several of them to the game for you to skate in and express your creativity, including Black Hubbas (New York City), Brooklyn banks (New York City), FDR Park (Philadelphia), and many other spots.

Dude there are so many edits out there that make this game, esp the replay editor, go crazy! There’s a very steep learning curve, just like real life skating, but once you get there it’s so dope
Good stuff guys! It was awesome to see my old map, The Museum, in there. Anytime your battling those tricks IRL and need a break come hit it on Session!!
Dudes, you should've let them played the game because the controls is a huge part of what makes this game great, and closer to actually skateboarding. Watching this gameplay is just like watching any skate game.

Gamology found 2 skaters who never played Session.? Job well done. 😂👏🏼 I haven’t enjoyed a skateboarding game, honestly since Skate 2. Session has been my go to since it was released as a game preview. It has the most potential rn out of any other skate game imo. 💯

it wasn't really out of nowhere, the video just showed one. and pressure flips are super easy. for the people who can do them. i can't figure em out either and i ride trucks tighter than a nun's downstairs.

Funny how they're talking about the graphics not being great when the graphics in this game is better than any skate game out there. It's just the time of day that's making it look bad. If they changed the time of day so that it highlights all the amazing texture work and models they wouldn't have been saying the graphics aren't all there. Also doesn't help that they're probably seeing a bunch of compression through the stream.

it actually was quite similar to gang mentality back in the day. Surfers were very much the same too. you ride in too close to someone's wave and you're getting beaten in the parking lot. i hope it's chilled out since then.
