That's the charm of these historic homes! Their unique, irregular shapes and layouts give them so much character and a sense of story. Those little quirks make them feel truly special and full of personality. 😊
I believe Carunccio was named one of the 10 prettiest villages in Italy. There is a fabulous cooking school and spa at the top of the village (Abruzzo Cibus). My husband and I first went in 2016 and again in 2023. Excellent.
Yes, you're right! Carunchio has indeed been recognized as one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, known for its charm and picturesque scenery. The Abruzzo Cibus cooking school and spa is a highlight of the area, offering an authentic culinary and cultural experience. It’s great to hear that you and your husband had the chance to visit and enjoy it, not just once but twice! That really shows how special it is. Thank you for sharing your lovely experience!
Absolutely! Great floors can make a huge difference in the overall feel of a property, adding character and warmth. It's always a bonus when they are well-maintained or unique to the home's design.
Wow, great price for a very large property. Does need some updating in the kitchen n baths, but the price is very reasonable. Great deal on this one. Ver, very nice.
Wow! What a price and its furnished. That's amazing. All it needs is a bit of renovation and paint. What a bargain! Nice furniture also. Another great video. Hey Romina why didn't you finish singing the song while you were sitting on that nice bench? lol
Haha, thank you for the kind words! 😄 You're right, it's a real bargain with all that furniture included-just a little touch of renovation to make it shine! As for the song... well, maybe I got a little camera-shy! 😂 I'll be sure to keep the music flowing next time! Thanks for watching and for your support, you're awesome! 🎶✨
Wow, that one was pretty nice. Needs work but mostly cosmetic. Great size and looked like a great location. Is there any parking adjacent to the building?
This one has lots of nooks and crannies that you could make into anything...sewing room, home theater, gaming room, home office...lots of options. I did wonder how far it is to parking, though, as it didn't look like you could get a car right up to the house
You're absolutely right-this property has so much potential for customization, with plenty of cozy corners perfect for hobbies or specialized rooms like a sewing area, home theater, or office. It's like a blank canvas for someone with a creative vision! As for parking, you're correct that many of these older village homes don't have direct access for cars up to the front door. Typically, parking is a short walk away, often just a few steps down a narrow street.
Thank you so much, David! 😊 Yes, there is parking nearby for the property. You can park just a short walk from the house. It’s very convenient! And thank you for the kind words about my voice! I’m glad you enjoyed it! 🎶
Yes, in the *centro storico* (historic center) of Carunchio, there are typically essential services that residents can reach by walking. This often includes small grocery stores, cafes, local shops, a post office, and sometimes a pharmacy or bakery. The village is designed for pedestrian accessibility, so it’s quite convenient to reach most basic services without needing a car. For more extensive amenities, a short drive to nearby larger towns might be necessary.
Carunchio, like many small villages in Abruzzo, has limited public transportation options. While there is no direct bus service that frequently connects Carunchio to major cities or tourist destinations, it is possible to travel outside of Carunchio with some planning. - **Local Bus Service**: There are occasional buses that can take you to larger nearby towns, but they tend to be infrequent. These buses are typically more accessible to neighboring towns like Vasto or Termoli. - **Train Stations**: If you need to travel to larger cities, the nearest train stations are in **Vasto** and **Fossacesia**, both around 20-30 minutes by car. From there, you can access more extensive train networks to explore Italy. - **Taxi/Private Transfers**: Taxis are available but might be more expensive, and availability can be limited in rural areas. Some homeowners also use private transfer services, which can be booked in advance. In short, while it’s possible to live in Carunchio without a car, it would require some effort and planning. A car would make it much easier to explore the region, especially for things like grocery shopping or visiting larger cities. However, the slower pace of rural life might make the lack of convenience feel like a small price to pay for the peaceful surroundings.
You hit gold with this one ladies!
You and Mila are our sunshine!
I’ll second that!

I like this one! It has a nice property, especially for the price. I like the blue room - I would paint it blue again with lime-based paint.
