This guy makes every guitar sound like it’s worth a million bucks.

The song for the uninitiated is by the Yardbirds and it's called Heart Full Of Soul....

My guitar playing grew up on the Yardbirds. The first time I heard Jeff beck's tone and riff on Heart Full Of Soul I, literally, almost drove off the road!

Same thing happened to me when I heard 'Beck's Bolero', but I just fell off my bike.

The pickups do sound good. MojoTone is making some real nice stuff. I have a set of their "PAF" style humbuckers in an SG. Fab!

Both sets sound great. I'm firmly in the Broadcaster camp, though it would be nice to have a guitar with each set.

PGS + followers, any recommendations for a pedal that does Cream-era Clapton well? Looking for something with a lot of sustain, warmth and bottom end.

Not sure but maybe a Keely Psi?
Also try turning the tone knob back on your guitar!

Jasper Yangchareon basic audio scarab deluxe does it for me! Bias and fat knobs give you a TON of versatility.

They sound a bit thin. Sort of like the sound you'd expect but not quite there. Presumably they're a bladed humbucker with dummy poles like the P90 quiet coils. Not sure what I think about the poles being cosmetic fakes - well, actually I am - I think Mojotone should just show the pickups for what they are. What's wrong with being upfront about the fact that they're bladed humbuckers and just marketing them as that? I like vintage stuff as much as the next guy but fake is just fake. If they sounded just that bit more authentic, the P90's too - rather than sort of/kinda, that would make them somewhat more attractive. No cigar, I'm afraid. Perhaps more development into getting the sound right, or maybe, like everyone else's noiseless single coils, humbuckers or stacked or whatever, they'll never really be spot on.

Johnny Cab I think it's because Andy doesn't play with a pick. Jeff senn did a demo where they sound a lot better.
