Good call on the Tehnolog figures - they look great! They have a bunch of great fantasy stuff in various (almost random) scales that ought to be all sorts of fun for gamers, especially those who like that retro '80s style fantasy look. The price is hard to beat, too! Some other great, fairly affordable alternatives are Reaper "Bones" miniatures (a soft plastic that is really nice to work with, only a couple dollars more expensive than the Tehnolog guys, and pretty easy to find.) The sculpting style is rather "modern", but things like the ogres, yetis, werewolves, gargoyles, dragons, dire wolves, werewolves, giant rats, furniture/"Dungeon Dressing", and so on are quite nice. For those with a little more money to spend, Games Workshop does produce hard plastic modern Warhammer fantasy wargaming miniatures in an updated version of the HeroQuest style (HeroQuest and Warhammer used to use the same miniatures, in a shared universe, with newer Warhammer minis being refined over the years into a somewhat more modern look with similar proportions.) These are a bit pricier than they have any right to be, but are a great source of bulk fantasy standbys like ogres, orcs, goblins, dwarves, elves, human warriors of various sorts, skeletons, zombies, and so on. (The modern Warhammer Ogres are very similar to the old HeroQuest equivalents, but look really mean!) These Warhammer minis are likely the best source around for replacement Chaos Warriors and Skaven, but, sadly, Fimir have dropped off their production catalog a long, long time ago.... Other wargaming miniature manufacturers are taking advantage of Games Workshop's high prices by producing some fantastic "generic" (and more unusual)hard plastic fantasy wargaming minis. NorthStar Oathmark produces some fine dwarves, elves, human warriors, and "goblin" men (these "goblins" are just about human-sized in the scale: taller than HeroQuest goblins, but more human in proportion than Warhammer orcs). Northstar Frostgrave figures are a great source of human heroes (they make multipart human wizards, soldiers, and knights, both male and female, who can be assembled in different ways to create a fantastic variety of heroic characters), as well as mooks and monsters (their "Tribals" are great, pulpy jungle or islander warrior types, and their "Crewmen" are great for pulp-style pirates, desert warriors, and the like, while their Lizard men and Gnolls would make fine alternatives to the hard-to-find Fimir, and their demon warriors would make fine replacement Chaos Warriors.) Wargames Atlantic is one of the most interesting to look out for: one of the newest competitors to the hard-plastic muti-part fantasy miniature market, Wargames Atlantic is already breaking ground nobody else has touched, making them a great source of hard-to-find fantasy stuff like halflings, gun-toting lizard men (again, a fine alternative to the hard-to-find Fimir), and giant spiders, and they are currently previewing some really great ogres for release in the near future, too. All of these minis would work great with HeroQuest, being made from much the same material, in more or less the same scale, in roughly similar style. I can't wait to see what else these companies produce for the wargaming market! For furniture, check out Mantic, Wizkids, and Reaper "Bones" for some great plastic furniture/dungeon-dressing: these manufacturers make nice replacements for most of the old HeroQuest furniture bits (tables, thrones, racks, treasure chests, alchemy labs, desks, sarcophaguses, fireplaces, and the like), as well as a bunch of other stuff that HeroQuest gamers are sure to find uses for (debris, columns, staircases, barrels, crates, traps....) And, if you're really on a budget, a company called "SCS Direct" sells tubes of soft-plastic fantasy monsters intended as toy soldiers, which can be easily converted into low-resolution HeroQuest figures. These might range from just about useless for HeroQuest due to scaling problems (the human wizard and warrior figures, and elves, dwarves, and fairies, for example), to intriguing and possibly just about perfect (the dragons, griffons, ogres, cyclopes, trolls, giant spiders, gargoyles....) Not quite as cool or detailed as Tehnolog, but there's a great variety, and the price is maybe even lower than Tehnolog's!
I am not affiliated in any shape or form to Tehnolog, I PROMISE! But, if you want to get their stuff, you can either check their website at souldark.ru OR here you have some affiliate links from Amazon. These are a little pricier, but you do help Rush the Wash with a little commission! :) The Ogres: amzn.to/3mC27vz Giant Skeletons: amzn.to/3mE9L8O Ice Giants: amzn.to/3CPQ2IA Werewolves: amzn.to/3mCfM5F There are many more out there. Notice Tehnolog ALSO sells 28-30 mm scale stuff. Check their website out. Great chaff for big armies and roleplaying games!
I'm obsessed with Battlemasters as it was my first step into the hobby, my friend had Heroquest and I had Battlemasters we would go back an forth from his house to mine but unfortunately I let stupid teen peer pressure get the better of me and didn't want to be seen as a nerd so left the hobby ot long after, but now I'm 40 and I've taken a massive dive back in, to all things Battlemasters, heroquest and warhammer fantasy, that nostalgia hit is real! Great vid subbed👏👍👍
HABIA VISTO LOS WOLFENS DE ESTA MARCA, PERO ESTOS OGROS NO. AL NO TENER UN ESQUEMA DE ROPA IGUAL, SON PERFECTOS COMO OGROS EN UN DUNGEON Y LA PINTURA TE HA QUEDADO GENIAL 😉👍
Hey Miguel! Hope you are doing greate! I am hanging up with my painting. I think we have some Mages left, to complete at least all Expansions for Europe ;) Time for a new Video? :D
While looking for cheap miniatures I often was tempted by these . Unfortunately the pandemic completely ruined the already awful postal service in my country. Sometimes I see them at Amazon but way overpriced. Great video as always.

This is such good info, you, Sir, got yourself pinned.
I've always loved the Battlemasters Ogre too, so much that I added one to my Heroquest evil guys
And you have done a great thing indeed. The mini is awesome!

I was just telling a friend that I never do rust or battle damage. Thanks for the rust recipe, I’ll have to give it a try 👍
Much appreciated. It is stupidly easy, so be careful not to get hooked on it! For scenery it is a great asset!
Excellent. 👍
