Kayak fishing the marsh on St Simons Island

First of all I would like to apologize for my hiatus…between my sister having a baby and my grandparents in very poor health, to working 50+ hours a week…I haven’t even had any time to myself. My sister is finally healing from her cesarean surgery. Mom is doing well. Grandparents are declining but stable…so finally I am here. My work. Creating. Where my passion flourishes.
This is the last day from mine and Mom’s mini trip to St Simons Island.
The marshes scare me. Mud. Maze like canal ways with grass so tall you could so easily get lost. Crabs that will eat anything…so of corse I decided to kayak them. Kayak the marshes I did…I google satellite researched the marsh area very well. Made sure I had service, sunscreen, and water, and let my location be known to family…then I set out on a scary adventure.
I ended up catching 2 crabs . and one catfish. Not what I wanted but I had a good time.
It’s safe to say…I have not much interest in kayaking the marshes anymore. I think I’ll stick to clear water 😅😄

I hope you ended up catching some fish. I was scared you would come across an alligator. That sure did look fun. I'm not that brave to go by myself. I have never kayaked but my son does he loves it. I enjoyed this video see you in the next one

Can you talk about kayaking? How you got started? How long have you been kayaking. Is there training you need to take? Do you swim? Do you wear a life vest? Have you ever flipped? Is there licensing with kayaking? Does water get in the kayak? Is there special attire for kayaking? When fishing how do you keep the kayak from moving away? I’ve never seen the fish you catch. You are so confident and brave to go on these trips alone. So beautiful and peaceful out there. Was that lady on a paddle board?

Thank you Donna! I think what has happened is most of my subscribers came from the “we bought our mom a fifth wheel to live in” but really I like to make a lot of adventure videos and I don’t think alot of my subs follow me for that 😫 it’s ok 😊
