Funny how all these distant cousins pop up whenever a movie comes out about one of America’s famous historical figures.
Finally a film that I can’t wait to see. A story that must be told. A message needed now as much as it was then.

😱🤩 Cannot believe that one of my favorite carols has had a movie made about it!! It often feels like almost no one remembers this song or appreciates its loveliness. The message of that last verse speaks to me in these divided times. Couldn't be a better time for this!

Just saw this in the theater today. It totally made my Christmas season complete. It's an amazing film, and I'm so glad that I now know about Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, because without this movie I'd never know anything about this incredible man. Phenomenal job on your first film, Sight and Sound. I was getting choked up and teary-eyed several times during the movie. Please thank everyone who contributed to this film with all their hard work and efforts. I rarely ever go to the theater over the last quite a number of years, because I'm sick of Hollywood's movies, but with this film being at my local theater, I had a great reason to go. Thank you for blessing my Christmas season.

We just saw this in the theater. AMAZING!!!! So well done-the story, the acting, the background music, the message, etc. I needed this today, as I’d been looking at too much on UA-cam about the state of the world, political strife, etc., and I felt “There is no peace on earth.” The movie made me realize that, when we focus on Christ, the wrong WILL fail and the right prevail, and one day there WILL be peace on earth. Keep making uplifting, amazing movies like this one. The world and we need it!! Thank you!!!
My wife and I saw this movie on our 40th Anniversary. The best Christmas movie I've seen in my 63.5 years of life. It is very well produced and the cast was awesome also and it's a great stroy
behind it all. A must see movie.
Faith, Family& God rules! God is not dead nor does he sleep. Bring your tissue, it brought me to tears...I just can't say enough about how awesome I thought this movie was. Well worth your time.
P.S. Also the lady who plays Fanny sings this carol " I Heard the Bells" here on youtube also....she has made it my favorite Christmas song of the year! She is so good, like the rest of them.!

He wrote "Évangéline: a tale of Acadie"...I'm acadian and it is one of the most beautiful poem story on my ancestors. I will be looking forward to see the film and learn more about this great poet.
Fantastic film. I took my family to see it and we all found it moving. I was really impressed by the cinematography and set design. The war scenes were well done too. All the scenes between Longfellow and his wife and the later scenes with his son really tugged at the heartstrings. I expect I will watch this movie as a Christmas tradition since it’s message about hope and faith and family we’re resonant and perfect for the holiday season.
This looks extremely well done! Can't wait!

I hopefully I can see it somewhere soon or just wait till it comes out on Blu-ray. This is one of my favorite Longfellow poems and I also love the song as well since it was written at the time of the Civil War. It's both touching and triumphant. It's words just touch your heart.
I enjoyed every minute of this movie! Thank you Sight and Sound and also for the "making of the movie" showing up at the end. A lot of people missed it because they left during the credits!

This is a really good movie.
We walked in the theater 5 minutes after the start time and the movie was already playing. It took me a minute to realize that there were no previews or adds and the movie already started.
I would recommend sitting through the end credits to see the *"behind the scenes"* part at the end.
In the behind the scenes part do they actually say Charles Dickenson wrote Christmas Carol and not Henry no talent Longfellow?

Longfellow wrote a carol called *"I heard the Bells on Christmas Day"* I think that is what it is referencing.
I would suggest that you google him and see the movie, maybe then you will have more appreciation for his work.
