I have watched and rewatched this show almost 100 times from start to finish. It is my favorite show in the world and I love watching people who are reacting to their first time watching it. This channel is by far one of my absolute favorites and you are only a couple of episodes in. I can’t wait for your new episodes to drop. Keep it up. I haven't watched anything past season 4 more than once myself, so it's gonna be wiiiild re-living the second half, I barely remember it, lol. That podcast sounds dope, by the way! I have to give you guys a big kudos. I watch A LOT of reactors. i don't know why it scratches the itch it does but it does. You 2 are the ONLY ones I have ever seen pause their show or movie because their reaction/conversation about said show or movie will make them miss things.
I am totally new to your channel but that alone I think deserves a subscribe from me. There are so many times a reactor misses a key detail because they are talking about the previous thing. Now I get it it's a react channel and you have to talk otherwise most has to be edited out but I have never understood why others don't do what you did in this video. Maybe it adds an extra headache to the after edit? But it is appreciated. Please keep doing that.

Honestly, this is how I've ALWAYS been when it comes to watching shows or movies with someone. it just seems like common sense to pause the video if we're going to talk for longer than a second or two. What's the point of even watching if we're gonna talk over 25% of the content? Even when we DO risk talking over the show, sometimes I end up hopping back 10-15 seconds if it seems like one of us missed something. I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this! We'll definitely continue pausing/rewinding whenever we need to. I can tell you straight up that it's no extra effort on my end from an editing standpoint. @@NeighBROSreact You guys are brand new so I can get in early lol. PLEASE don't do exclusive things on patreon when you get that up and running. I Have always loved the idea of getting bonus stuff like in depth discussions OR BTS stuff. And of course the standard get the full unedited reaction.
What i think is KIND of not cool is locking an entire movie series or tv show behind patreon. Especially since those are usually JUST the full reactions to sync with.
Now I don't know what you have and havent seen but as an example. I don't have time to rewatch full episodes of say Chernobyl. So if you put Chernobyl as a patreon exclusive but it's just the full episodes I can't watch that.
I WANT to support my favorite creators because I choose to not because they put something behind a paywall. JUST my early unasked for opinion.
I wish you the best of luck. Reactors can carve out a decent little section of YT. You won't become rich....but you might be able to make just enough money to not have to deal with a real job anymore. I wish that for you guys. This is the EXACT sort of stuff that we're both pretty clueless on, and truly, any help, advice, or suggestions go a LONG way toward helping nudge us in the right direction. One thing I can promise you is that there will be an EDIT for any piece of content we react to. At some point I think I'd like to put full reactions up on Patreon, but even then they may still be slightly edited! It's tough to say right now. I'm not sure how we'd go about it, but I'd actually love to pick your brain more about these ideas some time, since you seem to have so much experience engaging with reaction channels! It almost makes me feel guilty that it'll be another week before a new upload, lol. Also, who the heck is your favorite character? Looks like I caught you guys early! Good luck on your venture! Just an idea: if one of you DOES move, you could call this "No-Bros"? I think he's a long way from coming into his own, but, if I had to see a spinoff show about any of the characters, it would hands down be Creed. I NEED to enter his world. As for these eps, yeah, the 6 eps that make up Season 1 are the UK scripts adapted. For me, much like Parks and Rec later, The Office US doesn't really come into its own until Season 2.

I like Angela and Fillis the most. I'm close to their age and they are the most reliable for me, as a mom and pet owner and married woman. 20 years ago I liked Pam the most. Still do.
All these gals are wonderful for their own reasons. It's especially great when they come together as the party planning committee, lol. One reason the show is so great is because every character is relatable with their own special brand of humor and unique perspective.

You're surrounded by fame and celebrity, then you can take your interests (comedy, writing, acting, etc.) and use your family's connections to get any gigs you want. Being the head writer for one of the biggest sitcoms of all time at 25 isn't natural. You have your own amazing, happy life to live and be grateful for. ♥

Yeap season 1 of the US version is pretty much a carbon copy of the UK version that does tip toe on very sensitive subjects that at the time were already very crucial. Also i dont think talking about a race or sex in context is never offensive, unless you try to use it as a way to attack someone. I feel like when u have bad intentions and hang on to it too long, like, unfortunately, the creator of this show did after a long time and still refuses to leave it alone, you end up complaining about it and making it your entire personality.

The first season is definitely its own special flavor. Still way more enjoyable than the tail-end seasons! At least from what I can remember. It's been so long since I've seen anything past season 4, I'm looking forward to re-visiting with Joe on his first watch through.

It's just really easy for a white guy to say "we have to be able to joke and make light of race" because you guys have never had to experience race-based discrimination. Like when you go through life being denigrated and laughed AT by people making "jokes" and when those "jokes" start to create narratives about your existence that don't comport with reality, they stop being less fun. It's never more than a joke to you but to some people, those jokes are actually harmful. I think we go overboard about race sensitivity a lot. But you guys--the guy on the left in particular--are just being obtuse and ignorant.

There is a way you can joke and discuss diversity without acting like Michael was pushing. It definitely is important to talk about, and except for maybe the chronically online, most people don't get angry when it is brought up. A lot of the humor of the past, my childhood, had a ton of humor that was at someone's expense though, and made no attempt to understand different cultures or identities. It was generally just "this is different, let's laugh at it."
I see this episode and Michael as more satirical than pro this type of humor so while some jokes don't hold up as well today, i still enjoy this ep. I will say though that i almost didn't make it through the 1st season on my first watch. I have never been a fan of shows where the main premise is the main characters are just not good people. I enjoyed bits of Seinfeld, but hated a lot of it. I couldn't get into King of Queens for the same reason. Michael really irritated me through season 1. Then i feel like they figured the character balance a bit better and also figured out how to use the ensemble cast to its full potential. I absolutely loved it after that.
Jim is my favorite character, and Dwight. I also loved Darryl, who you will meet later. Everyone has their charms though, even Michael. It is a fantastic cast.
It's definitely a satirical type of humor in this episode, which is greatly appreciated. I love what you said about struggling to root for characters who aren't "good" or redeemable in some way. As funny as Michael Scott is in the first season, it would be hard to follow that character for an entire series with no counter-balance or relatable aspects. The character really comes into his own as the show progresses. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts. ♥
We need more of that kind of humor. The humor from the past was actually funny. Wokes have destroyed humor in the same way they destroyed everything else. They and their ideology is a detriment to society
Also, diversity is overrated. We need less diversity and more homogeneity. We need less inclusion and more exclusion. And we need less representation of minorities, be it racial or sexual, and more representation of the majority.
