Dane and his brothers are some of the best people in the “industry”. They surf it all, ankle high to maxed out Cloudbreak. Watch Dane on that huge cloudbreak day years back, absolutely charging. Cheers from San Francisco 🤙🏽
I follow what I think are some of the best surfing UA-cam channels. Somehow this is one of the ones I like the most. Normal guy reviewing equipment with the perspective of an average surfer!!! I personally don’t give a damn about pro surfing, I imagine most of people don’t as well and that’s why I can relate with this channel!! Keep up like this, upload more and I foresee a good 2024
This was super helpful to me as someone who has very comparable form and skill level as you! I always try to use your surfing as a point of reference for me. So thank you so much for posting this video! It’s like a free surf coaching session from one of the worlds best!
The GSkate is a great all around board. Im 165 and on the 5'6" and the board paddles and even grovels sooo good once you learn how to drive it. Love the 2 plus 1 set up.
Having PG give you pointers must way boost your confidence. I like your channel because you surf junky waves (I live in SoNJ and surf same junky waves too) and you show tests of boards in the local waves. Seeing super-pro's on fantastic waves doesn't give much indication of what a board does. So thanks!
Yury! This was a great interview! I love watching your reviews and the stoke. It was really cool to have a pro like Dane review your footage and give feedback! I've been wanting something similar with my surfing! The counter-intuitive technique for the barrel riding and the tip on the cutback is gold! I'm going to apply this to my surfing as well! Keep up the good work!
Love the barrel tips from Dane aka LEGEND! I’m guilty of not making it out of the barrel too many times and his pointers make so much sense! How epic is it to get pointers from Dane - class act! And love watching your channel grow!
Are the bobby quad and the g skate good boards for a quiver (I surf in the mediterranean sea) small waves and stormy conditions. Can they be used in bigger surf on a trip? Thanks!!
I’ve never tried Bobby Quad but based on the outline it will cover smaller days better. The G skate in Spine Tek (EPS) could do well in weak waves if you size it up a bit more. That will also help to get in a bit earlier in bigger surf. Hope this helps!
Yury what’s up man, great channel New subscriber here I’m in Jersey also. Was looking at a shorter board than the 6’4” trimcraft burner I have, the g slate looks fun but I’m afraid it doesn’t have enough rocker. How tall are you and what size would you suggest for a 6’1” surfing at or close to your level of surfing. Ps I also have a 5’8” wills fish but want more bottom turn thruster…
Hey Christopher! Thank you for watching. I wouldn't worry about the rocker.. I didn't have an issue with making steeper drops. It just depends on what conditions/waves you want to surf? I would say, my 5'8" G Skate is a friendly version of other high performance boards in CI fleet like 5'8" Neckbeard 3 for instance which I got as a gift from my buddy. I just love the fact that it handles bigger waves and I feel confident to push hard. If you go 5'10" you should be all set IMO. Tbh, I'm very curious how the Spine-tek would work for me. I may have to order one soon :) Is your Wills Fish in PU or Varial?
Having pro feedback on a surfer at your level on east coast waves, unique. Loving it.
More to come! Thank you for watching 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Dane's the man! Seems like a genuine dude with a true love of surfing. Great interview!

No word.. if I see one around I may try😁
Can you do a review of the CI Rocket Wide ?
I would love to. My buddy had one but unfortunately he broke it :( Once I have an opportunity, I will review it.
