All right, all right, all light. The Alpinestars Viper v2 jacket improves upon the original Viper’s legacy. Utilizing a multi-fabric shell construction, the Viper v2 deploys mesh panels and CE Level 1 Bio Armor shoulder and elbow protectors to balance comfort and protection. The Viper v2 is also cut with pre-curved sleeves for tucking in on twisty roads. A removable wind breaker liner hides inside. Additional features include two zippered hand pockets, a jacket-to-pant connection zipper, and reflective details to make the rider more visible at night.

A bit of a specific question but how well does the “bright red” or “fluo red” match the 2019 Honda cbr500r red?? Thanks
Without having both next to each other its hard to say, but I will let you know that it won't match 100%. The color codes are specific to each company so Alpinestars may aim for it to match as much as they can, but also to other red bikes available on the market so they don't pigeon hole themselves. Which gloves match this red? Alpinestars calls it “bright red” and the only gloves I see from them is the SPX AC V2 GLOVES which don’t even look close to the same color based off pictures.
What pants are really similar to this jacket?
What's that lower zipper compartment in the back of the jacket do? I store my windbreaker in there not sure if it's for additional armor.

It also has a sipper on the back bottom that opens a cavity. Is it just a vent zipper?
No - that is how you access all of the armor pockets in Alpinestars jackets. Very unique design feature they all have.

I’m confused on the size chart, it goes small medium, to medium large. I got the medium I’m 5’10 , 33 inch waist and i have to double check my chest..is medium for me?
The jacket should be comfortably snug when in the riding position, so it's likely that medium is appropriate. -DrewZilla
I was hoping the inside zipper around the waist that looks like a pocket with the collar looking flap that also as a zipper. Not sure what it’s for.

The Viper is a good option for casual touring in warm and hot weather. Remember to purchase the compatible Nucleon back protector as well. If you want a jacket with a removable waterproof rain liner, consider the other options below. -DrewZilla

Use your chest measurement and reference the sizing chart on the product page. Motorcycle jackets use that as the key decider for what will likely fit the best, even for this Viper v2 Air.
Can i wear this in the winter with a hoodie beneath at 0 degrees c?
That's really a personal question based on how well you handle cold but for most people, no - that will not be warm enough at speed with just a hoodie underneath.
@RevZilla, what is the difference between this and the t gp plus air v2?
The Viper uses lighter mesh and textile but still has CE Level 2 armor like the Plus Air v2. -DrewZilla

Which ce rating does it have? AA?
This jacket launched in 2019, before the new 2020 standards of abrasion went into effect. So I don't believe this one is on the A, AA scale spectrum as they would need to change the name in order to meet the EU's regulations on that. Every brand has until 2023 to meet the compliance on their lines.

ive got the jacket, doesnt have any pouches in the chest area for inserts.
