ALFA-LOK™ Fastener by VELCRO® Brand
Available with 3 adhesive options ALFA-LOK™ is a self engaging fastener that is non directional, so can be closed at almost any direction without the need for precise alignment or positioning, this is down to the the mushroom shape of the closure. ALFA-LOK™ has no corresponding side, it is a single strip closure that offers a more rigid connection with less movement whilst maintaining the ability to remove, re-position and fasten whenever required.
ALFA-LOK™ fasteners have been developed by Velcro companies and use AFTC Brand SilverTape®, a high performance double sided acrylic foam adhesive tape that is pre-applied to the back, the adhesives and fastener have been developed for use in a wide range of applications from solar panels, signage and exhibition stands to fixing the interior components in trains, cars, boats or buses. The design allows for a rigid connection with no slip that also allows for removal, this is ideal for panels that require maintenance access but is also perfectly suited to any panel installation;
Because the fastener in non-directional you can align your panel perfectly and be assured that once snapped into place it will stay with no drop or sag over time, something that can happen with alternative closures.
The 3 adhesives are
General Purpose 5345
Transparent 5310
& Low Surface Energy 6411
Starting with the general purpose 5345, this adhesive is suitable for high and medium surface energy materials including a range of plastics, glass and metals, the adhesive is a medium to low tack and is white in colour, the adhesive is a modified solvent based acrylic polymer.
The 5310 is a transparent adhesive with a medium to low tack, this adhesive is for use with high energy materials such as glass, aluminium, steel and treated plastics.
The 6411 is a black adhesive and has the widest application range, it performs well in high, medium and low energy materials from glass and plastics to ceramics and powder coatings, this is the most popular as it can handle almost any surface.

Hello, I'm in exhibitions preparation. Would you recommend any one of these in particular for hanging some flat silicone sheets about 1/8 inch in thickness (similar to a tapestry in size? about 3 ft by 4 ft) . I was thinking of making a wood strip with the one side of alfa-lok attached to it that could be screwed to the wall, then attaching the other directly to the silicone sheet. Thank you.
