When you make a pendant, you make half of it flat so it sits comfortably on your chest without poking you. This explains why the wings are in line with the bottom.
You know, one thing I think is something we have to accept is that sometimes people of a craft will just make some weird thing that serves no purpose but think is neat is not just something you see online but as been happening as long as there have been crafts for people to be skilled in.
Thank you very much for taking a significant portion of your time to produce educational and entertaining media like this. You are the true definition of a historian, shining light on topics most people don't even know. Keep up the phenomenal work!!!
I think the saddest part of the whole Bosnian Pyramid thing is *not* that it's a blatant business venture exploiting the environment and real archaeological sites, but the fact that local government is fully supporting what is essentially some guy's pseudoscientific delusions instead of legitimate scientific research
The loss of craftsman trades being replaced with mass produced industry has, in my opinion, destroyed the public's perception of what can truly be achieved by a highly skilled artisan. If they see any well crafted artifact, they assume it has to have been machined because how wise could they have made it. When really, it's just the product of a highly skilled craftsman. I don't know how true it is, but I've heard that medieval tailors could achieve stitch work rivaling or exceeding modern sewing machines. Because it's literally all they ever did and they got really good at it
Honestly, artifacts with bunch of animals mixed together made a lot of sense when you consider even now we still love to make fictional creatures by combining different parts of animals. Rather than a proof of alien tech or a proof that the ancient people have those weird animals it's more of the proof that we are still the same human with the same brain as thousands of years ago. It's just that we have more knowledge and better system to transfer knowledge now.
Interpreting weird figures, sculptures, drawings as "definitely aliens" is wild. Is it that crazy that they just made shit up? We still do that all the time
Also most images on the internet of the disc are actually a reconstruction. I noticed this when I was in the Petrie museum in London and saw the original which is in pieces.
If you cover the Roman Shipwreck in Rio de Janeiro, you could use that opportunity to talk about the Pedra da Gávea inscriptions in the same place too, which supposedly indicated the tomb of a phoenician king of Tyre from the 800's BC, with the mountain itself being a sculpture of his face Even the kings of Portugal and both emperors of Brazil looked into that stuff, it's pretty wacky and kinda silly imo, but a lovely story nonetheless
Actually just looked at it further and it seems like the roman amphoarae were first thought to be phoenician and related to all this mountain stuff, so both their stories actually interact with eachother lmao

I am so happy this video was suggested to me by the algorithm. I am going to binge watch all your vids for sure. Ancient history is so fascinating, and you sound like you know what you are talking about and enthusiastic too! much better than some other channels which are very monotone. Good work dude.
Bro, I found your channel like, 3 days ago, trough the first part of this series, I took a long time to finish the two first parts because I searched a lot about each one of the items you're presenting (Minus the crystals Skulls and the antikythera and the Mexican Aliens, for obvious reasons), and then after I go to sleep I see that you posted the THIRD PART! This COINCIDENCE made my day already! lol. Thanks for the videos! They're great! - From someone that really loves history and wants to become an archeologist.
As soon as a new video of yours comes out, I immediately watch it because I already know that it will be incredibly interesting and engaging, just as your passion for history is admirable!
nice to see ancient arquitects mentioned, shame that unchartedX wasnt mentioned on the vases, ben is one of the few that went the deepest regarding those early dynastic vases.
FYI it's pronounced "GREY-wack-iee" not "grey-wack" (which sound hilarious btw!!). We have a tonne of it here in New Zealand! My dad's a geologist (technically a vulcanologist?) so he'd never forgive me if I let that one slide, sorry... Fantastic breakdown, as always! I always look forwards to these videos and was thrilled to see such a new video pop up into my recommended!
I really like that you are clear minded when it comes to this cool stuff. I have been burned out by people saying the pyramids were used to change human DNA and or a power plant.
I like the idea that the Samu Disc is just a lazy susan he really liked and brought out for his dinner parties, and now thousands of years later conspiracy theorists are trying to explain it as lost advanced technology.
The alabaster vases are easily explained by the illustrations... the granite ones and the sabu disk though...bro, look into it more. The idiots saying it had to be cnc are idiots, but there's some cutting method we're missing here
Woah I might have to back and visit that quest. In FFXIV Online, after a series of quests you're given a reward of a little minion that follows you around called 'Golden Dhyata' and it's very obviously based off Quimbaya Planes! It's in game description say it's an ancient artifact believed to have been created in the likeness of a catfish. The area in game it's from is very Indian/South Asian inspired. Really neat to know what they based it off!
You’re actually my favorite history UA-camr and this is my single favorite historical series on UA-cam. Keep up the outstanding work.

Dont put your damned logic into crackpot delusions, that destroys all the fun 😂
When you said the Bosnian pyramid guy was an industrialist from Texas everything fell into place. No one else would dare to dream that big.

As someone once said many such cases
Only in bosnia mate, only in bosnia...
To be fair with Bosnia's recent history they don't have a whole lot to go on besides that.
