BigDWiz back again with another amplifier review and test. Today we are checking out my (MINT), vintage Proton D1200 home audio amplifier. I showed this amp in a previous video changing out the VU meter lamps with LED replacements. Today I'll talk more about the amp and show it tested on the Amp Dyno so we can see if this amp is the real deal or not!

name of the song in the beginning of the video!?!?
never mind found it!!
does the company have another model to hook up two pair of speakers instead of one!?
don't see a volume nob or bass and treble control!? Is it only by remote control!?!?
It's only a "power amp" it needs a "pre amp" to control it. no remote. It looks like he has a NAD pre amp on top of it.
VU's and green lights; I'm sold. I don't even care how much power it has.
+Des420 I'm with you. VU meters make it sound better 😬
I'm a Believer ! That's a freakin' beautiful amp ! The very fact, It offers such great power capabilities, make this thing a bit of a "unicorn". Probably, the kind of an amplifier, that will, "wake up", an otherwise very good sounding , but inefficient / low "sensitivity" speaker i.e. ~ 84db - 88db range ? btw - If I'm not mistaken. The Proton brand was the result of the "parting of the ways" between the " Design Team" / Management of NAD and the then, Manufacturer in Japan - 'Funai'. Either way, under either brand; they always made "good stuff"; even at "affordable" entry levels. Unfortunately, the Company changed directions by the end of the 1980's. So they stopped making Audio products.
I bought mine back in 1987 along with its companion preamplifier and I love it. It has powered Voice of the Theatre cabinets, EV SV15 cabaret nightclub style cabinets and jbl 4312s. Now I'm powering a pair of Time Windows. A really beautifully designed and executed piece of gear. I still lust after old Macintosh tube-driven gear. But this stuff has been in pretty much constant use for 35 years.
Unreal. I heard one of these back in the day and was impressed but never imagined it was that powerful.
I really love those meters! This thing is an absolute monster! Seems like Proton was really onto something with their dynamic power system.
+hifivega agreed. Have no idea why it didn't catch on and continue 🤔
I bought one from Crutchfield back in 1986 or so. I loved that amp. I finally sold it on ebay around 2000. Damn I wish I did not. What a great amplifier the Proton D1200 is, and to see something this old still working this good is a testament to the quality of those products. I think I paid $599.00 and I ran Advent Maestro Loudspeakers and many others as well as the Cerwin Vega AT15 beast. Miss those days. I now have 2 each ATI AT2505 and an Emotiva LPA-1 amplifiers. I have owned Many the best of Sansui amplifiers and Yamaha M series amplifiers as well as others, But that Proton was one of my favorites and those Beautiful VU Power Meters.
😬👍
i sold an nad once. it was listed less than an hour. i immediately regretted it and within months bought another one on ebay. it wasn’t the same. ever again.
@@wal Love to see an Old School Onkyo M504 run on dynamic. Thx
@@wal I’m curious what state that it came from when you purchased it on eBay. I have a funny feeling I know where it came from. Central Florida. 2017. I gave one to a friend of mine that was helping me move. in 1985 my dad bought one, in 2010 when he passed away, my mother gave me his whole stereo system. I had it running a custom-made subwoofer in my theater system in my living room until I moved. I was going into a small apartment, and the last thing that I needed was complaints. 😂
The question must be asked. How does this amp sound, compared to a NAD2200? I've had a 2200 since 1988, and always loved the dynamic sound. Lots and lots of power. Blew through many a tweeter in my Infinitys'. Actually, "blew up" the crossover in one of the speakers. Luckily, I was able to find an entire new crossover and replace it. The output relays in the 2200's were "el cheapo" and many 2200 owners had problems with drop outs. I had to replace mine about 10 years ago.
I bought the d540 integrated amp new from a audio store that was going out of business in 1995 for $50 it's still going strong I listen to it every day good amps
i just found your channel the other day... man you bring back memories....
I used to have a ppi powered system.
Had an a404 , a600, and the monster a1200. Had a pair of jbl 1800gti's... you are the only person i know that would know what im talking about these days...
My dad still uses the custom Rt 66 metal coaster that came with the PG Rt 66 amp.... wish i still had that thing... man i had so many amps id die to get back today. smh
anyways.
I love your vids. keep up the good work!
+Random Someone awesome bro! Glad to have you. Welcome to the OSS madness 😜
Joshua Moore I was a die hard PPi guy. Im starting to get the itch again... havent built a system in ages...
Random Someone I am 50, and i got boomn again.
Random Someone
Having high quality reproduction of the music that soothes our souls is a feverous addiction that is not unlike herpes...it always comes back or never leaves. I'm adamant about having strong bass but I also require mids and highs to be up to task. Build another system brother and let us know how it goes.
Random Someone Head over to DIYMA.... the ONLY worthwhile car audio forum still kicking strong. Quite a few of us will know the gear you're speaking of.
you can run any amp bridged even if it doesnt have a bridged switch. you just gotta invert one input signal (usualy right channel) and connect the speaker to both positive terminals (L+ R-)
the easiest way to do this is using one of those ground loop isolators and cross one channel at the output
or use the amp with a balanced audio signal +L. -R, gnd to gnd.
a bridge switch on a amp just feeds the left channel into the right one but inverted, it doesnt change anything in the amp itself.
I’ll need you to make a video explaining that 😬
its on my list^ will notify you when its up.
Love ALL old-school stereo equipment videos whether its car audio, home audio, P.A., boomboxes or other...I will watch!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I absolutely love my D1200!! I'm driving a pair of 8 ohm JBL L65 Jubals with it currently, in conjunction with an NAD integrated amp (using it's preamp only), along with a Rega Planar 3 turntable ❤🎶❤🎶❤🎶👍😀
Sweet! As I mentioned before, I used to have Proton car amps back in the early 80's and they were great.
Back in 1982, I also had a German made Roadstar (Gelhard) RS-89 EQ/Amp Remote Control Graphic EQ/Audio Amplifier with LED power indicator. 5-band EQ with a power button and volume control all on a gooseneck which connected to a separate amplifier. I loved the power, but mostly the ability to flex the EQ and hide it under the passenger seat. My wife used to call it ET. Thanks for the memories. Great job!
+Mr Ol Skül awesome! Love your username, BTW 😊
Proton made incredible TVs back in the day. Picture tubes of course but were top of the line. Sold a ton of them
Bumper sticker idea:
I ❤ my Proton D1200 🙂
lol this amp is 5 months OLDER than my GF!!! lol
and I LOOOOOVE that cigarette ad in Stereo Review
+anon lol 😂
Insane power for a amp that old ...these are selling on E-bay for a few hundred bucks ....I think I will pick one up !!
+Gabriel Balfour better get one quick before this video gets noticed 😲
BigDWiz
no shit, I hope no one see it.lol
I got mine from a pawn shop in 97 for $259 with the D1100 preamp. There a video of it.
Woah this thing is bad ass!!
I spent a big chunk of change on a Zapco amp a few years ago and while hooking it up, I arc'd the + / - and it wouldn't turn on. I felt dead inside.
Checked the fuse I had running from the alt to the rear and found it was blown. Swapped it out and did the same as you: Prayers to the amp gods, crossing of fingers, and promises to never do it again.
Success! It's still running faithfully in the back of its THIRD car and I have been more careful than ever to not do that (basic things like not having live wires unless they're necessary during an install).
Gotta learn somehow, I guess!
👌😬👍
Old school and high quality liked zappco and your gold
Happy to see you getting into the 1980s Proton and NAD gear. Both brands were built in the same Taiwanese factory for a while, and there are many connections between them, although they were never the same company as many people seem to think.
I'd love to see you try out the original NAD 3020 integrated amp, which is the model that really put them on the map. It was rated at just 20 watts per channel, but delivered much more. The original budget audiophile bargain.
+gotham61 the D1200 is built to a different level than the NAD 2200. Not just the VU meters, but the internals are quite a bit more impressive, proven by the power output test. My friend in high school had a 20x2 rated Proton and it was insanely loud. I really like both MFG's, but would go Proton over NAD if given a choice
I just found your channel and wow love these home dyno test. I'd love to see more.
Thanks man. I mostly test car amplifiers, but will test home and pro audio amps too
Hi BigDWiz, judging by some forums, the fuse used in the amp, is the slow burning one. Also thank you for the great review/power test on the Behringer nu1000, I got the dsp version and very happy with it. The dsp what I needed since I have a huge 60hz boost from my room and the way the speakers are so that fixed my problems. The fan is extremley loud but I replaced it and it works great now.
+EndstyleGG great info, thanks! I figured someone would call me out. I honestly didn't think of it even possibly being a slow blow until I got the replacements in and they looked different 🤔. Glad to hear the Behringer NU1000 is working well for you
I have two of those beasts. Bought in 1987 when I worked in a HIFI shop. Still working....
That was incredible. Thank you for taking the risk running that 2ohm test you definitely go all out for your viewers.
+shane n whew bro, I blew the fuse twice and after replacing it the 2nd time, I figured I'd take it easy. To beautiful of an Amp to kill, but yeah, gotta risk some or go home 🤙
I have this same amp, and I love it! So far the biggest problem has been with the rear RCA input Jacks. They're only supported by the solder holding it to the board, and not secured to the chassis.
Yes, that was a terrible design! I bought some panel mount RCA’s I want to change out
I used to have proton car audio years ago I thought they were ahead of their time
Check out the dyno test of my Proton D275 on Dereck's channel.
That is one beautiful amp!!! Inside and out!
Conservatively rated is an understatement. Excellent video and stroll down memory lane.
Hey bigD, how would you rate this amps sound quality, warmth, etc.. overall listening?
I like that it is only 100wpc and the meters actually move. I have several higher powered amps and the needle barely moves. Looks like a decent amp with the high, high headroom.
I still have 3 of them
Best sounding amp I’ve ever had
Always go back to it for the sound quality. I’ve put my d1200 against many triple cost big name amps and the proton always sounds best
What a nice and powerful old-school piece of Hi-fi equipment
That's what makes the old stuff so good. Solid build quality and premium components
+G6 Liara agreed, you really got what you paid for back then. This would cost about $1200 in 2017 dollars, accounting for inflation
Which isn't too bad for an amp with these specifications.
A modern-day equivalent would easily set you back $2500 or more
Great material. I have two great protons. I bought one for parts but managed to fix it. Beautiful equipment! I recommend to everyone!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I love watching your amp vids. Waiting for you to dyno the crown xls series, also I'd like to see the power rating at all freq. for .5 seconds at .5 percent distortion.
I have an XLi 2502 and have tested it, just couldn’t get the bridged mode to work correctly. It’s strong 💪
@@wal have you polished that test? If love to see it.
BigDWiz I just got one of these yesterday it is the bridgeable model and i am comparing it to my Halfer XL600 power amp I let you know
+Marvin Perryman oh boy, I think the Proton will smoke the Hafler...but both superb amps!
Marvin, how did the competition go?
I am looking at 2 on ebay, can you tell me if it will throw the bass to my vintage Cerwin vega AT 15's. My old Kenwood amp of same era cuts out with protection on when i crank it.
I bought my D1200 (used) back in the eighties. I had to replace one of the big caps, but it's still going strong. I'll prolly do your LED conversion soon.
+Michael Cox did you find a suitable replacement for the cap? Did u replace one or both?
I only replaced one; it was leaking black goo out of it. LOL.
You had me at giant green VU meters.
@bigDWiz i just got D1200 of ebay with D1100 pre amp and rdaunt short ms908 speakers , by just watching this video, and as well as that i bought NAD 2200. So now that I've got both of them beasts , which one is better overall in your opinion to keep?
+DJorDJeDJ Proton D1200 for sure!!! If only one, Proton, but they are both superb amps.
Wow you are so lucky !!! This is a dream amp for me i am in the vintage stuff my speakers are from the 70' imf tls-50-ii nice job !!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Bro its your dream ? I have two 😁 Look into my chanel :D u can buy one msg me on e-mail to detail .
Holy crap! Those are some monumental numbers for something that runs off house current. I'm also glad it survived the run. How much does that thing weigh?
It’s heavy, like 35lbs
I would like to see some vintage McIntosh power amps tested on that thing one day, if possible.
+Random Tube me too 👌
so i'm pretty sure almost ALL audio equip uses slow blow. that's why a lot of people will seem to have repeated fuse problems. like my buddy w/ some old cerwin-vega floor standing speakers. he was using fast blows and they just weren't made for those.
Hey Big D Check your amp for corrosive glue it is on the four caps in rear by the speaker terminals if it’s there it is corrosive and becomes conductive and short out anything it touches
+Marvin Perryman it survived the test and is nicely packed away for safe keeping. I’ll check it out next time I get to it. Thanks for the tip
Got this amp for my Stax SR-5 Gold which is an electrostatic headphone from 1982.
I had a modern high end cambridge but it sounded unnatural so I looked for something from around the same time.
Trying to fry your SR5s? The SRDB6 converter had a max input of 10W RMS. I use a Rotel 820 BX2 for my SR5s. Live near to the sea, first diaphragm set failed at 17 years, found a spare set of complete phones was cheaper than just the diaphragm set. Great units , prompted me to get Martin Logan Summit X for music. Not a moment of buyers regret! Cheers from Oz
I just bought a 77' Sony E7B Pre-amp. I was looking at this or a Phillips 5781 Power amp. Any Thoughts on SQ?
I've got that same proton amp. It's so cool to see in person. If you ever want to sell yours I'll buy it.
This is one amp I plan on keeping. Very unique!
BigDWiz I don't blame you. It's so chunky cool!
Good video - very cool amp and really amazing wattage! I don't even think speakers back then could handle that much power. You could use this amp in a professional environment with that kind of power.
+Joshua's Recordings plenty of power, even for the most demanding speakers!
Martin logan Speakers from that time would love it
I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but from the printing on the board the fuse looks like it should be a time delay or slow blow fuse. The T8A is printed next to the holder T=time delay. Should help to keep it from blowing early.
+hypothermix yes, I can always count on you guys to school me, but I take it as learning. I'll be the first to admit I don't know it all. Thanks for watching and keeping me straight 👍
The inside of that amp is beautiful.
+ClayPF this amp was kept in a dust free audio rack its entire life. Still can't believe how good shape it is in after all of these years. Well built too...except the RCA jacks. Unreal how they were attached
Now I know even more, why I love my D1200! Got it used in the early 90s and will NEVER give it away!
I also have the P1100 pre-amplifier by Proton, but I run it with a Yamaha CX-2 (sounds better)
👌😬👍
Im in love with this AMP!!!
There is nice space to drill out and install the chassis mounted RCA input jacks...I had chronic issues with the PC board mounted ones. ..I have 2 bridgeable "1200's...so 2 running mono..my subs sure do sing...!!...
.
👌😬👍
I still own a D1200. I love it for its power and looks. The only weakness is the inputs that are directly on the board, the damned things need to be repaired every now and then.
Yeah need to swap those generic RCA’s for panel mount
how much power does Yamaha rn303 puts out because its a budget amp(plz)
UA-cam isn’t worthless after all. Cheers, Prost, Chin Chin.
👌😬👍
Just a little taste of the 80's when people say they were glad like myself that we loved the 80's this amp was just a little thing that was great in those 1980's!!!! I bought a Kenwood basic M1 amplifier was a monster of an AMP! 1200+ WATTS..........
Something about those VU meters!
I wanna see audiobahn a 1500 hct on the dyno. been an awesome amp but does it really do 2k at 1 ohm
Yes it does ..or even more into 0.5 ohm...I worked there... Run at 1.0 ohm or higher..2 batteries to each amp...
I'm officially on the hunt for one of these......Beauty and the beast.....I remember when these thing came out....I think I had that copy of Audio that you referenced.....Knew they were powerful but damn....Kind of reminds me of the Onkyo Integra with those awesome meters.....simply audio jewelry!
Agreed! I used to drool over these in the magazines and Crutchfield catalogs back in the day
Love that vu(e) at the end
+Destiny is Life I could watch it all day
How does that pull so much power from the wall man? Incredible.
another victory for the proton owners club. thanks big d.
BTW, some of my pots and rotary switches are getting noisy. What's the best way to rectify that (aside from replacing them...I'm guessing they're made from unobtainium)? DeoxIT?
Thanks.
+Michael Cox deoxit or contact cleaner. Many of the pots have holes you can fit the spray nozzle into. The sealed ones I don't think can be lubed
I'll open her up and if they're sealed. Thanks!
Its ironic people tell you not to buy a 35 year old box of dried capacitors but those caps are kicking ass
Big D I have a 1200-1500 watt Slugger amp ive tried to do online searches for information on this amp. Was wondering if you know anything about this amp. I greatly appreciated your videos and expertise my good man. Much Love and Respect!
+Anthony sandoval never heard of that amp brand, I hope I don't offend you, but it sounds like one of those Flea Market brand names? Love and respect back at ya 🤙
yes yes yes. thanks mate. this is what i explain to my other half while she ignores me. idk why i try to explain it to her.
my nad 3150 was very much like this in terms of headroom.
the nad is maybe my favorite amp.
proton is great.
thanks.
Just bought one because of this video. Msrp price from 1985!
I would like to see what a Proton 222 does on the Dyno. I remember installing a lot of these back in the day, and I think they were better than the Punch 40, and ma6even the Punch 60.
I did the D275 a few years ago 1988 Proton D275 Dynamic Power on Demand Amplifier AD-1 Test
ua-cam.com/video/eYDHFD5ITa4/v-deo.html
BigD-
I bought a house to flip and found three of these brand new in box, never opened. Also an A1150 NIB. I mentioned it on reddit audiophile several months ago but am just getting around to dealing with it. Some Sony DAT that weighs about 50lbs. And a JVC something or other that's also super heavy. The guy had Genesis main speakers and all kinds of other stuff and my guys ended up tossing most of everything that wasn't in a new box. I've since learned that he spent something like $50k just for the speakers. I am an idiot because I just told the crew to toss most of it.
I found a guy locally who will put these on ebay for me.
Do you have any other advice on how to get rid of this stuff?
The Counterpoint SA-5's have never even been put together. The tubes and all paperwork are still inside the case- meaning you'd have to take it apart just to get to the manuals. Tubes and all of that still separate from the unit, but same box.
What do I have here, and how do I sell it?
Thanks. email me rather than respond on here please.
-J
+Jonathan Smith hey Jonathan, I don't have your email address. You can contact me BigDWiz (at) gmail dot com
I have this amp, in need of repair, sooooon I hope. Purchased, in the late 80's. It died on me a couple years ago. The RCA inputs on mine are that flimsy too.
Proton also had the AA-1150, rated at half the power of the D1200.
+ErcsAudio I'm pretty sure the RCA's are flimsy on all of the D1200's. Sorry to hear yours needs to be repaired, that's a bummer 😔
Hi, i have mine , used it 3-4 hours total use . Like new in mint condition ! Fully boxed , not exposed to open air. Fully working ! its "Cheery" the power is enormous and unhear of. This video shows all What this amp can do. forget your next door neighbor. you will own the intire city block ! ! ! 8 ohms about 348 watts per channel, up to over 1740 watts per channel using 2 ohms. Power On Demand ! it should have been named. " THE DEMON "
+rayshaunting666 👌😊👍
This explains why old 100w amps sounded like new 500w amps
Can you elaborate? I'm asking because only a few manufacturers from that age of electronics over-built their amplifiers to provide a stable output at low impedance while remaining affordable. Thanks.
chewsir nope. most amps were underrated.
my citation 16 was.
my nads all are.
marantz 1250 too
hell my early nineties h/k avr was underrated as well.
most all the old amps and specs for them were listed at 8 ohm loads, with low harmonic distortion, and most were capable of higher current for short intervals.
newer box garbage is listed wrong. usually not on the box besides giant wattage numbers. when you call tech reps they will tell you typically that the numbers represent a 2 or 4 ohm load with massive distortion when citing their numbers. loads the amps can’t really duplicate with 8 ohm speakers and distortion through the roof.
i’ve learned to keep old amps, and to upgrade the processing as tech changes. but the amps are timeless.
No need to elaborate! You are spot on. Once upon a time specs were real, not fake. Like today's world in general.
Very few amps were as underrated as the Proton and NAD. Some of the expensive ones were but most would choke on a 4 ohm load much less a 2 ohm load
What a monster!!
+Sam Bucci 👌
Precious amplifier..... Of course, superb sound. Dynamic!!!!!
Please dyno and review Behringer NX 3000!! Im hoping this is close to rated power!!
I was just handed two of these from a client that "upgraded" to sonos amps. :)
Oh wow 🤩
I want you to test on the dyno technical pro ax2000 amplifier
thanks so much for these videos of home audio amps! keep them coming!
Hi all, anyone have any info on the Proton AA2120? I recently came into one and I can't find much info out there on the interwebs, anyone have a service manual or any info at all I would appreciate a comment. Thanks much.
Huge Proton fan!!! I was 8 I wanted this amp and some K horns… damn idk it was that powerful!!!
Yeah man I remember drooling over it back then in the magazines
Watching some more old big d videos and had to check for the amp schematic and found it. Bi supply class H. Extremely hard to design and extremely efficient. This is insanity for the mid 80s lol 😂. The BJTs on the higher voltage rails likely hold their emitter voltage at the same voltage as the lower voltage rails until the audio signal exceeds a certain point and then they flood/surge them. This = the massive headroom.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I hate jacks that are just soldered to the board. Some connectors take the jack with it.
I remember the Proton well. It was well reviewed in its day.
Have you done an amp dyno on an american bass phantom 4000.1 states 2000x1 at 1 ohm 12v and 4000x1 at 1 ohm 14.4v was just curious because i have two. wonder what im actually getting big three ran 2/0wire four batteries
I haven't tested it, but Ryan has ua-cam.com/video/hlIFU2qu0ms/v-deo.html
NIce job. Try testing out a Yamaha mx 1000 from the same period. Digital bar meters were becoming popular then.
Might be a bit more expensive to pick one up though.
Those are nice for sure
Those are crazy numbers for the age of this monster and era it was born. If people new what this thing could really do back then, I think Proton could be the company to beat. I may have just missed it in the video but what was the retail on that thing back in the day?
He starts talking about it at about 1:40 . It was 549 the first year then went up later
EndstyleGG Thank you for that. That's really not bad considering the price per watt back then.
If you can get your hands on professional stage amps like power soft, cvr, admark, crown macrotech, qsc rmx, and test them on the dyno it would be a great video. :)
Thanks for the suggestion
Love the car and ho.e proton amps . I am looking for some proton D275 car amps
hey @bigdwiz I have an old school stetsom 2k6d. was wondering if you could do a amp dyno on it!
+Zack Felton I'm getting in another model Stetsom, stay tuned for future vid...
It would be awesome if you could get your hands on a Krell, Sunfire and Mark Levinson amps for testing. I would love to see what they are capable of!
+Geerladenlad that would be cool...only issue is I'd get complaints for not having power conditioners, pure silver speaker wire and $100/ft RCA's 😬
Some audiophiles love snake oil that's for sure.
Have just the amp to melt speakers and cables all at once. Tested at 5600W / channel burst output at 1Ohm. 750W stereo in class A makes a lot of heat, 20A@240v, 6KvA twin toroid psu, fully regulated rails. Krell FPB700CX, bit old now but still great, with outstanding bass and super clean treble.
Kinda looks like an onkyo amp. I think it was a m550 amp. Love the home stuff
have you ever tested a Kenwood Basic M2A ?? Just curious
No sir. Nice amp though
I have had a few amps from arround the same period. Many of them used INSTRUMENTATION fuses. These are even faster than "normal" fast fuses... If that were my amp, I would get an instrumentation fuse just in case...
+James Drissel it has been noted this amp used slow blow type, so I should be extra safe with the fast blow type
What sub/subs did you have hooked up to this monster?
+Zpwslayer left channel only was powering my Infinity Perfect 12VQ and it was SLAMMING!!
hello great to see the Proton....I will reactivate my 1200 too...can you help me?
Home audio is what started my passion for car audio but its 2 different worlds car audio is all about size of driver and power supply home audio never worrie about input power just plug her in but home audio rarely lies about ratings
I remember when circuit city had boom room and this was the badboy amplifier
I bought kenwood amp/ receiver with the DCM kx212
👌😬👍
What was the song at 2:23? The one at the end of the video is Eyer Lim - Movement, but I can't find another one.
They were both from the YT audio library. I'll update the video description with the songs used.
+Tomas Sabalas I just updated the Pinned comment with the 2 songs used. They are from the UA-cam Audio library. 2:24 is "Tune in" by RW Smith and 10:51 is "Hey Now" by MK2
Thank you, appreciated and subscribed :)
Well the Proton is a well built amp I A--B it against the Hafler xl600 which is 305 per channel at 8ohms she is a monster too but had to cut it short because the Proton's 22000uf caps showed signs of leaking but she still put out plenty of great sound but will have to replace those .
+Marvin Perryman oh man, that’s too bad! Get them replaced though, it’s a fantastic amp! Probably should’ve required a 20A circuit though
That’s some serious juice! Let it ride. I don’t see that amp struggling. That bulldog power supply is backing it up.
yea thats the ad something about current dumping i like that nad makes monsters amazing !
Hey BigD- sent you a couple of emails. Thanks for responding! Based on your Southern Accent, we probably live somewhere near each other. I'm going to guess you're in Oxford. Close?
Would love to get a hold of one....
