I really hope that they got the ship physics right. Like movement based on the actual propellers and rudders, not just instantly turning right when pressing right, especially in reverse it never felt right in the last games.
I've just noticed on Steam that the release date for Ships at Sea appears to have been pushed back to 23rd May. That's disappointing, but hopefully it means they can fix the storm issue that @SimUKReviews mentioned in a recent video.
I was playing Euro Truck Simulator this weekend, and was thinking that it would be great if MISC released new DLC map areas to expand the game. Like with ETS2 and ATS, I'd happily pay a reasonable amount for new, well-made map expansions.
At the launch of FNA they promised me these things would be addressed...Sadly they were not. This time round the Physics are better...AND they are using NVIDIA WaveGenerator, so it should be vastly improved...but will have to wait till release date to see for certain.
as a guy living above the arctic circle,, u do know that 6-7 month a year u only have maybe 1-2 hours of sun light a day. That said, looking forward to this game, got the other two games and all dlc.
Agree with docking. Went afk for a bit and came back to a message that my ship sunk at port. Bumped against the dock. Big one is physics/weather. Wishlist one for me is to have the ability for hired crew to man other boats you own and send them out. But i highly doubt this one.
I'm really looking forward to the new game, I hope it has a hardcore mode, where you don't always win money, the boats suffer expensive breakages, there is the possibility of a bad catch, the sonar that looks more realistic and not the fish it is . There must be the possibility of going into a bad streak and that means, for example, having to sell a boat or take out a loan. These things make the game infinite, but after a while it becomes boring.
You want weather physics then pick up : Fishing Barents seas, on sale atm. so hard to steer in a storm in the first ship. even the larger ships can struggle.
Hope it's like the old Ship Simulator games i loved playing that into they went to the sea rescue then it just got boring the good thing about Ship simulator games was they gave you lots of different ships from Jet Skee's to big container vessels hope the new game will be like that
To be honest, I don't think Ships at Sea will have a map big enough to make large container ships really enjoyable. Sure, you could do berthing activity, but there really wouldn't be the scope for significant voyages. Just my opinion.
In September there is a game called Ships Simulator 24 coming out. Ships at sea probably be more for me though I like my sea fishing but SS24 is more focused on the boats by looks of it
I believe Ships at Sea will have proper responsive physics. As for mooring, I really hope they do it properly. I was just playing Virtual Sailor NG this weekend, and came to the conclusion that smoothly mooring a vessel is one of my favourite and most satisfying aspects. If you don't have mooring, then it's a bit like having a flight sim that doesn't have landings.
Yes. I bought F: NA quite late on in its life, so I missed some of the earlier bugs, but, as I touched upon in this video, it felt a bit like a missed opportunity.

Yes. From the trailers I've seen, it looks like they've worked on it, but until we get hands-on, we just won't know.
Looking forward to Ships at Sea, surprised not much coverage of this upcoming title.

I hope of long support for all games from "MISC" company. Not only new games fixes.

Thanks for the info. I appreciate your update videos.

Yes, I'm aware of the short days up there, that's why I'd like to enjoy what little amount of daylight there is in real time.

Good idea about having crew take out another boat. It seems a shame to have boats just sat there doing nothing.

Yes, I agree. I'd like more reality options in the settings, and a hardcore mode sounds good.

Exactly. That's why you have to check the weather and consider the risk/reward ratio of setting sail in a storm.

Great video. Would be nice if they add mooring and implement an option for "swaying" (disabling mario kart style). 😁

I would like cranes at the fish farms. Takes entirely too long to load 3000 pounds of feed at 50 lbs per bag.
Agreed. Humping those bags of feed is a chore, but the cash pay off is very good.
I wonder how long before one of the sims comes with AI voice recognition.
So you can ‘con’ the vessel by voice command. i.e. ahead half, steer 350.
Good idea. That would be pretty cool.
I have the other two games, and the gameplay was crippled by design decisions, poor optimizations, and bugs.
