That's Smokey Mountain South again, it's almost the final layout too, just missing scenery and different colored dirt haha The final filename for it was just shortened to nn_dirt_2 :p There are a few more tracks that i find interesting in the demos that you haven't shown, but no worries, they'll get shown someday i'm sure :)
I'm pretty sure, that Laguna 2 is another 2000 version of the track, here are some clues: - Laguna Seca is one of the first three tracks, that appeared in numerous GT2000 demo's and videos, with others being Special Stage Route 5 and Seattle Circuit. - Laguna 2 has the same issue with asphalt textures, that Seattle 2000 and SSR 2000, and I think, it is an issue with PBR lighting or sort of it implementation, which GT2 engine wasn't really familiar with. - Just like other 2000's version, it lacks some of tracks scenery, which could be some kind of optimization thing, so GT2 could work okay, if not properly with these version. I think I recall Roflwaffle explain the Monte Carlo chicane change being based on the layout of 1972 where the chicane was moved further down from its usual position
Yeah, it was a one-year-only layout implemented while the area around the swimming pool was being rebuilt and expanded. Pit lane was on the quayside between the normal chicane location and the new one.
I KNEW I SAW SOMEONE MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT MONACO PLANNING ON BEING IN GT2 It was driving me crazy, because I saw it in a very old video somewhere and I've been looking for it again for years.
The cut Reverse tracks were likely meant for Event Synthesizer and One Make Races. Both of them use variants of tracks we almost never see in the base events (or ONLY in those modes like Rome Night)
There's the infamous Plam Strip, which is actually a misspelling of an early name for Apricot Hill, Plum Strip. Plum Strip is mentioned in the PAL version in the description of a specific license test set in Apricot Hill, but it's only mentioned in select languages and not in English. There's also Apricot Hill being missing from the Event Synthesizer. While the reversed variant can appear in the event, the regular version doesn't due to a fault in the event's internal Track List, which misspells the internal name of Apricot Hill. Because the names don't match, the game proceeds to perform a failsafe by loading the first track in the game's internal track list, which is the 2P version of Autumn Ring.
Seems interesting. Some could of been a part of the original events along with the drag option to properly 100% the game. And it was interesting to see the license tracks to have full versions since it does remind some players the struggles of getting gold prizes for a free car in each class.
Indi would have been an amazing race course to add even adding a city course based off Indi time and scenery and it would beat SSR5 by a long shot as a favorite

(Laguna 2) Is that GT2 logos on the background (at 31:08 and 31:26) in the approved laguna seca version? I dont remember them. Maybe they dont liked that background choice
I remember that when you had the channel subscription, there was a perk of having the beta demos and some cheat codes for it i think, but since that is gone, where you do you stock the stuff you did as a perk for this channel?
If Seattle does come back, it's not gonna be the same. The chicane in between the two stadiums is not going to exist due to more businesses in that parking lot area and the final corners don't exist due to the Alaskan way Viaduct(the bridge over last and 2nd corners) not existing anymore
@@MattJ155 The main issue is severe lack of bass. The mic sounds like pure treble if that makes sense, which can be grating to the ears of someone who is wearing headphones after awhile

Dirt Test 2 kind of feels like it was trying to go for a rural Washington/Oregon vibe for their respective rally events IRL
And License Twst 2 looks like they forgot to scale it up with the other tracks
