I think the most bad ass about this jump was when he taped he's rearbrake when he had spotted the landing to slow the rotation a bit, absolutely 100 % dialed in.

This is his ONLY jump known, and 70 ft. shy of Knievel's jump of Caesars. Increased safety measures and heightened ramps, not fair to put Metzger in Knievel's league, as my stepdad said. I put my stepdad's words over arrogant smack anyday. Evel Knievel may have missed as many jumps as he made, but he had guts and he lived a lot longer than most people expected him to live.
Mike is an amazing down to earth guy, I have met the guy personally! He has set the standard in FMX. He is an inspiration to us all for his hard work and determination to be the best at whatever we put our minds to. Monster is a sh$ty company and screwed him out of his contract right after this event so they wouldnt have to pay him! DO NOT BUY MONSTER crappy drinks! They should be put out of business for screwing good people!

But evel didn't have computers to dial it in perfect,he just went for it,plus he was on a Harley,now when Robbie jumped it,it was only cool because that's evel's son,he was on something that was made for this kinda long jump.When this guy back flipped over it to me it was kinda disrespect to evel,no matter if u back flip over it or not,it's still not as impressive as evel trying it on a motorcycle that wasn't meant for jumping sorry just my opinion
Oh of course this is great ,now for those who know most but not all these bikes today are Extremely light 200 to 230 pounds on Avg so no comparison to past ,Evel Knievel was the king of his time no question about it 470 lb Harley Sportster bike and before that Triumphs no dirt hills to land on ,No Checking or planning ahead on the computers ,it was done by seat of your pants ,no speedometer but by feel As Knievel and his Mechanic said 140 to 150 feet was his best ,kings Island October 25 th 1975 Long Live The king

Then he set another record 125 feet 40ft in the air on a runway ramp 15 feet off the ground with no exit run off in case of a bike malfunction and u old fukrs still run your mouths. Uh huh, When ESPN admitted to increased safety maseures AND this is the ONLY jump on his record. My stepfather did sell a motorcycle shop, where he would repair wreched bikes in and where I, as a teenager, worked part time as a courtesy clerk. This one has not bested the Knievels nor has he done any other noteworthy jumps, not to mention that this one was a different angle than the success of Robbie Knievel and the takeoff ramp was twice the height. So I ain't smoking.

@brerrsir Robbies was cool but all he did was just jump, as where Mike Metzger Back flipped over the Fountians. So I think Metz jump was much more impressives. Now if someone where to try it again they might double backflip it or even host a whole freestyle contest over it.
There were motocross bikes back then, Evel Knievel chose to use a 2-ton Harley. Even when I was watching him as a kid, I asked my dad why doesn't he use a motocross bike. My dad just Shrugged his shoulders.
