I really enjoyed your discussion of the decision to not cap the super pocket. It forces anyone capped behind you to destroy you. Since there is a lot of luck in the early game, it’s a very risky move.

@@TheJScarrrno. Yellow needed that set on 3, which he got. Kill Red was def not 100% winning move but by far the best play.
I figure red is new to the game but a damn intelligent person. Overall really well played by him for being beginner, and ofc made some crucial mistakes like opening petes cap.
This was a very interesting game!
The problem with the Nalut cap is it’s easy to cardblock.
I don't think red was card blocking I think he was guarding like it was the table top version of the game.
Great game, yellow was a conductor at the end of that!
Came down to how lucky Pete's rolls were. Yellow saw that was his play and got the favorable (for him) rolls. Pete lost a lot of troops on some of those rolls, with a little more juice in the tank he might've survived.

35 minutes in, yeah red has the opportunity to cap the territory right above it, especially after seeing you NOT cap in the alternative cap choice you didn't make this game. You ever wonder if you could do a rematch system and see if players would make the same choices for cap-choices.

that was a great game.
Despite being unlucky in the end with the rolls and the cards, you killing red at the end was one of the best plays I have seen from you Pete, and I have seen quite a few. A true MASTER play!
Or is it GRANDMASTER play, but you know what I mean. That kill felt better than winning the game in my eyes!

From time to time on these settings I misread the board and get things very wrong.

Sometimes I struggle with the titles since I don't want to make something too generic but also I don't want to completely give away the show

Pete thanks for the awesome video as always. I appreciate you pointing out red possibly having a sunken cost policy. I've been using some of the logic and strategy that you've been using while you play this for some of the board games I've been playing with friends. I can say I just won a few more games and had a lot more fun. So much appreciated!
