    Take it from a long-time shade tree mechanic/detailer/DIY dude. You did an excellent job, my friend. I know you are proud of your work and you should be. Nice job editing your video, as well.
    PS. Pick up a paper bag filter for your shop vacuum. It makes a huge difference in maintaining a clean filter and keeping the inside of your vacuum clean.

    I used cerakote plastic restorer on some of my plastics. It really does bring back the color for a while but with a high gloss. I used it on some exterior plastics and very selectively on the interior. It’s great stuff but it’s not for every plastic because of the gloss.

      Cool! I’ve had some pretty good results with using ceramic coating on certain plastic trims. It lasts long too

    I know this video is old, but I'll comment anyway. I just replaced my headliner yesterday, and I had gotten one from a ranger that didn't have suicide doors, and mine does, so I just cut it a bit, and shaped it to fit. The trim covers the rough edges, and no one would be able to tell the difference if they didn't know. Just a thought for next time you pull the wrong liner! 😉

    I forgot what year ranger is that I have a 2008 I was wondering did you ever have an erratic fuel gauge? I had my fuel pump changed and all that and the fuel regulator but my gas gauge isn’t totally accurate doesn’t move or fluctuate a lot but it’s not giving me an accurate reading. Is there any help you can give me with that, also I’m noise in the front end it’s not my brake pad, but it’s on the one side every time I hit the brakes. I get some kind of weird noise, but it’s not the brake pad or rotors or anything like that. Is there any help you can give me with that thanks again for your video, I think the car my car is good and so is yours for the right thing when they made that I don’t think the new ones are good they’re bigger but I don’t think there is good. I wish you a lot of luck with that. You did a great job.

    Most all rangers i have seen has a bedliner from factory

    • @danbasta3677
      @danbasta3677 Місяць тому

      Berliners are much, however I've also seen bedliners entrap moisture and debris underneath them. Better to scrap the bed down and paint on a bedliner. I'm kinda funny though, I also paint the underside of my car and truck with black rust olem paint to keep the frame, floorboards, chassis and the underside of the bed protected from road salts and chemicals put on roads to melt snow and ice. It helps to, by the way.

    OK, here it goes. The fender flairs, side mirriors, door handles and the dashboard and inside door outer coverings whare the window crank is at, use baby oil on it. Seriously! If your like me at all and you wax your vehicles with car wax, none of this cheap spray on wipe off so called wax that's nothing but windex in a bottle, you get wax on those areas alone unintentionally. Baby oil will lift that wax off of the serface, number one and number two, baby oil will keep that looking black and new looking and help it from fading away from the suns ultraviolet rays. Actually, fender flairs shouldn't even be on this truck as fender flairs hold moisture, rotting the fenders and the bed out, I would take them completely off, your better off not having them as opposed to having them.

    • @DmDetails
      @DmDetails  2 місяці тому

      Thanks for the tips! I haven’t tried that

    • @danbasta3677
      @danbasta3677 Місяць тому

      @@DmDetailsFirst off, get a can of car wax. Car wax will last you much more longer than that spray on wipe off windex stuff that claims to be wax, BULLCOOKIES! all it is is windex in a bottle, scrap it. When you wax your truck with car wax, getting wax in the black areas such as door handles, etc, can and does certainly happen. That's whare baby oil comes into the picture. Use your baby oil to remove the over waxing in that area, and on top of that, it will look bran new! Even BETTER than armour all and will last you much longer to. I do it all the time on my Ford Focus and it helps a great, GREAT deal to keep my car looking young. I even use baby oil on my dashboard and side trim inside my car to to keep it looking great to, and it works to, real well!

    Ok a pet peave i keep seeing in alot of these kinds of so called restoration/restoration/vehicle reveiw videos here on you tube!!!!!!! And yes I freaking respond with this type of comment and request of everyone posting these types of videos on you tube because when I was growing up watching motor trend and course power TV or trucks or any vehicle reveiw TV shows in my younger days!!!!! They all back then knew what every vehicles proper designation was and refered to each vehicles designation as should be done when refering to or talking a out the vehicles they were either working on or doing a reveiw of back then!!!!! Ok let's get to vehicle designations which are seperate and not equal because if you're going to be that moron that refers to an obvious pick truck as a car start using the generic term for everything with a freaking engine and tires on it which happens to be vehicle!!!!!! Ok anything with an open cargo area in the back that can have a topper or tanno cover to lock items up and that cargo area has been named a bed this particular vehicles designation is a freaking pickup truck not a car! Now for the vehicle that has alot of factory cargo area built inclosed which contractors all across america use daily and locks away everything in its inside and can be converted into a stealth camper which it's designation is and has always been a van which can be mini or full sized, again still never called a damn car!!!!! Then there's another vehicle with a good amount of inside space and cargo space but typically with more ground clearance then vans and actual cars and can tow almost as much as pickup trucks and this vehicles designation has always been a sport utility vehicle or SUV for short and this one actually has the damn word vehicle in its damn designatio!!!!! Then bringing up the rear here people the only motor vehicle you should ever refer to as a car is an actual car vehicles such as Ford fusions, Toyota cameras and corolla, Ford crown Victoria's Nissan altimas and sentra's, Kia optima's and forte!!!!!! So to this videos poster your fird ranger is a small pickup truck not a car!!!!!!!
