Youth with You is just a normal tv shows, its reputation is not as high as 快乐大本营，天天向上，跑男， these kind of long time pop show, 青春有你 Youth with You got cancelled for some reasons I don't know, but I think if the chinese aduience want it back on air so bad, then maybe next year it will come back, it got cancelled all of a sudden maybe just be low-key, don't bother anyone for a while, in Chinese we call it 避风头，风头一过，啥事都好说。
I was actually did some research about Youth With You S3 because even though YWYS3 was released 3 years ago, I just watched it within this week and I just finished it minutes ago. The reason why I did some research of YWYS3 is because I keep seeing "controversy" word in the comments both here in UA-cam and iQIYI. And during my research, I ended up in "FANDOM" website. There, I found out that there'll be a new season....sorta. It's called "Youth With You International". At first, I didn't believe it. I had trust issue that time. But when I tried to search it here in UA-cam, they released a trailer on April 24, 2024 in iQIYI's channel. It has the verification-thingy so I guess this is legit. I was actually shock that there'll be a new season. The release of the first episode is still unknown, or maybe I need to go to WEIBO? Pfft. Anyway, I'm not sure about this one. It's like, I have trust issues with this....... Yeah.
I was following this show so hard and when the final was cancelled I felt so heartbroken. Now, all I can think of is all the guys who spent months and months training and being scrutinised by the public that had their dreams shattered... Like, shows like this are kinda unethical in what they put the participants through, and to think that it was all for basically nothing?? I hope the lads I supported are doing well... Meanwhile, now finally catching up on a competitor show 创! Liking it a lot and it's good to know it actually finishes (no one spoil it for me)
I also hope everyone who was on it is doing well 🥲 I keep up with some of them on douyin but I really want to see some music and success for some of them
i'm genuinely so mad about what happened....all of the other trainnees of youth with you worked so hard, for pretty much nothing. they "debuted" but don't even have a music video or real group activities. and now because of that scandal by tonys family, idol shows are largely not gonna happen anymore at all...and those shows were the one path that gave chances to talented young people to enter the industry within China through the public supporting them. now only people who are rich enough to get into companies through connections, or who are rich enough to go train in south korea will have a good chance to that. all because of something one family did, i feel so bad for everyone else. tony got no fault but i also don't feel that sorry for him, his family is very well off so he won't have any problem pursuing his career somewhere else, like in south korea again for example

This was really interesting. I've never even heard of that show but it would have been great to see. Being up here in Alaska, I can't find much Asian content on tv. Was this in UA-cam as well? I just started the qiyi channel but haven't seen everything it offers.
Just a few comments/questions mostly out of curiosity… a) Many Chinese are lactose intolerance. I agree with you, what were they thinking! LOL! b) Why would a show revolve around just 1 person? There are so many talented folks like Charlie Zhou Shen who’s just more than a pretty face. So the cancellation does not make sense. Also I am sorry about the birthday disappointment. c) What motivates you to learn Mandarin and how do you develop your love for the culture? d) I moved from Alberta to Ontario in my 30s so I know Alberta could be xenophobic. It seems like when someone involved in a huge dangerous scandal. Not only himself/herself will be affected but all the people associated with him /her In his previous career wether tv show, music. Example gongjun and yang yang we won't be able to see their best dramas love 02,world of honor. Because in those drama there is Zheng shuang and zhang ... (Of Japanese incident). And yes I can't watch chuang 2020 episode 3,4 because they were deleted coz of Kris wu had appearance scenes in them 🙃. Same goes for ywy3 Lisa, and all those trainee their journey were on life support after the incident. 😔. I'm not against cancel culture but I feel sometimes it's effect goes extreme even to affect those who are not accomplice . Maybe I'm just being naive 🚶. (๑´̥̥̥>ω
The sponsors milk barely has any real milk in it and it basically is a beverage with lots of sugars and artificial flavors… It was sad to see that many ppl were blaming the "crazy" fans but it's actually those who made the stupid voting rules that should be blamed more. They are also the ones who made money from the fans.
I agree that the rules were the problem 🧐 people do what they can to get what they want … in this case the fans took advantage of the rules to get what they want - voting for their faves. If the rules were different, that whole situation could be avoided!

tony's parent's scandal are proven false according to a Chinese police investigation 2 years ago and the rumor spreader also admitted he/she spread a false rumor
