hi ! Dr. Hansen that was an amazing and informative video i have to search some of your lectures about our lungs. please give some more info about this dangerous virus.. God bless you , thanks.
June 18th 2020 I woke up with running nose and got better next day, and next day lost smell and taste. Coffee taste and smell like sandy sour. Now 23rd June and getting better. Test came positive yesterday as I already know due to loss of smell and taste. I am 35 year old male and healthy, no smoking or drinking alcohol. Prayers for all and may God bless us all. Stay positive and healthy.
I’m 62 y/o female post op for THR. Covid began with fever, body aches, headache, mild dry cough. By week two cough was tight/wheezy (constricted ! ) but was able to manage with Albuterol and nebulizer from my kids asthma. (I don’t have asthma). Winding down with low fever in the evenings for several days before going away. My 66 y/o make room mate had fever of 103.6 one evening, gone next day, returned two more random days. No other symptoms. He eats well, supplements, gets a lot of exercise at his job. Crazy how it affects us all so differently. I’m a registered nurse and could not stop watching!great info! Also, people tend to cover arms, jackets, coats in cooler weather, reducing sun exposure and D3 levels drop...boom flu season susceptibility. Some stay inside more during hot summer..boom drop in D3!
Yes! I was in the hospital about 3 months into the pandemic because I had an ulcer start bleeding and there was so much chaos a support staff member actually helped me get to the bathroom and she went and got my phone from my husband outside and brought it in so I could face time my kids because I couldn't have visitors and I came in by ambulance without it. Hospital support staff is critical and they matter so much.
This takes me back to high school when I had no idea what my teachers were talking about but I had to keep listening and pretending I was getting everything. Hats off to all the doctors out there. That's a lot of information to know about.
Not vaccinated and have covid right now . I had body ache, major headache, chills and shortness of breath at times . But I’m getting better every day . Today is my 6th day and I thank God for my strength! Natural immune system 👍🏽
take Vit D3, Vit C, Zinc and if you can get it (prescription) get Budesonide and use nebulizer. 9th to 10th day is critical and you want to protect your lungs
Use a vaporizer to help you breath hot showers boil water and put a towel over your head to steam that helped me so much for my headache being outside helped me so much it literally took my headache away I had it for 3 days it was horrible
FYI PEOPLE MAY HAVE BIZARRE IDEAS BUT AT LEAST ITS SOMETHING TO GO ON. BUILD FROM THERE. I BET PEOPLE THOUGHT EINSTEIN, & ALL THE OTHER SCIENTISTS WERE BIZARRE AT THAT TIME
I’m a virologist who works on coronaviruses imagine the whole thing from my point of view. I really can’t explain what it’s like to be told to “do your research” on the internet.
So please direct us to the Kotes postulate results regarding this alleged virus. Until it is provided the virus has not been formally identified. Proof please Science not fairy dust.
Great job Doc! Thank you for that awesome explanation. My husband and I were stricken with COVID19. My husband's lungs were in pretty bad shape, as you've explained. After 28 days in ICU, 23 days on the ventilator and the doctors having done all they could, God gave us a miracle! The medical staff calls him The Miracle Man. After 64 days, he's back home and in therapy 2x per week! We're so thankful to have overcome this wicked virus! Thank you Jesus! I pray for you and all those that are working so hard to save lives. You are appreciated! 🤗💜🙏🏾
almost 2mil ppl have died so far, why are you tanking god? It's doctors that save lives, while god is absent. My dad died of covid19, should i still be tanking god? Or you have a convenient excuse, like god works in mysterious ways, or testning us?
Then as a nurse, you should already KNOW that we all have IMMUNE SYSTEMS for a reason!! You also know DAMNED WELL, that the more you baby your immune system, the WEAKER it gets, but obviously you're being paid by the Gov't to perpetuate the communist LIE!! We should all be OUTSIDE, mingling with others - NOT cooped up in our homes, which PROLONGS the virus, which is exactly what the dirty, lying, murderous, hate-filled commie China regime wants!! Fauci and Birx are BOTH hooked up with a$$hole Bill Gates and the commie China regime, and they stand to make a TON of $$$ when they 'develop a vaccine' which 'cures' this virus!! The virus is real, but the FEAR MONGERING over how deadly it is, is what is FAKE NEWS! Watch the video called "Not So Trusted Voices" and one by Dr. Shiva - VERY informative as to what's REALLY going on - a dirty commie China regime plot to destroy economies worldwide! This virus is, in fact, by their OWN admission (the 'health experts') far MILDER than any virus we've had to date! It affects the same damned demographic as flu viruses affect EVERY year! Yet we've NEVER had to shut down economies before - this is total madness, and the statistics they're spewing in the news are all propagandist LIES!! People are saying their hospitals are EMPTY - there is no "crisis"!!! Please watch the videos, if you haven't already.
@@janishart5128 Herd immunity? How many people especially elderly have been sacrificed so far? Elderly, individual with underlying disease and unfortunate healthy people have been died. Go check and do stat for mortality.
Janis Hart The inability to comprehend math is a great tragedy in the US. 5% of mortality on 2 millions infections is 100k fucking deaths! Since you aren’t afraid, we need brave people like you to volunteer at the covid wards!
My 91 year old mother and I (67 years) both had covid at the same time. We are both on Losarten; she uses breathing treatments I use a C-pap at night. I also take a Beta blocker and nose spray with fluticasone. Neither of us had to go to the hospital or dr. Not saying that we we not sick, cause we were, but we made it through without anything but over the counter meds.
Yup. It all adds up. Plus O+ blood helps. Lots of small factors. One study showed how smokers had a leg up bcz some of the alveoli receptors were already gummed up with tobacco. Go figure🙄

I m with yall I am 62 have COPD stage 4 and Lupus It was bad do not get me wrong, but I did not go to the hospital and all I did was call my doctor, he sent me some prednisone and a adiabatic also I am on that one meds that Trump was talking about and o+ blood type
Exactly and I'm glad -- Some of murdered some are not. some are overdoesed with the medicine to 'relax' them before putting them to sleep like cats and dogs (venting) and then they may or may not be revived and then some are starved via their IV some are not. Its that simple.
Not exactly, just guesswork; to me, it's just poor immune system, not genetic variations; it predominantly affects older folks, so has nothing to do with genes, but the weak immune defense
It's juvenile, it's like a hiccup in the flow of his discourse, appealing to the developmentally delayed or ADHD crowd, and I don't know why he'd want to make that kind of concession.... these videos are a tremendous amount of work to compose, and the subject is life and death, not the stuff of Southpark "wit".
@@9UaYXxB I strongly disagree with your opinion that Dr. Hansen’s use of dry humor is damaging to the quality or delivery of his content. Humor is and will continue to be an incredibly effective rhetorical device to present information to an audience. Within the context of this video, it allows the listener/viewer to relate the presented information to cultural or pop references, which in turn this helps with long-term comprehension. For many listeners/viewers, humor also makes the typically dense and arduous pathophysiological concepts more welcoming to learn and easier to digest within the first exposure to the video. Lastly, I re-watched the video to unsure I was correct in saying this, there is no point where he uses humor to address any “life and death” issues. The closest he even gets to it is when he jokes about Avengers: Endgame when discussing changes in lung physiology between a healthy patient and a patient with COVID-19 disease. He never jokes about running codes, losing patients, or anything beyond pathophysiology. Furthermore, to write that Dr. Hansen’s video and its use of humor is “appealing to the developmentally delayed or ADHD crowd” is incredibly ignorant, hurtful, and baseless. It serves no purpose, and it undermines your already superficial and elitist “holier-than-thou” opinion. I do not know if you are healthcare professional or have work with/cared for persons who are mentally challenged or living with learning disabilities, but if you are/have, shame on you. You clearly lack empathy and understanding towards these people if you are willing to use their experiences as a cheap insult to strangers.
I am 73 years young. Have been taking Zinc since 2012 because I worked in a hospital prison. That same year my apartment was in fasted with biting mites. The MD put me on Ivermection. As the pandemic emerged in 2019 I started taking Vit D, C , and Cranberry. . My immune system must be pretty good and I have not gotten Covid. I am blessed 🙌.
I had it and it was no joke I couldn’t breath right kept coughing very bad. My dad just passed away from it😢😢😢. What I did to make me better was lots of fruit, green tea with cinnamon tumeric and honey, robutisson a lot of rest
Get the vaccine so you will minimize the chances of getting it again and you will minimize the effects if you get it. More importantly, it minimizes the chance of passing it on to other people to whom it could be deadly. It's the responsible choice.
I'm a physical therapist and I love the detailed explanation you gave on this topic. It was like listening to a lecture again but a lot more interesting with the way you explain things. I'm inspired to be more passionate about my profession.
Me to I have cancer but I don’t ha cov19 and I pray for all this people I hope I never get this virus is sad how peoples die the breaking my heart I pray for everybody God bless everybody🙏
It almost killed me because of my uncontrolled diabetes. Pneumonia set in. I didn’t feel all that bad but an at home oxygen meter showed me something was wrong with my oxygen levels. Went to the hospital and was admitted. I still think that little finger meter saved my life, and medical staff of course.
I walked into the ER with my o2 at 72, had pneumonia with Covid (took 3 tests to get a + covid result), my lungs looked basically like the picture you had shown completely cloudy, they could not hear breath sounds at all. I had ARDS as well, went into the ICU and avoided the vent by doing everything my nurse told me to do. I proned up to 16 hrs a day, I used my spirometer as much as I could, I coughed up and spit out all the nasty that I could, I used the Aerobika as much as I could (not sure if that's the real name but it's the name on the side of the device) but I did everything to a T that they asked and more if my body let me. I was in the ICU for 4 days, then a regular room for 2 days and walked out of the hospital not having to take o2 at home. My nurses and doc were amazed and had no words as to why. I'm a 39 yr old obese stubborn SOB who never thought to give up and was determined to make it home for my middle child's bday (I did!). I was admitted on Thanksgiving of 2021, as of today (2/9/22) I have lasting brain issues from the ARDS, not anything catastrophic but memory issues, hard to find words I'm trying to say, get lost easily and my lungs still give me hell trying to exercise or walk a big store. I don't complain because I know I'm one of the very few like me to get out alive. I honestly had no idea just how lucky I am until watching this though.
recovery is a process. it may take some of us years to get back to partially where we were. I only used my inhalers when I was sick. I use them every day now due to covid. Its slowly getting better but I have resigned myself to the fact that many asthmatics through no fault of their own can end up with COPD. Nature of the beast. I didn't think I'd be looking at that This early in my life but Im on this side of the sod as my WWII veterans use to say.
People died because they were sent home from the ERs & told, "Drink Lots of Fluids, Take Tylenol and get lots of Rest." 3-4 Days later, the Viral Infection had become Bacterial in the Alveoli and it was too late to save the Patient I already had a supply of BIAXIN & Quinine Syrup. As soon as I got sick, I took the Concentrated QUININE Syrup and took the Macrolide Antibiotic. My Fever and Chest Pressure were gone in 3 Days.
@@chellecross2755 The Concentrated Quinine Syrup is Not 🚫 Technically "Medicine" but Doctors have been using it for over 400 Years in Various Forms. The Gin & Tonic Cocktail 🍸 🍹. was invented in the 1700s in India, so the British could prevent Malaria & get Drunk at the same time. I get mine on AMAZON. (Don't take much at first. Only a few Tablespoons). The BIAXIN (Clarithromycin) is a MACROLIDE ANTIBIOTIC, for which you need a Doctor's Prescription. It was invented in 1980, is very similar to Zithromax, but is more Effective. BIAXIN is derived from an older Macrolide (Erithromycin), invented in 1949. I had Covid a few weeks ago, tell tale sign was loss of taste and smell. I had no fever or any other respiratory symptoms. From days 3-6 it felt like mono with a hangover style headache, but outside of that I was fine, I made a full recovery. One thing you need to watch for with this is that it can dehydrate you, biggest thing is to make sure you drink PLENTY of fluids and eat a good diet and also get plenty of vitamin C and D. I feel this made a big difference.
100% on the money! The weirdest thing was a hangover like headache with cough for 6 days. Now I just have a lingering cough (day 14). My very 1st symptom was the hangover-like headache on Day 1 paired with a scratchy like cough. Day 2 is when I had body aches and chills but now fever. Maybe slightly elevated temperature of 99.5. Then day 3 to 9 just had cough and a weird pain in the middle of my back (thoracic area) which is now gone. Feeling good most of the time and a bit fatigue.
I take Losartan and was on an antiviral when I came down with the symptoms. Although I was quite sick and had a fever, it was nothing compared to the flu I had last year. I’m an older female with underlying health conditions and I sailed right through it, thank God!
@@buttarain27 I also have asthma and copd. Hubby has heart disease and high blood pressure. He came home from work with covid. I don't know what to expect next.
@@MegaDiddlemaus thats not true! My husband smokes & he got extremely sick right before the virus was finally recognized here in the US & I'd bet anything he had Covid-19. I got it as well but my symptoms werent nearly as bad. He had fever, terrible whole body aches, his breathing was so bad he got out of breath just walking 15 steps to the kitchen. If it wasnt for our nebulizer machine for my asthma, he would of been in the hospital the 1st week. He was out of it the worst for 2 weeks but overall sick with symptoms for 7 weeks. This virus is no joke.
PULMONARY LAVAGE --used for people with chronic infection of the lungs --it cleans ou tthe lungs and the patient can then brreath without effort. The treatment consists of washing out first one lung then the other so ther patient can still breath with one lung, while the other is being washed. A solution is put into one lung, the patiient is put on a board that vibrates or shakes to loosen he junk in the the lung, then aspirated out --after a short revovery period, the other lung is washed. At least two hospitals do this--the -University of Colorado and the University at San Diego. Pulmonary lavage treatment cleared out 80% of gunk from the lungs of a smoker-patient said he felt like a new person. I think this method could be used to clean out lungs of covid-19 patients.

I very much appreciate that you explain your topics intelligently. You provide enough chemistry and biology to make your topics precise and educational yet still accessible for the lay audience. Also, I appreciate the screen capture of the studies you reference so that anyone can investigate further if they wish. Your presentations are well produced and edited. My husband takes Ace inhibitor for HBP. He caught first wave of Covid19 and breezed thru it. I had it bad and barely missed going to ER. This virus strikes indiscriminately and no one can be sure how one's body will react. Thank you Dr Hansen for your informative videos.
@@franrushie1383 Yes. If everyone had better nutrition, and the mainstream news networks talked about vitamins as opposed to fear mongering, we could get through each flu season with much less pain... Including this one.
@Tony Toney I agree. Unfortunately, I'm not looking for something to laugh about. My comment was actually more of a complement but maybe, you interpreted it the other way.
I am really struggling with this virus, I have had symptoms for 69 days now, just over 2 months. Extremely painful, distressing symptoms from shortness of breath, chest pain to extreme fatigue and body aches. I feel hopeless as most other people have shifted the virus in a matter of weeks if not days. I am usually fit & healthy no underlying issues in my mid 20s.

Drink lots of fluid, not cold, especially warm water and lots of hot lemon. Eat hot soft watery food like watery rice with spicy and hot hot soup. Take paracetamol often if still have temperature. Eat plenty of orange and plenty of vitamin. And eat plenty of fruits. Boil ginger, Gallic, very hot and inhale it deeply. Have plenty of rest. So how do you explain the situation in Israel? Out of the people that died in hospital 60% were vaccinated! If the vaccine is that good shouldn’t they be protected enough to not die - not that high of a rate. And why is Israel at dose number 4? I don’t know of any other vaccine that needs that many boosters in such short time spans.
A couple of people asking questions about COVID-19 being similar to HAPE (High-Altitude Pulmonary Edema). And possibly using diamox (acetazolamide) to either prevent and/or treat COVID-19. There are no approved drugs at this time. And I promise you, diamox will not be one of them. Some doctors are comparing HAPE to COVID ARDS because 1) they both have low oxygen levels 2) they both have bilateral infiltrates and 3) (which is the one most people, including many doctors, don't realize), which is they both have pulmonary vasoconstriction (the arteries that go to the lungs constrict), causing less blood flow to go to the lungs, and therefore less oxygen can be picked up by the blood. Diamox is used as treatment, but for prophylaxis for HAPE when people are about to climb a mountain. It works by inhibiting the carbonic anhydrase enzyme, effectively spilling bicarbonate into the urine, making you urinate more, but also "tricking" your brain into telling your lungs to breathe more. It might temporarily remove a small portion of fluid from the lungs, at best. This does nothing for ARDS, especially COVID-19 ARDS. I'll make a video about this soon if that is something you want. My next video is about the most promising drugs for COVID-19 (spoiler alert: diamox is not one of them).
Doctor Mike Hansen The physician promoting the “HAPE-like illness” idea most visibly is Dr. Cameron Kyle-Sidell. He worked in a Brooklyn ICU but was allegedly “kicked off the team” and sent to work in the ER instead for breaking protocol. His main treatment complaint is that since this virus presents so atypically, ventilators do more harm than good in many severe cases / lead to a number of unnecessary fatalities. Very controversial - not sure what to make of it all. I don’t recall his mention of diamox. Your explanations are clear and fabulous, and have convinced me to resume taking Losartan for essential hypertension (which I recently discontinued after several years out of deep safety concerns). Only on Metoprolol currently.
Doctor Mike Hansen A Seattle doctor, Ryan Padgett, 44, suffered a severe cytokine storm, was intubated and faced possible ECMO treatment/probable death...then a medication that had been used experimentally in China, Actemra, was administered. He recovered quickly thereafter. I’ll be interested to see if this is among the drugs you mention...
Seems to me there's a lot more that we don't know than do know. My entire family had covid (tested positive) My mother who has copd, kidney and liver issues, genetic issues and cancer she survived with very little medical intervention... There is more that we do not know.

I'm a general practitioner from Mozambique and since the first physiopathology of Covid-19 was described I always wondered why no one was talking about ace inhibitors for potential treatment, even asked some pneumologist about it and all they could say was no trials have been done. You are the first one to talk about them being a potencial treatment. Thanks for the video. Great content 👌🏼
Neglect because they are overwhelmed with patients but they need to hire more people.!!! They charge thousands for a visit at the Er they can afford to hire more staff. 🥺 so many people died.
Would like to have addressed: 1) Upregulation of ace2 receptors in patients taking ace inhibitors or ARBs 2) significantly higher mortality rate in patients taking antihypertensives
Yes.. prob depends on how long a patient's been on the ace inhibs and the dose... What if we could make a medicine that had a higher affinity for the vírus to bind it before it hits the ace receptor
Even more a blessing I'm alive! I have thalassemia too..it was not fun. The diabetes was nothing - I'm 'tight' as a type I. Active, eat well, daily exercise, etc. I almost died three times in 4 weeks. On Lisinopril because the doctors fought to convince me take it for "renal protection".....I didn't want to do it, but after two years I said fine. Regret this. My kidneys were fine, and now my lungs are not.
We can speculate on why antihypertensive use may increase the mortality rate, specifically the use of NSAIDs. It's not hard to see that it may be due to the systemic vasodilation effects on the pulmonary vessels like capillaries. Allowing more flow into the alveoli and increasing flow in general, accelerates vascular activity including the transmission rate of cytokines. A look at bats physiology indicates that due to adaptations to flight there's a genetic lack of response to reactive oxygen species and cellular metabolites associated with apoptosis showing a general lack of immune responses to cellular breakdown. That is why they are able to carry viruses like Sars-Cov-2 unaffected. A possible solution may be to downregulate the immune response to the cytokine storm and limit the damage to the pulmonary system. I have not heard anything about antihistamines included in therapy alone or in combination but I would not be surprised if it helps. As well as doing everything else that stems chronic inflammation. I've heard the effects are not the same with acetaminophen as with NSAIDs though. I'd be interested to see a study on the efficity of incorporating a combination of anti inflammatory, an antihistamine and an antiviral combination as part of a regiment included in an extended fasting therapy. Probably not gonna happen because the professionals may not be looking at it from that angle. Prevention is still the best medicine it seems.
@@kylieobrien4253 Great, they are saying, if you have had the COVID you are immune better than the shot,!! This came from one of Pfizer's main scientists!!
Although no one has come out and publicly shown (that I have seen) that people who have developed antibodies to Covid from prior infection is better protected than the immunized thru vaccinations will more than likely not be publicized unless it comes from a large and highly scrutinized study. I would not be surprised if your antibody response is greater than the vaccinated but remember, the drug companies have a lot invested in their vaccination programs and they do not want to lose out to the naturally "immunized". They are all competing for the top slot and future vaccinations. Big money.

I worked in the medical field and I am now retired I would love for someone to explain to me....How does one pathogen cause a SARS like sickness with infection in the resparatory system then also in another individual upset stomach, nausea, diarrhea and no fever??? I was taught this is impossible.
It has to do with the ACE-2 receptor, which is what the spike protein of SARS-Cov-2 binds to to gain entry into cells. These receptors are expressed on the surfaces of epithelial cells all over your body, in many different organ systems. Most notably, the upper and lower respiratory tract, the small intestine, the blood vessels, and the brain. The reason that COVID-19 classicaly presents with respiratory symptoms is because of how it's transmitted and those are the cells to come in contact with it first. I don't know if there is a great explanation for how some people have only GI symptoms and no respiratory symptoms, but one thought is that cells of the respiratory epithelium are loaded with virus-fighting substances such as interferon; depending on numerous factors; namely age. So the virus may not succeed in invading respiratory tract cells but still find a home somewhere else in the body.
@@musicalmedic81 I had little respiratory problems but almost a month since I got it, I still have nausea. I did not get diarrhea but I could not stomach anything! Even water tasted bitter. I lost 12 lbs. I have always suffered from stomach problems. I also believe that it attacks your weaknesses.
Not impossible. When myself and both daughters had Covid in January 2021, they both had vomiting and diarrhea, along with other symptoms. I didn’t have the same issues. Mine were more respiratory. I ended up in MICU and also ended up with type 1 diabetes, which is rare at the age of 50. It’s an autoimmune disease.
Bro, it wasn't your intention to explain a creator's internal design, but you've succeeded that task flawlessly, at least for me. It's extremely hard to lend my attention to evolution when this is unmistakably the universal blueprint of a designer. Great explanation.
3:15 thank you for the shout out! I am a professional cleaner, and have been for 10 years. We usually get looked down upon, nevermind that we usually have to have top clearance credentials and make a decent wage because of such. And the fact that we were deemed "essential workers" in the midst of this pandemic. So thank you again for the shout out!
I noticed alot of the deaths shown on the news show pictures of over weight people but the news never mentions that underlying factor? Does obesity make the virus more fatal?
@Scott Black naw, the SARS-CoV-2 causes the Covid-19 disease. Obesity may impact Covid risk in several ways such as increasing the risk for impaired immune function & chronic inflammation, both of which could make it harder for the body to fight the Covid-19 infection. Excess fat can also make it harder for a person to take a deep breath, an important consideration for an illness that impairs lung function. What’s worth noting is the viral load a person is exposed to determines how severe their Covid infection will become.
My mom is on blood pressure medication 3 of them, she had covid for 4days and her oxygen level was at 96 when she was admitted and 4 days later it was at 99percent she is on dialysis and she's 71. They said she was the only person to come in walking and left in 4 days. I used herbs like hyssop and oil of oregano daily on her.
Why was she be admitted with 96 percent oxygen? That’s normal. My dad wasn’t admitted and he had 92% with pneumonia. Next day it dropped to 80s and was finally admitted.
On natural immunity: I'm 37, I'm very active at work I climb ladders a lot. I believe I may be naturally immune. Lost my mother and my grandmother in September to the Delta variant and it was the toughest thing, my mom was on the ventilator for 80 days, in a coma. I would go to the ICU to visit her once a week because she was on ECMO and even though they weren't allowing visitors because she was on ECMO I was still allowed to visit which was a blessing. I really didn't care I just wanted to be near my mom, The hospital it was one of the biggest ICUs in the country and down every wall there is a ton of rooms and each one had a person with a ventilator. And there was several wings and several floors like this. I thought about all the money being raked in. But, I guess I was very angry. But I expected to get sick I never did, I got close enough to her that I could smell the air coming out of her lungs out of the ventilator. Didn't get sick. My wife got covid twice over the past 6 months, the first time she lost her taste and smell with bad body aches and couldn't get out of bed for a few days, we shared a soda at the beginning of her sickness before we realized it was covid. All I got was a little sniffle for a half a day. Then she came down with this omicron variant right after Christmas and again I expected to get sick finally, but I never did, I was an extremely close proximity with her for extended periods of time both times she was sick, the first time I had a headache a little bit for one day and I was wondering, is this it? Is this the covid inside me? But that was it it was just like a half of a day. Same thing with the omicron, I was in the same room with her very much and my son was hugging her and being near her and stuff and I was loving on him all the time you know picking him up and talking with him. Never got sick. By the grace of God. But I don't know if I have natural immunity, I guess there's no way to really tell, but I do know that I am a little perplexed that I haven't gotten sick at all. The only preventative stuff that I did was take 10, 000u vitamin D daily, when the pandemic was bad for a couple weeks, and when my wife was sick. That's about it though. So that's my 2 cents. God bless all you people who have lost somebody to this terrible abomination of covid. It's been the toughest thing in my entire life having to lose her we were so close, she was I believe the most special mom anybody could have ever asked for. Super compassionate, she would always pray with me and point me towards the Lord for just about everything. When she detected that something was bothering me or I was upset or sad about something, she would ask me to come sit next to her and talk about it even if I didn't want to. But eventually once I started talking about it I would always feel better and she would always somehow find some scripture and point me back to Jesus. And now that's what I'm going to do for my son. To all of y'all who have lost somebody: they're probably up there with my mom and my dad, and I believe they are very much alive where they are at. Beautiful in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his saints, yes it's hard to wrap our minds around this but it's true. As long as we are in the body we are apart from the Lord. And when we are with the Lord there is no better place to be. I'm sure once a person gets up there, they would never want to come back down here to this cursed earth. You will see them again soon, but not too soon, remain strong in God, And in Jesus. Go out and love immensely! Carpe diem!!! Hug your families a little longer and hold their hands a little tighter, because we are not guaranteed tomorrow. Treat every breath that comes out of your lungs as a blessing because each one is. Heaven is never that far away, just a breathe away. Be kind to everyone even the ones who are not kind to you, just don't let them take advantage of you. Once we get up there, it is the end of tearful goodbyes.... And nothing but hellos forevermore. And we will get a new glorified body one day, and you will see them again. Never despair, never lose hope, and spread it like wildfire. God is good amen.
Omg ur story touched me I lost my Mommie to Covid 💔😭😭I miss her so much she was my BFF I question everyday why my Mommie???she was a sweet loving mom who love her kids Nd grandkids…. I can’t cope with this at all

My dear sister died from COVID19 the end of October. She went through a lot in a short period of time. Her name is Rev Annette Marie Roache. She is missed
I had it in October along with the rest of my family. Im in my 40s and I'm a smoker but other than that I'm pretty healthy. I pushed myself to work around the house, yard etc for at least 4-5 hours a day. I didn't want to lay around and let fluid collect in my lungs. I got over it in a week except for lingering mucous (most likely from cigarette smoking). The rest of my family that laid around for days did much worse than me. I realize there are many things that contribute to each person's recovery but I truly believe that exercising your lungs while having covid-19 only helps in healing.
Who told you you had it? To have 'recovered ' "FROM IT" ..... A positive NON DIAGNOSTIC ( SO NO DIAGNOSIS .... FROM THE RT PCR TEST)? AND Did you know it still HASN'T ever been proven to exist? From the CDC's own document on Covid ..... page 39 .... THEY admit it. Do some research, even the Dr's who COULD mean well, are PERPETUATING all this without proof it exists. They got 13,000 plus for each of your cases, and 40,000 for each of you on a ventilator. CARES FOR THEMSELVES ACT money
@@blainebunton no I was positive for covid-19. I've had flu many times in my life and that was nothing like I've ever experienced. Back to back high fevers, muscle aches and loss of taste to name a few. One day I had no cough than the next day I did. I don't know what the CDC says from one day to the next but I do know that what I had in October was unlike anything else I've ever come down with.
Phenomenal explanation, Dr. Hansen. Thank you. Also, that bit about "Hey...you wanna have some fun??" was hilarious. Thank you for maintaining the good humor.
The most horrifying thing about this pandemic is that, assuming that every person knows at least 200 people (some studies say 600), myself and all the people I have talked with about this do not know even 1 person who died as a result of this pandemic who didn't already have a serious pre existing health issue. In fact, none of us even know anyone who was hospitalized with this virus who didn't have other pre existing conditions. Another horrifying revelation is that the PCR test produces false positives if it uses over a 35 cycle threshold and that most of the tests are using a 40 cycle threshold. Another horrifying fact is that on death certificates, even if a test (which would be likely to show a false positive) was NOT performed, if the doctor suspects that the patient might have had the virus, then that's what they list as the cause of death. Yes, indeed... this is a horrifying purported pandemic.
@@thisismetoday7423 I'm very sorry for your loss. My grandmother died 20 years ago from pneumonia, and it was a painful thing to watch. They're both in peace now. God bless.
@@thisismetoday7423 and you would inow how. What was her age. Everytime someone always says they knew someone. Prove it cut and paste a link to the obituary. I doubt that will happen. I've known 6 people that tested positive and all had underlying health condition, and all survived without extraordinary means. 3 of which I work with.
If a person has cancer, they might have 3 months to live, but if they get Covid and die two weeks after contracting covid, theirbcause of death is covid and not their cancer.
Quan Nguyen Dr. Oz is not a quack... he no longer practices... but def not a quack... he saved my grandmother when she was young and he was practicing... he’s now into entertainment but doesn’t disqualify the people he has helped.
Yes, because the mortality rate due to covid is just around 1%...other viral diseases had much higher mortality than covid. RSV had a mortality rate of 7 to 9% especially in patients with extreme age according to the new US data.
I found this too technical. Can you give us (the common people) tips on what we can do without feeling paranoid? Can we walk down the street or is the virus lingering in the air? I live downtown in a heavily affected city, can I open my windows without worry? Do you think this virus will be around for 2 years, 5 years? SHould us city dwellers be packing for the woods? I need tips on how to survive not on how to become a doctor.
85 y.o. mother just released fm ICU having spent many days w/COVID, double pneumonia & sepsis; any one of which she could have died from. We could not visit. Doc said she was surprised mom even made it out of hosp. After release mom relayed many ppl admitted w/COVID had never been vaxx & some had all vaxx & still died. I think right now it's about saving lives, trying to educate ppl what to do to try and prevent getting this virus, i think until they have all that info is in, there's no point in putting it out there
I have to listen intently to understand what you are saying, but, I really appreciate your videos. I think the more informed I am , the less afraid I will be. Thank you.
Question Doctor ,is it mandatory testing you for covid-19 by a doctor , clinic or hospital even thou they screen you for fever and everything is normal?
I hope I never get this awful virus, but if I do I want to be sent to wherever you are to treat me, you sound as if you treat every patient with a personal desire to make them well . One question if you’re lucky enough to recover from this , is there a reduced lung function as a result of the virus 🦠
Data from Chinese and American (New Orleans) autopsies suggest this is likely due to blood clots in the lungs in both the capillaries and alveolar sacks. Patients have been complaining about reduced lung function two months after recovering.
I and three friends caught it on a trip to Austria, an area that was placed in quarantine whilst we were there. We’d also all had the seasonal flu about 6 weeks earlier on another trip, so we knew it was not that. The symptoms varied from v.mild, to flu like, to flu like with some chest pain for a couple of days. One was able to get a test, and was confirmed positive. Another four friends on the same trip, who were in close contact with us, showed no symptoms atall. Coincidentally they were the four youngest members of the party. So all pretty much as per WTO advice about the virus only causing mild or no symptoms in most people. Incidentally the same part of Austria is subject to a class action by a German consumer organisation for 2,500 all with confirmed test results apparently.
I have a question, since the virus is not that deadly but highly infective, why don't they let us out free so we catch it faster, develop antibodies, and of course reach the goal of herd immunity faster, instead of using vaccines?
@@lordlork1890 no not quarantine, but everybody will be back in quarantine in Autumn once again if not vaccinated... but still some things still apply, masks, curfew, distance etc etc
What people do not understand is the this so called Black Death Covid is Airborne!!!! Therefore it’s in the air which means it’s everywhere which means that all of these illegal measures are completely useless and doctors know it
@@hebermoloney it's not airborne (not everywhere).. you catch it through droplets coming from the mouth, breathing, coughing etc etc... the measures are indeed useless but for another reason.. the reason being is that by staying in quarantine you create virus areas (your home), 1 person can infect the whole family. being outside is safer because the air clears it better. Masks can also be dangerous because by exchaling you exhale bacteria and you breath'em back in
Amazing how evolution decided to create the lung, the milluons of alveoli and perfect gas exchanges. Don't kid yourself. A higher being or interstellar creator is definitely involved.
Well done! It’s been waaaay too long since I’ve taken immunology but I followed along easily. These enzyme cascades can be so complicated, getting this information across readily is tricky.
Thank you! Yeah, they're are people who dedicate their lives to studying immunology, and there is still so much even they don't know. incredibly complicated
@@DoctorMikeHansen Is there any info on covid 19 and people who are having, or recently had, rituximab treatments? I'm curious because I recently had rituximab treatment (once a week for four weeks) for autoimmune ITP. How might that affect risk of getting the most severe lung effects from covid 19? And what about the estrogen effect after menopause?
I haven't had a biology course since college in 1972. I do read a lot of science because I am interested so not a total dunce but some of the papers on Covid seem almost contradictory from one to another. This video explained everything so there was no problem following it. I we especially glad that the hemoglobin issue was raised. A relative is stuck on that and now I can debunk with more than an "I don't think so" !
My brother had COVID pneumonia and recently passed away on Feb 19th. He just couldn’t beat this. He was only 56. I started watching your videos when he was in the hospital and found them very informative. It’s to late for my brother but I hope they find something to help save others. Thank you for trying to explain all of this to us.
Recovering from Covid-19, finally, after over 2 months from onset. Electrolytes contributed to the positive turning point and are crucial to healing. Please pass this information on to those who may need to know.
cbeautifulworld11 As. A retired nurse I remember always checking for the level of Patients Electrolytes via blood sample Good information thanks for that
@Dee I like water with Liquid I.V. - individual packets of electrolyte powder without artificial flavors, coloring, preservatives or artificial sweeteners. It does have cane sugar, though. I sometimes split the packets so they're less sweet. I'm going to try a sugar free, vegan version which also tastes good. Just an fyi if you're also dealing with covid: I've relapsed three times since writing the initial comment. It's a common cycle for all of us who are "Covid-19 "Longhaulers", those who don't get well quickly yet still survive with months of symptoms. If this happens to you or to anyone you know, Facebook groups such as Long Haul Covid Fighters Round 1 - 80+ Days and Survivor Corps are so helpful.
No. Covid-19. Calling the virus CCP just feeds into trump's deflection tactics to avoid admitting his own responsibility in the deaths of 215,000+ people so far.
I happen to take one of the drugs the doctor mentioned, started with an asthma inhaler immediately, took zinc, and drank lots of Gatorade. I have several risk factors yet I was refused a Covid test. This was back in March. In other states, people were being tested more than once. The fever and cough was the worst.
Dr. Drew talks about the recent study which came out showing that 50% of the younger men who took the gene therapy injections and had cardiac symptoms as a result, have been shown to have PERMANENT heart damage.
Some people that got infected with covid itself also had cardiac symptoms (myocarditis). If someone is prone to it, it can be from covid or the vaccine unfortunately.
The concepts are not complex , you just need to learn individual structures and their functions , toss in so chemistry maybe some physics and some math (for protein folding , ion channels pressure and volume ) ... just like everything it needs to be studied every day,
I was a RRT for 7 yrs am now an MSN with 20+ yrs Trauma ICU experience & this was an amazing explanation of the heart/lung & infectious pathophysiology. Thank you for a great video! 🤩🔥😎 My father passed in June from COVID. After two weeks of trying to increase his oxygen with some of the techniques and medications you described in this video. The decision to go on a ventilator was made; however he had heart attack as they were intubating him. He was too weak. I want people to understand; that yes people die all the time from all the things they have before; but this is different. You do NOT to not get to be with your loved one, to hold hands, to pray, to say I love you. It is horrible!!! To know they are alone (except for the wonderful nurses and doctors who are there risking their lives for your family) is heartbreaking. My dad was a man of faith, family and country and died without us. I do not want this for any more families. Wear your mask, wash your hands and stay safe. Much love ❤️ 💕❤️💕
Unfortunately I'm in this club also my dad died November 6th....what ways heavy on our hearts is he died without us there😪 We got to talk to him about an hour before I believe he heard us because his heart stopped after he heard from all of us, we all wanted him to get better but we understood if he was tired & wanted to stay in heaven we would see him one day.
My husband had an appointment with his doctor who sent him to the ER and called to tell them he was coming, despite that we waited SIX hours to be called back...I went back with him....he was tested and some jerk came into thel room and proclaimed , " congratulations...you teated positive for Covid", like it was a joke...they tested me and took me out of his room...I never saw him alive again...I was in the hospital for 6 days in complete isolation...a nurse came, took vital signs and left the room..meals were rushed in, served in styrofoam and was usually cold.. I was in a room with full bathroom so I could toilet myself ( whoopdedo) but wanted to shower but couldn't because the nurse wouldn't cover the IV site so I washed using the sink 😖😖 I left the hospital...7 days later I got a 4:30 am phone call asking us to come to the ICU... I held his cold hand when his heart stopped ( I signed the DNR and stoppage of meds papers..)...He was with his Saviour. During his time I wAs never informed of him condition..I felt they really didn't know what they were doing...does anyone else feel that your loved one got incomplete care???

It almost killed me because of my uncontrolled diabetes. Pneumonia set in. I didn’t feel all that bad but an at home oxygen meter showed me something was wrong with my oxygen levels. Everyone should own an Oximeter, especially during Covid
So glad you made it through 🙂
Thank you for your advice. I am happy that you made a full recovery.
Thanks for the insight, don’t forget that the form of vitamin D should be D3.

So how do you explain the situation in Israel? Out of the people that died in hospital 60% were vaccinated!

And the fact that we were deemed "essential workers" in the midst of this pandemic. So thank you again for the shout out!
I noticed alot of the deaths shown on the news show pictures of over weight people but the news never mentions that underlying factor? Does obesity make the virus more fatal?
Key factor, you have to lay on your stomach. It is pretty hard for a person with huge bellie to do this
I have heard over and over that it is a major contributing factor in COVID deaths.
Why are you obese?
@Scott Black where is your proof?

God is good. Amen. UK 🇬🇧

I'm so sorry.
Peace to you and family 🙏
🙏🏾🙏🏾
So sorry. My condolences.
My condolences i can relate🌷🙏
I had it in October along with the rest of my family. Im in my 40s and I'm a smoker but other than that I'm pretty healthy. I pushed myself to work around the house, yard etc for at least 4-5 hours a day. I didn't want to lay around and let fluid collect in my lungs. I got over it in a week except for lingering mucous (most likely from cigarette smoking). The rest of my family that laid around for days did much worse than me. I realize there are many things that contribute to each person's recovery but I truly believe that exercising your lungs while having covid-19 only helps in healing.
i also think the same
Who told you you had it?

My friend’s Mom just died from Covid last night and she didn’t have any pre existing health issues.

I only want him to be my doctor if I get this as well he’s brilliant
i want him as a doctor too.
Data from Chinese and American (New Orleans) autopsies suggest this is likely due to blood clots in the lungs in both the capillaries and alveolar sacks.
Patients have been complaining about reduced lung function two months after recovering.
thank you. Some patients with severe ARDS have reduced lung function, while others recover fully. Impossible to predict.
Because Iam allready free and dont need the goverment to tell me that
You're still in quarantine?! Where tf u at
@@lordlork1890 no not quarantine, but everybody will be back in quarantine in Autumn once again if not vaccinated... but still some things still apply, masks, curfew, distance etc etc
