Pack-ice killer whales are highly social creatures, communicating through various vocalizations like pulsed calls and whistles. For the first time, researchers have recorded these vocalizations and made surprising discoveries about their behavior.

What a beautiful sound and a beautiful sight.
I've been craving some good, non-sensationalised animal documentaries lately, and ended up seeking out PBS for it. Imagine my joy when I saw that the two most recent uploads on this channel are in fact about not only my favourite wild animal, but one of my favourite ecotypes of them! Pack ice orcas are so fascinating, and so striking in their appearance
I think these uys and sloths are just the most beautiful things ever
