- If you guys watch Boxyfresh or LDSlyver play sea of thieves on twitch you will see they had someone using speed hack cheat on them this past week. Here is a link to the clip where the cheaters teleported directly behind Boxyfresh with a powder keg.

In my my sea of theives clip the crew teleports behind me several times while fighting on the boat. I also show you my crewmates footage of the crew teleporting behind him and killing him in Sea of Thieves.

Scumbags... was solo slooping earlier, 1 guy that was miles away decides chasing me in his sloop, thought it was lucky that I saw him early so I dropped sails, angled them to catch the wind and haul ass.... how is it possible that he still manages to catch me up with ease whilst his sails remaining straight?(not catching the wind) he took 5 snipes which he hit 4 only because I managed to jump behind my cannonball barrels to get cover, he shot dead accurate chainshots successively with unreal reloading speeds, hit every part of my boat with 5 firebombs, somehow anchored me, raised my sails, direct hit me with a cannonball, took a blunderbuss to the face at pretty much point blank range as he tried boarding unsuccessfully, then sniped me twice whilst in the water without hesitation as I'm bobbing and weaving.... imagine all of this happening in the space of 1 and a half to 2 minutes max!... anybody cheating within games like this need their thumbs and index fingers clipped. Sad asf
I experienced something like that last night, checked the forums and its people sharing their experiences and the rest of the community saying there are no hackers and the people complaining just suck....

Yeah, that's almost 100% toxicity at it's highest level. The person who said you suck has cheats too, and they're just trying to troll you off the game.
Happens on the forums, in the game, on Twitch - everywhere, and other games as well.
They have to be a crack addict to not agree that they're cheating.

I also have recorded proof of something like this. My crew ship sank to a gally, the 3 of us respawned SEVERAL squares away on molten sands with NO ship. Not exactly proof... yet. Seconds after the last player of our brig crew spawned in, the whole gally crew dropped from the sky about the height of the gold hoarder tent and I was instantly dead along with my crew. I have recordings of the players actually dropping from above us. We have it from 2 players perspectives. Definitely my worst experience on the seas over my years of playing
this happened to me probably 20 minutes ago which led to me finding this video.

The other day I met a cheater that showed me his hacks. He was only using the fov increasing cheat and a weapon skin changer, but he could aimbot, see everything and everyone from across the map, free cam, it was nuts. I’m glad he wasn’t using it to its full potential, but sot has no anticheat and needs to work on this
Youre 100% right. Rare needs to work on it... im bet they implement simple anti-cheat soon.

@@SickStyleGaming they wont implement a simple ac since they already have it server side, certain aimbot etc get detected if there rotations arent coded right mainly really bad ones but yh, the only ac they would add would be big, but they wont do that not anytime soon atleast.
@@Unknown_Number you’re wrong, there isnt ANY server sided stuff. All bans are manual and they’ll HWID / License ban you if you’re a repeat offender
I'm not saying that cheating doesn't exist but everything these players did can be explained by stuff in the game.
The first clip there is bugs in the game that people call silent boarding where you ads at the ladder and it makes no noise when climbing up and he would have been close enough to his boat were a merm wouldn't have popped up so he could have swam out when you were driving close.
The second clip can be explained by the fact that they could probably see your rowboat easily because when you are far away the wave are flat so they will just see your rowboat way above the water because you could be on top of a wave with the rowboat but the water is flat on their screen because of render, the part in the water can be explained by that he was very close to his rowboat so they jumped in to see if he was swimming down or to the nearest island, I couldn't see their boat but if it was close a guy could have sword charged from the crows nest and he would have been out of your buddies line of sight and he could get deep in the water quickly from being in the crows nest or if they had a little bit of distance they could have seen that the rowboat stopped moving and could have shot out high of a cannon to see if they could spot you and they would land deep in the water and not be in your friends line of sight.
They could have been cheating but I'm pretty generous when it comes to calling cheats and not assuming players have them, most likely just a good crew imo.

I just was going with the ship and suddenly a ship appeared in the middle of the sea, it was very far away, and suddenly it appeared next to us,The player teleported to our ship and watched us shoot him and he was still alive
just reported 2 of them. One guy just appeared right on our ship while we were inn at plunder outpost we thought he was peaceful but when we checked he had actually took our cannonballs with storage chest(we were about to log out anyways) and used mermaid to teleport back to their ship. But there was no ship nearby in whole 360 degree draw distance. They were at reaper outpost !! You would ask "how did you know" because guys voice chat is kinda glitched so we could hear him even after he teleported with mermaid. Their voice chat went on at last seen location of character. So yeah they completely broke the game and I don't think they would be banned soon.

Rare doesn’t have an anti cheat. A lot of people are cheating currently. I don’t count 120 fov as a cheat tho but when those players swap off of it they do poorly at the game
Extra wide monitors default to and support 120 fov... if youre lucky enough to have one, more power to you I say. Just an opinion.
@@SickStyleGaming True Some monitors do come with 120 fov built in and Some with cross hairs also built in but unfortunately rare does count this as cheating but as long as you dont share your clips with people then there is no chance you can get banned for it

happend 2 times in 2 days, players teleporting on our ship, than we attack, they jump in the water and dissapear (teleport away)..
Its so hard to achieve tho.... after 10 minutes of trying I got a jump, but not nearly as long as yours, only like 20 meters....
we were doing a FOTD and a sloop with a cheater gave us headaches using ESP and aimbot, they were really shit at naval so we constantly sank them but they kept coming back. We ran out of supplies at some point and sank in the end, this really sucks. At some point he just shot my crewmate while having no weapon out, shit is ridiculous
Rare needs to deploy some unreal engine simple anti cheat.
I just had two people teleport onto my ship and steall all my good loot. Their ship was on the horrizon. I know this because one of the chests they stole had a world marker on it.
Happened to my crew. No ship in sight and got boarded out of nowhere. its real

I think there is a chance the implement some simple anticheat. Anticheat code is readily available for the unreal engine which sea of thieves was developed on. Some real simple anti cheat code could be implemented without much effort on their end. That will start the cat and mouse game between them and cheating players which Im afraid is a whole new can of worms.

@@SickStyleGaming I personally don't think sea of thieves is competent enough to add an anti cheat. What I mean is the game is so unstable that it wouldn't be able to tell other than having an anti cheat like valorant where they file check when booting up the game. When the better optimize the game or if they upgrade the the next unreal engine somehow I don't think they could detect cheats the way the game is set up.

I have a clip of a sloop speed hacking it looked like a UFO for how fast it was moving around lol it's insane I've never seen that before

For me i only have cheats for my end that dont do any of this bs but i only got it cus i got banned for a bs reason and it took me 5 minutes to dodge the ban bruh
I don't get why people get mad at people hacking in this game where there are no rules. I get maybe speed hacks and aimbot but other hacks like health indicators and chest finders should be allowed.
Tools, not rules. It means everyone has the same tools. Cheating and exploits ruin the game.

Coming with the new pvp mode there has been so many cheaters I've found teleporting and using esp and the ghost exploit to be invincible to drive my ship away :/

Ive seen it a couple other times as well.
I had 2 dudes hide under the fort, grab the key and teleport it to the arena. I could hear the splashing when they were sitting under the fort and saw the key went to the arena on the map after they disappeared. We went to the arena and they sniped us from the top while hot micing fortnight songs.
That sucks. Sorry man. It is a pirate game and I fully encourage down right scally wag behavior... but not cheating if thats what happened.

Ive heard the rumor that arena players are mad about arena being shut down and are trying to ruin adventure mode for everyone. I dont think its true... i dont blame arena players. I think new cheats have come out for SOT and typical gaming cheaters have discovered the new available cheats.
@@SickStyleGaming It's so hard to encounter them with their insane max range canon shots and snipes...Nowdays it kinda hard to do pvp + Most of them are very toxic bcz they think they are gods with their cheats..Rare should fix this asap...
@@luci-x8478 the cannon and sniper shots are because they are using a cheat called hit bot or aim assist. Ive only encountered it 2 times I can remember. Lots of times its just really good players and not cheating... but I def have seen it a couple times.
@@SickStyleGaming I do pvp more often..also 2000h +.. I can easily tell if they are good or using cheats🙂 Not everyone but we see atleast one per day..
@@luci-x8478 yeah if youve played that much then you Know for sure... you just get that 6th sense about how the pvp fight is progressing and can easily see the signs if youve got that amount of hours in the game.

Ia have more than 3k hours in this game, i can tell when there is a posibility for boarding, but there is no day i do not meet speed/teleport hackers in this game. Rare allow this to happen and just take a look how many free SoT cheats are out there working for years now. Pointless RARE job

I have around 4k and I've ran into maybe 1 group of people that I considered suspicious. There's no shot you have been running into that many cheaters. I don't like to be a contrarian but unless you have some proof, I'm going to have to say otherwise. I will say, my encounter was pretty recent and within the past month. What drives it further home, is the fact that a friend also came to me, talking about a completely unrelated incident in which she believes they were cheating. I've been playing pretty frequently for the past 2 years and this was the first time I've ever been on the fence.

@@IamBarry 3k myself and have ran into maybe 3 or 4 ''suspicious'' players, not even necessarily hacking. I think most of the people hackusating are just exaggerating or have selective memory, which in accordance with natural bias is normal for a functioning human brain so it makes sense people hackusate, inaccurate though it may be.
@SickStyle Gaming If you slow this video down and go to 00:45 you will see feet fly past your cannon. I believe its possible that guy just made a deck shot from a cannon.
Edit: Also, if you notice your buddy is rowing away from a skull fort, is it possible the guy who "appeared" from behind him made a cannon shot from the fort? If ya notice it looks like he is doing that glide when ya land in the water. Not saying the dude wasn't cheating but there are some other possibilities here to consider I think.
Its definitely possible. I was trying to keep the video short not to bore you guys. Where my footage starts was about 5 minutes into that fight and they had already pulled either 2 deck shots or 2 teleports already. They were not boarding by ladder or grabbing harpoon trick or anything like that. Did you watch the boxyfresh clip i left the link in the description. Guy teleports to him with a powder keg... Wild!!
@@SickStyleGaming I saw the Boxy clip. Again Im not saying that guy wasn't cheating but Boxy was at a skull fort and they weren't too far away for a keg play to happen and it did look fishy I agree. Like I said in another reply, I have had two different pirates suddenly appear behind me on our boat while helming a brig. No idea how they got there and to be honest it felt like they teleported. However, in fairness, Im slow to claim cheats without better evidence because my crew and I get accused often of cheating. False accusations can be terrible for someone without proof. Mostly we take it as a compliment.

I dont think cheating in SoT is very much of an issue in SoT because the cheats arn't game breaking and can pretty much easily be avoided

you are right and its one of the reasons I like sea so much, cheats can be overcome often in this game. But the speed hack is a real game changer. People teleporting directly to you ladder or anchor is gamebreaking. No amount of skill solves it.
Ehhhhhh it's hard to say that they are cheating. 1st clip could've been a silent board by aiming/holding sword block and then boarding. For the 2nd clip, it is possible that they could have seen you from that distance because of the rowboat and then sailed to you. For the player who came out of nowhere, judging by when he first appears, it looks like he sword lunged right from his boat and luckily landed next to your crewmmate. Not trying to say it's not possible they were cheating. Just pointing out things after 2k+ hours on the seas 🤣

Idk man, seemed like unfortunate luck. Im not saying your wrong but people have cried wolf about hacks when losing and it happens so much that its just not believable anymore when someone says someone's hacking. There's a good explanation for everything that happened in this video that might have looked suspicious. Im not saying your right or wrong, im just explaining my outlook.

Hes not... thats just his recording software that sucks. 120 fov is supported by extra wide monitors as well. If youre lucky enough to afford an ex wide monitor for power to yah with the 120 fov... you paid for the monitor you should get to use it
