The need for a name other than “video game” feels really overdue. Theres endless potential in this stuff but it’s forced to categorize itself as a game, lest it goes ignored by the industry and only appears in some indie tech magazines.
The irony is there are PLENTY of people that aren’t interested in video games but’d really enjoy something like this, but how would this be accessible to them in the first place? They generally don’t own consoles, certainly not a pc expensive enough to run this.
So as of today, unfortunately, the best name we have is “walking simulator” as this “game” desperately tries to market itself to people who aren’t interested in it, while alienating the ones that would like to give it a try.

I’m one of those people. I don’t have the patience for actual video games I would end up breaking things before I got very far but something like this I will watch on UA-cam just to get my sci-fi kick on. If there were enough of these though I would definitely buy a console
Unfortunately, this is the case with many games, the potential is definitely there but I think the small indie studios are currently doing a better job with the tension and horror.

Yes, for the most part that's the case, a few action scenes would have been good, I always hoped that an alien or a monster or something like that would show up at some point

Oh yes, you're right, as with every horror film, you should always make sure that the enemy is really no longer a threat.
When she dies and then they finally show up at the last moment, I literally went what, jack lost her right as they show, that really chocked me

Enjoyed watching this for the most part. Annoying when the player completely ignores where the game tells them to go and gets confused but it is what it is I guess 😅

This one made me laugh so hard. They are literally in a horror movie scenario and know it yet make the same exact mistakes every horror movie protagonist makes.
Yes, I thought that too in some situations, it all seemed more like a film where you have no influence on some things.😄
@@paranormal_gaming_channel I wonder if that is the designers point, that having no choice in this scenario is the true horror. I'm not knocking all the hard work put into this game, especially some of the tech design which is excellent but the game was not ultimately for me.

It's like an early Alpha of unreal engine 5... With sub par textures and lighting effects as well as environment for what unreal engine five can really do. It looks good still, but if anyone in this comment section reads this wants to see a really beautiful example of unreal engine five in all its glory; Callisto protocol.
I think graphically the game is really well done, it looks like a film and shows a lot of what Unreal Engine 5 can do, but the story is a bit weak and I miss the action here, Callisto was at least packed with a lot more action.

It looks so boring and easy to make in unreal engine, the game basically has no gameplay, its just walking around to points, pressing a button, more like a interactive movie then a game.

I think it's more like a movie 😄 but yes it's nice to play and pass time, unfortunately less action than expected.
This looks a-lot like Callisto Protocol, but without the annoying ‘things’ that keep jumping out on you and trying their best to rip your head off.
Callisto can be so annoying but compulsive to play.
This game however, looks beautifully made but the challenge and interest is a bit boring.

The game is based on demonstrating the capabilities of the game itself, like look how we can do all sorts of things! Only all this is unplayable garbage! The simulator is not walking but the simulation of the game itself! The idea is good, the implementation is zero
This atmosphere of the game is very suitable for the plot of "Alien part one" or "The Thing" is worth simply replacing dust with snow

25 bucks for 2 hrs of game.... yea no.
It's only worth it if it were on sale for 5 dollars
lots of plot teasing, never ending walking, no real action, no actual mystery solving... too long and a basically pointless story with missleading build up. it has a decent atmosphere and decent graphics but it looks more like a (outdated) tech demo than a game, or even an interactive movie. I watched it all waiting for something to happen and after it ended without any resembling of payoff, i hate its guts.
thanks for the video anyway, Paranormal Gaming, tho' a warning ("you'll never get your time back") would have been appreciated hehe... well! to be fair one of the protagonist said that at some point early in the game, foreshadowing at its finest I guess.

I would highly recommend Still Wakes the Deep and definitely the classic Resident Evil 1 Remake is a little insider tip, Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light are just really good, you can find everything on our channel Bro

The graphics are drop dead gorgious, the animation, textures, facial motions and expressions are really something, extremely life like. Great quality dialogue too.

Good lord, a walking simulator with good graphics. But endless sequences of walking..walking..walking..opening a door..going into a room..walking out of the room..going down another hallway..through an airlock..outside for a minute..back inside..more doors..there's an alarm and the guy enters the ventilation (?) system..literally 3 minutes of watching his butt move back and fourth (this may be a feature for some) as we follow as he crawls and crawls and crawls..and crawls some more..and then: another lock! And a room..and another door leading into a supply room...
I'm so glad I saw this before considering buying it. Pretty good dialogue & voice acting, generally good graphics, good exposition through reading and watching videos, but plot is sooooo tedious and the walking..and walking..and doors..and crawling...and more rooms..and...

interactive crime drama, not usually my cup of tea but i got hooked an had to watch the whole thing. honestly i cant stand a happy ending, too unrealistic. bittersweet is a better story, HOWEVER...the camera didnt exactly SHOW her die...so...
