    Slightly unrelated, but I do likw how in a lot of you videos you highlight how impressive Trae Young is to watch. His game on Saturday against the bucks is proof of just how easy he makes the game look and how easy he makes the game in general, both for himself and his teammates. Particularly when his floater is online he looks unstoppable on offense, I highly recommend y'all tune into some Hawks games at some point this year, you won't regret it.

    Glad you brought up jalen green as a rockets fan
    You're right about the shot selection, the problem is that jalen appears to be very good at one specific kind of three (catch and shoot) and not very good at really any of the other kinds of threes you can do (even though he really likes doing them and thinks they're really fun to do like stepback threes, pull up threes, threes off a screen, contested threes, etc). His finishing at the rim is okay, he's better than FVV and not as good as Amen Thompson in that regard. He also has supreme confidence in his midrange jumper which pretty much never works but my heart goes out to him for trying all the same
    His main problem is that the basket seems to have some kind of homerian siren song coming out of it when he has the ball in his hands. He simply must shoot it. On top of that he tends to go at one speed which is really super fast and if the opposing defense can make him slow down and not go as fast as he wants he gets kind of confused and ends up taking a bad shot then likely missing.

    • @whatshorts
      @whatshorts  12 годин тому

    I kind of hard disagree with james harden shooting too much. Yes, he’s shooting poorly, but he’s also the only creator. If he doesn’t shoot, his passing is less effective. It’s important that the defense takes him seriously, and no one else is going to take those shots anyways(until kawhi gets back).

    Like I told you in the comments of a different video a couple weeks ago I'm also 100% on board for watching the Sixers completely implode. I have been watching Sixers channels just to see them raging about the insane situation going on with the Sixers. I think Joel embiid is still going to be out because of his sinus fracture. That is his third face injury in the last couple I never liked soap operas or even dramas that much but I'm totally digging the Sixers Chronicles. The only downside to loving this situation is the fact that I think that Tyrese Maxey is probably a pretty good guy. I do not like either Joel Embiid or Paul George so this has been a blast.

    My man red velvet is struggling with his jumper this season but at least he's been putting in more effort on the defensive side. Unfortunately the only thing that is protecting him from being traded is his own broken shot :^(
    As for keegan, my hot take is that the team's decision to have him bulk up to make up for Sabonis' defensive weaknesses was a good one despite the shooting woes it's caused. We can only hope that his 3 comes back 🙏
    Glad you got to watch that jazz-kings game though, it was far and away the most exciting of the season so far. I can't even imagine how loud the G1C was when dougie was getting those mcbuckets in the 4th.

    My two least favorite players in all basketball back to back. James harden at number two and Trae young at number one. From your comments I get that you seem to like both of these guys. I don't really like ISO players so much but there are some that I like because I think they play a winning style. Both Luka and Kyrie are ISO kind of players but they've managed to figure out how to do it in a team system. Trae young and James harden are both chuckers and guys that sometimes really slow down the development of a well-rounded offense. It seems like now they've both decided that getting as many assists as they can is the way for them to shine. I know that they both had their limited quality playoff moments but not very many winning moments between the two of them. Luka and Kyrie have both been to the finals and can take that ISO system or iso type of play and make it work in winning basketball.
