This is the content we needed in 2020. Please have a physical release. We finally live in a timeline where Taiko games get consistently localised.
cosmicatwalk The tweet on Bandai Namco’s Twitter implies that it’s a digital only release unfortunately. Still pretty great news none the less.
@@Nint3ndoFan Oh well, you can't win 'em all. I was planning to buy the game either way; I just prefer physical releases when I can get them.
Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum & Fun for Nintendo Switch was released physically and digitally in UK, Europe & Japan. The US, however, was released digitally.
EDIT: My bad. It only releases physically in UK & Europe. However, digital releases are still coming.
@@johnguevarra5832 Where I'm from we got Drum & Fun physically (drum controller and all) but the Bandai Namco twitter for both UK and EU only mentions this game digitally right now.
If you're interested in these games, buy the original digitally. It usually goes on sale for 75% off or for $20. For the drums you'll need to import them.
Honestly, this was the only announcement I genuinely enjoyed.

Bandai created taiko and its had reference appearance in some games such as mario kart so it could be possible if they do a fighter pass 3 or maybe in 2

@@chriskendall1619 it's just called Rhythm Heaven Reanimated. It's about 15 minutes long, came out a few days ago, and had been in the works for at least a year now.

Back in the day I was so devastated that Taiko no tatsujin RPGs haven't ever been released in the West and I couldn't even play these two in Japanese because of the 3ds region lock

Fellas, hear me out. Namco Bandai is starting to listen to the old school Namco fans.
We've seen so many anime games that, after a long long LONG time of many anime games (with some good and some bad), theyre giving us what many considered what was missing in the Namco library.
Mr Driller Drill Land was a start, now this, this makes me feel better after hating Bamco for so dang long due to them forgetting their older ips (Mr Driller, Katamari Damacy, Taiko Drum) in favor of just anime games (One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, Black Clover, etc;).
It looks like theyre getting back on that track.

I still need the drums but they are so expensive. Bought the one they have on the eshop when it was on sale for like 12$ but I don’t want to spend 100$ for the drums even though I like the game 😹
I feel this is my soul, I did the same thing but I really cannot afford the drums right now either lol

Game is way more fun with drums, but definitely easier to play just with buttons as you can spam crazy fast drum rolls etc.
If you buy from Japanese Amazon it's only $63 plus tax and import stuff I think

OMG I can't believe I just find this release in February 2021!!! I played the RPGs on the DS years ago, and I tried my best to play it guessing every option because I can't read Japanese xDD, I absolutely adore this game!

I loved playing these games on my 3ds and now I can understand what is happening
This made me so happy, i already have 300 hours on the switch ver and over 100 each on the ds games (not the rpg ones) i mean i cannot even import those as the region lock...now that its also translated i can enjoy this as intended and 130 songs? thats a lot! not as much as fully decked out drum and fun and the ps4 with all dlc but thats a very good amount.

If the 4 rhythm games that have appeared on the nintendo direct partner showcases (unless you count just dance, which I think is a question that needs to be asked) this is the most appealing one. Hope it supports the drum controller
