We went to Daku Island near Siargao to support the local farming project and the more we learn about it, the more we like it! So much, that we could imagine THIS being our life one day! Would it suit us? 🥰Big thank you to the locals sharing their way of life with us 🙏🏼🇵🇭
Wow daku that's my mother home town in siargao, my parents supposed to have a vacation back to siargao on last march 20 however due to lockdown it always reschedule. Nice place.

Nah Mike I can relate to lost footage and I'm not a content creator. I'm in graphic design and actually thinking of entering the youtube game as a story time animator. Recently my work HDD died on me. While most of my work is backed up, I lost 3 days of work. That made me cry after I screamed; NOOoooo!!!! Love the Vlog. You guys are a great cute couple. Stay safe, and thanks for this little taste of home.
You guys look so at home with the locals there. This seemed like a normal day from the past huhuhu. Such a simple gathering but we can't do that in the city.
You are definitely adjusting to the province life! So nice Mike & Nelly! Love ur adventures and positivity even though it's challenging times. At least you have each other, that's what's so important. Love you!
Oh! It's a nice wonderful day in Daku Island: loved the video and and the people here practicing sustainable farming, really nice! God bless and stay safe always!
These people are so lucky to have meet you. And ohhhh gosh that place Siargao is a real paradise...such a beautiful place..life is simple, chill, and everything is back to basics... You are truly blessed to be quarantined on that lovely island..take care Mike and Nelly..love you guys!! 💜💜💜
Sucha refreshing vlog. This is where and what we should all be doing during and after the pandemic: back to basics and an effort for sustainability. We don’t really need much and working together does address all our needs. Thanks for featuring this, more like these please! 🙏🏼
Everytime I watched your videos I do not skip ads, because it is my simplest way to give thanks for helping the community likewise to my co-filipinos. both of you are the same with "Sir Basel a famous blogger also who had done a lot of help to PH. Thank you for chosing PH to stay and live while on quarantine. In my opinion through your videos you help also showcasing and promoting the beauty and the tourism of Philippines. God Bless the both of you . Together we can end this pandemic. We Heal As One.
Cheers to Martin and Nellie for helping to promote farming , initiative of the locals.. This is very informative that other than the beaches here , there are worthwhile projects that you can also participate to help the community and the Philippines . 🙌🙌🙌🙌💕👍
Salute to Mike and Nelly for a wonderful visit to Daku island with a promising social improvement farming project for the locals. Truly guys, you indeed are making quite a difference in your lives and Filipino simple folks. Farm tourism is now the in thing after this Covid 2019 Pandemic coz it's practicable, sustainable and income producin; and looks like this is promising to alleviate farming communities in the Philippines. My salute beautiful bloggers for making this happen and so with others socially participating especially the organizers, this is such a one meaningful moment of experience in one pretty islands of the Philippines. Thanks for being involved!
Reminds me so much of my childhood days at my grandparents' farm in Guimaras back in the pre-social media, pre-internet days in the late 60s onward.....no running water, no electricity, dirt roads, outhouse as toilets, cold showers in the well underneath coconut trees, laundry in a nearby river.....
This video is one of your most appreciative trip- you made those people in that simple village happy- you described yourselves as a very flexible, approachable, simple yet, so adorable couple to get along with. The nature around is so... cool. Subscribers will love you more. Congrats. Mike & Nelly.🍅🍍🥗
I have been watching your making it happen videos since the world went into lockdown. I moved back to the state’s from Davao a year ago and left behind a wife and my two year old son. My plan was to return this may for the big three birthday of my son but that is impossible at the moment. Watching your videos how ever and being reminded of the beauty of the Philippines had kept my hopes high. The reason I’m writing this is to let you know your videos do a lot more good Than you may realize. Thank you Mike and Nelly for your vlog and I’m totally taking a vacation in Siargao after this is over! In like five years:)
when you may have the chance to go back there to Daku Island, you might be surprised how they may have progressed with lotsa crops, more trees, more farmers joining in, and how they're sustaining on their own...they won't just be selling their produce within their barangay or nearby towns/barangays in Siargao but will be reaching out to neighboring provinces/ cities and someday all the way up here to mainland Luzon and Manila.our farmers are very hard-working
Living a day or two of the rural life will definitely make a different impact than just seeing it. You will be more appreciative of it if you experience their way of life firsthand. I'm so happy for you knowing that you have this kind of a worthwhile experience. The scenic views make the place a paradise but the people you interact to will make it a home.
