I remember getting ever so slightly teary eyed at the end of OG Sun, with that ending, then all the scrolling credit photos. (They removed in Ultra, which sucked.) If they at least try to make a decent story, I can see someone more emotional crying at the end.

Its strange how the Pokemon company has no issue hiring voice actors for a mobile game like Pokemon Masters Ex and yet are stingy when it comes to their main games.

I hate that, as you had mentioned, there would be some nice voice acting in the trailers and then they just strip it all a way. That thing they did for Iona is now like Piers V2.

Probably a time thing if ANYTHING. But if it's not a time thing, then I have no idea what it could be
I want them to AT LEAST add sounds like grunts, laughs, screams, etc. That way they don't have to have voices for multiple languages. Silence with all that animation is just awkward.

@shofu on this point, it's probably bc they put these games out every year, and also for such a global audience that it would be even more difficult to constantly get voice work for so many different regions. So another byproduct of them rushing these games out so often. Of course the point on it being hard to coordinate voice work across multiple regions doesn't really apply if they just did stuff like grunts or laughs like in most Zelda games. Legends had a hint of that but it was so minor I barely even consider that game to have voice acting

What makes tera water belibolt so good? Wouldn't you just run tera flying for ground type immunity or is there an advantage to water types I'm missing?
@@brycecrispy Since Water only has two weaknesses in Electric and Grass it will force the opponent to fire off either one of those moves, meaning Bellibolt has a higher chance getting its ability triggered
@@MaahirMomtaz12 That's actually a really smart feint, thx for the explanation, though unless it has some really good stats, I feel like you would rather tera other mons since you only get one per battle like tera fire torkal for 2x stab + drought + eruption, or tera electric rotom for 2x stab thunderbolt and 0 weaknesses
@@MaahirMomtaz12 I guess I'm still confused. It's ability isn't like lightning rod, it's just when it gets hit by a move (regardless of type) the next electric attack is stronger. Not sure how getting hit by grass or electric moves would make it better but I could be misunderstanding.
When queenly majesty was revealed they used the exact same wording as they did here with armour tail. "Some Tsareena have the Queenly Majesty Ability, which no other Pokémon has previously had. The effects of Queenly Majesty are so intimidating that it prevents opponents from using priority moves."

The worst part is the battle animations look exactly the same as they did 10 years ago. We still don’t get battle revolution animations where we actually see the Pokémon hit the other, it’s just some awkward movement and then we see the other Pokémon lose health

I liked the legend arceus animations more, some where wonky but I think they were decent enough.
the problem with xd animations is that they took forever and dragged out too much, I personally prefer fast spaced battles more

Maybe I'm just soft, but I cried when Gladion smiled, during the battle with Kukui, and the end of Sun/Moon. The only time I've ever cried for a Pokémon game. I'm not saying I won't, but it's extremely difficult for Scarlet/Violet to do the same. I look forward to see it try though. Also, It literally makes no sense for them to not add voice acted cutscenes to the game. Pokémon fans have wanted it for years. Even Legend of Zelda has voice acting nowadays. There's nothing stopping them from keeping the MC silent and giving everyone else a VA.
that was my first thought, I think one of the only times I teared up at a main series game was during sun ND moons ending. I have a soft spot for gen 7, and that along with the amazing kukui battle with one of my favorite final boss themes in the series combined into happy tears finishing the game lmao

The 'Handheld' roots run a little too strong at Gamefreak. They're very slowly realizing developing for a console takes a different skillset. Maybe some day they'll actually have some sound engineers and such so we can get voiced NPCs etc.
I really don't think a lack of voice acting has anything to do with skill, they aren't so incompetent that they aren't capable of adequately implementing a feature that's been in games since the 90s lmao. it's almost certainly just a matter of the devs feeling like voice acting isnt necessary enough to spend money on it lol

For a guy who pretty much moved regular content to twitch despite starting from youtube, I wish he at least had a vod channel and we didn't have to rely on random youtube channels to upload snippets of streams every now and then. The vod experience on twitch is still horrible compared to youtube to this day, and after a couple months, if he doesn't highlight it, the vods disappear forever. Unforfunate

Cud Chew for the most part sounds like a worse Ripen, but berries whose effects only last a single turn like Custap Berry sound like they'll synergize well.
The life force sapping is similar to Litwick.
In terms of your statement about the game's ending making someone cry, it might be possible. There have been occasions throughout the years where the Pokemon Anime has produced episodes that were tear jerkers in one way or another. If by chance the game has a well written story with good & wholesome conclusion, it could happen. But I'll wait until the game comes out to see for myself.

I bet, that Armor Tail will work like Queenly Magisty, as a Armor protects. There is no reason why it should stop Protect or Priority Heal Pulse on a Teammember in DoubleBattles from working.
I'm excited about Bellibolt, I think if its stats aren't ass then Electromorphosis has some cool potential. I'm actually hoping it's slow and bulky so it'll be able to tank hits and then fire back charged up electric type moves.
I also think in VGC or doubles it could be really cool to pair it with a pokemon like Raichu with Lightning Rod. You could, theoretically, hit Bellibolt with Raichu and activate your own Electromorphosis, then Discharge with Bellibolt to hit the two opponents and boost Raichu's Sp Attack with Lightning Rod. Idk, it gets walled by ground types but I think that could be fun. Just excited to think what we can do with these new mons and abilities.
I aint finish the video yet but I pray the game has a good battle timer.
