Great job! 🙂👍 The audio was a bit wonky at times but the more videos you do, you'll realize that the most crucial part. You've only done a few videos but let me say, you're off to a fantastic start in my opinion. You have a good presence behind the camera, do a great job filming and don't say "um" a million times like most just learning to talk to an audience. Keep up what you're doing and you'll be at 1k subs before you know it 🔧🔩 Stay safe, have fun and happy wrenching

I noticed that while putting video together, only got worse once UA-cam processed it. Any tips for a camera/microphone set up?

@@matthewbarnes7075 I just use a GoPro. Wind noise is your worst enemy when you're a creator. I'm not 100% sure on the settings but thats something to look into. If the editor you use has an "equalize" setting that can help get the audio on the same level 🙂👍

I grew up around these in my teens and twenty's cylinder he's playing with activates the vacuum booster and the brake master cylinder is bolted to the booster. Flushing the whole system is best ,but that's a qt--to half gal ,secondly know where the filler plug is on the master cylinder that's bolted to the booster access sometimes is through the floorboard under the mat..

Great video but the audio could be better, love to see young people working on old iron. I have a 1968 C-50 and your correct, the old vac-brake system is sketchy at best on a good day, everything has to be sealed and not even the tiniest of vacuum leaks.

I was always taught to start with the farthest wheel from the master cylinder when bleeding the wheels.

You really should view your video after you make it, then you would know that you cant be heard in parts of it.

Mistakes, mistakes yeah a few but if the shoe fits wear it! The audio is not necessary if you know what you're doing. If you're not familiar with this type of DIY don't attempt it. He could of collected the spurts of brake fluid but he didn't and yeah it's better to start at the farthest brake away from the master cylinder because the farthest away trapped air may not be all removed.😮 The video was good enough for me and now I have brakes that work fairly good. 👍

On a farm if you aren't planting or harvesting, you're fixing, servicing, or upgrading. Not much down time if any in that endeavor. Just like the years I spent in trucking, if you ain't hauling, you're doing the latter.

I love this truck! I have a 67 C60, 366-5 spd/2spd rear. Its 27,500 gvw. I have 9.00-20 tires and the fronts sit deeper under the fender flares than yours. What size tire is on yours? If you have a chance to look

There’s a reason they’re cheap 🤷‍♂️. 350s also don’t always like being in a heavy truck like these are

Drum brakes when in good condition and properly adjusted were fine, Disk brakes may be cheaoer to make and they are much more heat resistant. W/o highway use, this truck will not overheat brakes
.Some pre disk brake cars like Mopars used 2 front wheel cylinders on each axle. This gave them two leading shoes and they were more "self energized" They had poor brakiing when backing.

@@matthewbarnes7075 I think I saw that one on eBay for just over a hundred bucks with shipping. I think Amazon has some hydovac boosters 51-8001 if needed. As many of these trucks still in use brake parts should not be such a problem as it is.

I have a 71 C60 I used for hauling my vintage equipment. I last used it in 2018 when a rear wheel cylinder started to leak. The 366 got replaced with a Buick 350 the last few years I used it which is another story in itself. The Buick made a great engine for pulling, I don’t know about published specs but in real life it would hands down out pull the 366 at low rpm, I guess related to smaller bore and longer stroke than the 366. I have since replaced it with a 65, Cummins powered White with air brakes 😊. If everything is working properly the brakes actually can be quite good but that is a big if. I think exhaust leaking noise is built into big block c60s of that era, they all seem to do it. Long story short if there is anything you need and can’t find I may be able to help you out. I’ve subscribed and will watch for more.

@garyhoward3123 , if you haven't yet found a master cylinder, you might check with Rock Auto. I found one for my 62 C60 there for about $60. O'Reilly should have it also, but it will be a bit more expensive there.

Thank you for the video! I have a 67 C60-no brakes. I replaced the master cylinder but snapped a couple bleeder screws despite soaking for several days with pb. I'm in the northeast and waiting for warmer weather to get back on it, need to replace some wheel cylinders.
