Hi CK thanks for the superb shots of cafes and other historical places in Taiping. Simply beautiful. Very professionally done. Fyi Double Tap serves the best sphaghetti bolognaise in town _ I feel that tastes better than in Pizza Hut. And Yinn's specialty is Cempedak Cheesecake. Come by again during Cempedak season
Wow love the rich history, laid-back ambiance, fresh foodie offerings and the adaptive reuse of the structures! Cheers to another great feature, best treasures indeed, Ck! 😃👍🏻🎉⭐️
Great video CK, loves your videos so much. Keep up the good work.👍 Useful information and history about our beloved country 🇲🇾 for the future generation.
Hi, Thanks for the Upload, very informative. My mother actually wants to know who is the singer that sang the song 'Wan Shui Qian Shan Zong Shi Qing' at 1.11s into your video. Tried looking in you tube but dono mandarin characters so very difficult for me. If you could share the link to that song it will be very helpful for me, Thanks.
Wow! How do you not gain weight from eating all the delicious food? Coffee no. 1. Wish we had hawker centers in CA and interesting local cafes. Thank you.☕
I am in Taiping as I write this. These are my impressions: * It's a bit shabbier than what I imagined. Alor Setar certainly is neater, tidier and makes a better first impression. * Triple Shot is now closed, but there's another cafe across the street, White Coffee. * Wah Cheong Roasted Duck is worth a visit, and not necessarily for the duck. * The lake gardens are lovely. Go early in the morning or late afternoon. Otherwise too hot.
For the price of a piece of cake I could have a very satisfying meal at one of the down to earth places near the market. The local dialect in Taiping is Hokkien. You played the wrong song
Ok, so I've been in Taiping three days now so here are my impressions and observations: * Hmmm...is Taiping worth a visit? Maybe. If you are a bit of a completist or fan of the particular history of the Straits area. I think Ipoh is marginally better and more interesting, but certainly both Ipoh and Taiping lose out to Georgetown. I am sucker for this type of town so a visit makes sense, but for the casual visitor, I don't know. * The Tauge (or Toge, as it's called in Indonesia) Chicken Rice at Pusat Makanan 3939 is very good and cheap. A complete meal set will set you back six Ringgit (SGD1.85). Eat your heart out Singapore. * Speaking of Tauge, foodies need to try out the Indonesian 'Soto Pekalongan' whose broth is based on 'tauco', fermented soya bean paste possibly pioneered by the Chinese. Pekalongan is a town on the central, northern coast of Java. * The Furama Hotel is a bit shabby and old in the tooth, but it is clean and affordable. The AC is cool and it is quiet. Not flash but it does the job. A big plus is that it's right behind the Public Lake Gardens. * Near the Furama is Rainy Corner, a bright, clean and cool restaurant where you can escape the crowds and heat. If you are looking to work on your laptop, this is a good place.

CK , perhaps you can check out another cafe at Spritzer Eco Park. The cafe is surrounded by green nature. It's in Taiping too.
Yeah I must check that out!
Nice film.... not many contents about Taiping in UA-cam.... thanks...
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi, just to check if there is any grab transport for me to travel around in taiping?
I’m pretty sure there are 🚙🚕🚗
Hi CK just wonder if you sang this interlude song?
I wish that was my voice 🎤
Both Ipoh and Taiping should apply for UNESCO Heritage Status!
Agree!
Nah. While interesting, they simply can't hold a candle to Georgetown or even Malaka. Sorry.
At 0:43, mention “1911, World War II…”, seems an error
Thanks for spotting this
its 3and a half hours drive not 2 and a half hours ya. unless u are driving 300kmh 😁😁
Oh yeah
Double Tap already closed down and renovation now ... Sad ... Monday Brew, Yinn's and Triple Shot are all closed ...
Really? Will check
👏👏👏👍
Thanks!
