@@jamielee240292 you’re forgetting, we have won the World Cup and come pretty close to winning on a number of occasions. We also don’t play dirty like the original rules of rugby we invented state, unlike SA.
@@dee2251 Yes, you did 20 years ago exactly this year. Easiest pool this year too, even I was worried and thought they’d be the freshest going into the semi’s. Some basic Rules: no forward passes unless kicked forward, no high tackles, yellow cards = 10 minutes time out, conversion time = 30 seconds, no collapsing scrums, no knockons (ball is dropped and bounces forward and is catched), have to release in a ruck, have to roll over in a ruck, offside rule, not allowed to push the ball out if it is on your own try line, penalties (don’t know most of them), rolling subs for injuries only, 23 players with 8 subs and starting XV.
Yeah if you 'fumble' and rehandle the ball its called a 'knock-on'. You can kick it foward, which is commenly known as a 'grubber kick' but you can't handle the ball again with your hands untill it passes the try line (known as the end zone in American football). Then the player, the ball and the ground have to be in contact in the 'end zone' (passed the Try line) to score a 'Try'.

To clear up the early confusion in the clip when the big dude in red looked like he dropped the ball then scored? You can’t drop the ball. If you watch closely, he kicked the ball to keep it alive, then scored the try (touchdown except you must ground the ball). I love seeing Americans watching and appreciating our sport, as much as love yours ❤
6:04 - the reason this is so sick is because the guy in green who got so brutally tackled actually SCORED the try while he was being annihilated. In rugby, to score a try (equivalent of a touchdown) the rule is that you have to get the ball over the try line (into the end zone as you would say) and touch it to the ground with your hand. As long as no part of your body is touching the ground out of bounds, it counts, as long as your hand is on the ball and the ball is on the ground. So for him to score this try while in the process of getting absolutely obliterated and being basically upside down and in the air is absolutely insane skill.
Rugby is not for self-promoters and posers. These are really tough guys and once you've seen and liked rugby games, you usually can't do anything with American football anymore.
Watch Nimh’s “Rules of Rugby Union” and then sit back and watch probably the fastest, hardest greatest game of rugby I’ve ever seen, it’s France Vs South Africa in the quarterfinals from the 2023 Rugby World Cup. It’s two of the best countries going head to head and going all out. I can’t build this game up enough.
3:05 to explain this, in Rugby you can't touch the line or you're considered out and he then taps the ball to keep it play since he knew he was going to go out and then scores by placing the ball down. If the ball hit the ground instead of him kicking it it would have been a knock on and the other team would be given a free kick and if you dont solidly place the ball down when you go for a try (scoring) again its considered a knock on. Player played that amazingly well.

Ok @3:05 the rules of Rugby are that the ball can not be passed forwards, that includes what is called a knock-on where a player lets go of the ball and then catchess it themselves further forward than when they let go of it, but you areee allowed to kick it forwards then catch it yourself.. and that is what this beautiful MoFo did right there to save the ball from going out of bounds ;) A lovely bit of quick thinking Oh, and at 6:01, you missed how impressive that was, because to score a "try" (a "touchdown" in American Football) you must not only cross the line but also touch the ball to the ground, and that guy there touched the ball down while upside down lol
Now you know why rugby players have a saying, "Soccer is for girls, football for boys and rugby for men😂 Cheers! What I love about it is that you play people from literally all over the world! 😎🤙🤙
3:05 in rugby once you drop the ball you can’t pick it back up unless you kicked it, if you look closely, the players foot made contact with the ball, so the ball is still his.

The average school field is so much more brutal than most of this video. In the Uk we start playing this sort at 11 in South Africa they start at age 6. The head protection it to help a player who has ripped ears, its a common injury, a lot of Rugby players have whats called cabbage ear.
I thought for sure American Football was the tougher sport. Huge guys sprinting full speed into each other and shoulder charging, nasty stuff. But Turns out Rugby has about 3-4x the injury rate and 2.5x the concussion rate. Though I think the rate of serious injury is about the same.
Played from when I was 7 to 20. Broken sternum, multiple ribs, dislocated fingers a few times, had to get knee surgery, broke nose in three places and had a broken collarbone over the years. Loved it but school and club rugby in Australia is far from the "gentleman game". I occasionally think about going back to playing in my 30s in some suburban masters age league but nah, hurts just to think about.

You cant drop or pass the ball forward in rugby (if you get lucky and you drop it straight down.....its ok if it goes/bounces backwards)........you can kick the ball forward however. So that crazy try the guy scored where hes dropped the ball near the line....he kicked it with his foot forward before it bounced, perfectly fine. If he didnt touch it with his foot before the ball hit the floor, he couldn't of legally picked the ball back up. He also did amazingly well to not touch the line with the ball in hand....which if the ball's in your possesion and you touch the line in anyway...it counts as the ball being out.
started playing rugby when i was 6 played untill i was 26 semi-pro then came off a motobike had spiral fracture, but ive seen it all (theeth gone, ears ripped off,arms/legs twisted in wrong way, eyes poped out list goes on 🤣 my time i lost 5 theeth over my years, had a dude Bite my ankle once and curb stomped him out... i do miss it.
It's amusing that the only Polynesian people Americans seem to know are either Hawaiian or Samoan. Hawaiians don't play Rugby at this level - but Samoan, Tongan, and Māori (Aotearoa New Zealand) do.
It's not a helmet It's called a skullcap more or less used to prevent cauliflower ears which is part and parcel of the game depending on your position and doe's little if anything to prevent head injuries.
3.07 if he touched the ball and it goes forward and fall to the ground the balls out of play but he kicked the ball at this moment. So the ball is in play and he can picked it up for a try.
A legal tackle is anything below the shoulders and above the waist, one on one (usually)... That double guillotine tackle, top and bottom was highly illegal and very dangerous. The tackle where the guy got a shoulder to the head, also an illegal tackle. When you consider the average weight of a rugby player without pads is anywhere from 218kg to 260kg and moving at anywhere from 10m per second (sometimes over 11m per second), that gives you an impact force of about 22g's? Usain Bolt's world record 100m time puts him at about 10.43 metres per second.... But then he didn't have a ball to carry and worry about incoming wrestlers trying to get it off him....
Rugby is not that brutal the way you tackle your fine… been starting safety in ruby for 8 years now and only got hurt once. Played football my whole life got hurt more playing football because the pads make you just fling your body into people. With rugby you have better form so less injury
If you want to see big hits then check out rugby league state of origin Australia, New South Wales against Queensland big hits sold out crowds in a 3 game series
I broke my nose in three places playing high school rugby. Had to get it surgically reset (basically knocked out then they jam two steel rods up the nose and straighten it by hand). The surgeon was an ex-Wallaby and he joked he was just knocking me out because I was 14 but over his career he'd reset his teammates noses after games without anesthesia. I had two black eyes the next day and very bruised cheeks.
Rugby is impressive, oh yeah. However quite a few of those tackles were illegal as hell. Cant just charge into someone with your shoulder, as you would in hockey. Any contact with the head or neck is strictly punished often by a dismissal for the rest of the match(red card) and probably even further suspension, unless there are mitigating circumstances, where you might get away with a yellow (10minutes on the sideline). Finally you cant pass forward by hand and that includes even when you drop the ball and pick it up again...
Seems you guys stumbled upon our freight train testing program. Nothing to see here, nothing to see here. I used to play Football (not handegg) and Rugby and sometimes i'd forget which is which, got reds a couple of time because of it.

I occasionally think about going back to playing in my 30s in some suburban masters age league but nah, hurts just to think about.
you should check out the fastest sport on grass Irish Hurling its 3 thousand year's old and they use sticks shaped like an axe and its brutal many fights its like hockey but really fast
The most brutal sport is Calcio Storico in Florence, it’s literally a gladiator fight mixed with rugby, unfortunately recently they banned swords but it’s still incredible. You should look it up, you’ll love it
I'll see your Calcio Storico and raise you an Atherstone Ball Game.
1 rule. No murdering.
2:00 & 3:32 is the Australian NRL/Rugby league State of origin NOT RUGBY UNION.
lol in england we have Gypsy fights AKA Tyson fury who before been the world champion was a street fighter.
Hey fellas! you have your own International Team, "The American Eagles" support them and maybe they'll fly!!
I'm 13 years old playing for under 15s. AND those guys, they're freaking animals. I broke a leg,a tooth and almost my back. The scrums are back breaking. I atleast got my first try, though it took a while to get used to it😊😊.
It’s an English sport, popular in England’s ex colonies like Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. And England of course.
started playing rugby when i was 6 played untill i was 26 semi-pro then came off a motobike had spiral fracture, but ive seen it all (theeth gone, ears ripped off,arms/legs twisted in wrong way, eyes poped out list goes on 🤣 my time i lost 5 theeth over my years, had a dude Bite my ankle once and curb stomped him out... i do miss it.
It's amusing that the only Polynesian people Americans seem to know are either Hawaiian or Samoan. Hawaiians don't play Rugby at this level - but Samoan, Tongan, and Māori (Aotearoa New Zealand) do.
I have a suggestion for you, please watch irish gaelic football it's class. And also irish hurling I think you'll enjoy both😊
It's not a helmet It's called a skullcap more or less used to prevent cauliflower ears which is part and parcel of the game depending on your position and doe's little if anything to prevent head injuries.
3.07 if he touched the ball and it goes forward and fall to the ground the balls out of play but he kicked the ball at this moment. So the ball is in play and he can picked it up for a try.
There’s a way worse hit compilation that this😂 that one is brutal this one is tame as hell
3:10 mark he dropped the ball then kicked it, it’s a knock on if goes forward out of the hands
Fire video 👌🏾
Preciate it 💪🏽
bro at my school someone broke their wrist while trying to go straight in rugby (i go to tauranga intermediet)
"Most brutal" vid but no scrums? No rucks? The scrum is one of the craziest things going.
250lbs running a 10 second 100, no pads, no breaks in play no team rotation, 40 minute halves
U got a Welsh rugby boy playing now. Rees zammit. Watch out for him. No pads to🤣💗
We ate this world cup too💪🏾🇿🇦
Bro I am telling watch school rugby
Rugby is not that brutal the way you tackle your fine… been starting safety in ruby for 8 years now and only got hurt once. Played football my whole life got hurt more playing football because the pads make you just fling your body into people. With rugby you have better form so less injury
Dude on the right needs to tell me more about how he likes his shrimp
You should watch the video "10 Minutes of Nigel Owens being Nigel Owens". He's the best and wittiest rugby referee ever.
Headgear is more or less used to protect your ears to prevent cauliflower ear
Rugby is my love language ❤
If you want to see big hits then check out rugby league state of origin Australia, New South Wales against Queensland big hits sold out crowds in a 3 game series
You could get isekai'd because these boys hits harder than truck-kun😳😳😳
As I know rugby there is not one player with a full set of teeth. They all have bent noses too. ❤️🇬🇧
My guys check out the NRL and the Seven Series....
The highlights and big hits
I will not comply
Played prop no 3 you be surprised how much fun a good tackle is oh and night's out after a game can be wild if things kick off
Rugby is 80 ish mins of brutality. American Football is 4hours of adverts
It’s not helmets lmao it’s a scum cap and it’s to help you with cauliflower ear and to stop your ear getting ripped off
Rugby is English, the best league in the word is in England but its massive in Aus, NZ, France, SA and so on.
The Premiership is not the best league in the world
Can you guys please react to “rugby steppers” next
Yall need to react to the worlds deadlist motorcycle race… “the Isle of Man TT”
@3:00 isn’t that a forward pass???????
Yeah bro you guys need to watch the most brutal rugby team in the world , The All Blacks and then South Africa.
You lads should react to this video (Why AFL Is the Best Sport in the World)
Rugby is impressive, oh yeah. Finally you cant pass forward by hand and that includes even when you drop the ball and pick it up again...
rugby til I collapse
Seems you guys stumbled upon our freight train testing program. Nothing to see here, nothing to see here.
I used to play Football (not handegg) and Rugby and sometimes i'd forget which is which, got reds a couple of time because of it.
Bro you should watch "biggest Rugby hits"
Look at the video Russell Crowe just released that is a short explanation of the rules for Rugby League in preparation for the two National Rugby League (NRL) matches that will be played in Vegas on 2nd March. They will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 Channel. One of the teams going to Vegas is Crowe’s team (he owns it) the South Sydney Rabbitohs. The Bunnies have won 21 Premierships since the competition started in 1908. No other team in the competition comes anywhere near that total. Rugby League is different to Rugby Union. ua-cam.com/video/6JPPzTnUZz4/v-deo.htmlsi=Wj4JNNKKzB68HKav
😊 from New zealand.
PADS are for USA football.😅
the most brutal sport in the world was saved by the most Sexiest woman in the world Tina.
“In the late 80s, rugby league - and Australia, was a very different place.
The sport of rugby league was far from the multimillion dollar behemoth it is today.
Still known as the NSWRL and dripping with tobacco advertising, the game realised that it needed a revamp to attract a new audience in the face of the growing threat from the south, the expanding VFL.
Enter one of the most iconic musical acts of the 20th century, Tina Turner.
The American superstar known as the Queen of Rock'n'roll becoming the figurehead for the - at that stage more than any other - slightly downtrodden, Australian-based working-class game.” ( Simon Smale, May 20230.

W vid🔥🔥🔥
Two different sports here.... Rugby league and Rugby Union! Very similar games...but also vey different. Both will test a mans metal...average Aussie kid starts playing this in school around 7 - 8 years. Rugged boys fer sure!
That ball hit his feet so its ok! If he drops it infront of him without a leg then its a knock on and its not a try.
You can only pass the ball backwards otherwise people would just camp out at the try(goal) line and wait to get the ball to score
If you think Rugby is brutal have a look at Italy's Calcio Storrico (hope I spelt that right)!
rules you can only pass backwards and you can kick it forward
