For the ppl complaining that hes not fun Try playing him like an actual summoner, using the Theorems Arcanes + residual kitguns. Solid army of the dead, and usefull for farming. Nash prime has a video showing this loadout, its the most fun i had playing nekros
Yup! I'll add 1 more build option to that if you want to have a really chill farm instead: Gloom + Arcane Eruption. Enemies are constantly knocked down for well over 20 seconds, while you just casually walk around and shoot enemies on the ground XD Even Eximus aren't that much of a threat as your shadows will distract them and you have 90% DR from the augment anyway.

I'm amazed that you didn't mention Gloom Nekros. The slow makes Terrify making them run away not matter. Plus it's very good for survivability with enemies not being able to attack quickly enough to be a threat anyway. Run Despoil for energy economy and Shield of Shadows for the slim chance that you take damage and things are pretty smooth most of the time.
@@reality4saints Despoil makes Desecrate use health instead of energy and Gloom gives lifesteal, so damage you deal recovers more than enough health to cover it
I can't get over nekro's tentacle pinky that aside, I play him with dark verse so he has an ability that he can use to slice up opponents, doubling the number of things he can desiccate.
Another perk that shield of shadows has over adaptation is knockback nullification, very useful if you dont have prime sure footed yet. This works for weapons that cause you to stagger as well, so long as you have at least 1 minion tendril connecting to you.
I love Nekros. I hadn't had one for a long time due to subsuming for the busted reworked Terrify, and Nekros Prime not being unvaulted when I played on and off. But I just finished Nekros Prime last week and my god I can't stop playing. It's a nice combination of some of my favorites like Nidus and Gauss and Xaku, where there's a mix of big AoE strip, auto-play, survivability... You can run health tank, shield tank, or camp with Blood Altar or Gloom. You can play more actively with casting shards and Nourish, you can go full zombie with Nourish and residual Arcanes... Support options with Soul Survivor and pressing his 3rd ability on. And he looks cool as hell. So, yeah, my favorite endurance farm frame easily. Glad to have him back.
The main reason I haven't played Nekros that much is just because I don't have his prime (and also Kullervo, Harrow, Baruuk, Dante, Gauss, and Volt have occupied much of my playtime since I like them all a lot)
Nekros is incredibly good, tho he is more of a passive frame. So i get why people say he is boring. I would like DE to buff soul punch. Give it the ability to remove shadows. And removing the ragdoll mechanic is basically a must. His passive also needs a rework. But that is mostly it.
Here's an idea for the passive. "each kill or assist by nekros or his companions grant his companions a stacking damage, attack speed, and fire rate buff. Companions lifesteal health to nekros." Companions include his shadows of course.
I have never used Nekros until April 2024, and I've committed more war crimes than Kullervo was ever accused of doing. Three words: "Well Of Life" Three more words: "Pool Of Life" Immortal Shadow Gang: "It just works." (please don't tell DE about this) 👀💦

Yeah my gloom nekros works like a tank of death And so far not even violence has killed my nekros with only mania being the real threat (or as I call them the ragdoll acylote) My personal build which has worked surprisingly well but is very enemy hungry in order to remain alive but can maintain its energy levels infinitely if you can kill fast enough (All of mods and arcanes being max) Power drift Physique Umbral vitality Umbral intensify Umbral fiber Energy Nexus Adaption Shield of shadows Despoil Primed flow Arcane guardian Arcane blessing (can replace it with arcane grace as well if you want) (Gloom replacing soul punch for health and slowing down enemies) 2 tau forged crimson for ability strength (to full strip armour) 2 tau forged amber for casting speed (this is necessary because you want to remain around large groups of enemies all the time not just for kills but health but loot) 1 tau forged violet for equilibrium (for energy sustainability not much but with energy Nexus, despoil and primed flow energy shouldn't be an issue) Beyond that my personal weaponry is reaper prime (being able to 2-3 hit acylotes so far) Toird (for kill sustainability) And secondly is pyrana prime (for nuffier bubbles only so I'm not wasting ammo with the torid) And terrify isn't necessary unless its like worst like worst case scenario getting cornerd then its necessary Side note: my friend (DOOM--SLAYER) gave me the gloom build for nekros originally but when whispers of the walls I decided to revisit my gloom nekros and perfect the build (The only times you would die is 1:you end up getting shot in the back/caught off guard 2:Mania/ragdoll acylote getting too close and starts ragdolling you everywhere 3: you're not killing quick enough to maintain your shield of shadows (which is going to be 90% damage reduction with 7 Shadows every single time) So yes this build is very expensive but can really tank even against acylotes (with the exception of mania which you would have to keep your distance) Although I still need to figure out the best weapons for nekros but I'm leaning towards slash based weapons but don't know the best slash based weapons for nekros specifically Side note: they is a cap for nekros's damage reduction with shield of shadows which is 90%
Screw using creeping terrify use gloom w sos and desecrate aug definitely getting annoyed by how many slots in losing to augments tho i hope de finally realizes some of them are just not used and add them to the base abilities and remove the augments nobody uses afterburner or guided effigy or everlasting ward. muzzle flash, staggering shield, mesa’s waltz ballistic bullseye should all be built in like honestly nobody has positive range on their mesa so why give augments with scaling range its like the put the minimal amount of brain power into some of these mods instead of just changing the ability
Ayoo Ill always use a slash melee (min. 50% status slash) to cut the corpses into pieces (every piece can give extra loot) and with equilibrium you have infinite energy.
Considering the Grindy nature of the Game... It Makes Sense.... Its not that he's other Qualities aren't as Important... Its just that *The Grind Is Real* ....
Personally my main issue is if I’m playing a summoner I wanna summon a bunch of stuff not one bunch of enemies then constantly healing them. If we could choose what we summoned perhaps stuff fully scanned in the codex that would fix this although I also I just don’t think this would really work with warframe so I don’t play them despite my love for summoners

Add Arcane Eruption to that to really shut down entire rooms, love that combo for chill farming.
Nourish buffs shadows with extra damage plus the knockback also the extra energy gives more synergy with desecrate so you can use less efficiency

I personally don’t find him super engaging to me, yes he is objectively good especially with Shield of Shadows. But he just doesn’t click with me.

L helmet+ratio.
Theorem infection+residual arcanes+nourish(him being one of the few frames that actually need it) gets you quite comfy to endurance.
