Appreciate the topic, it's nice to see that other brands are expanding on the use and features of the crossbar lock. XL Django is worth a closer look👀🥂
Great video. Vosteed is absolutely killing it and my carbon fiber mini nightshade might be my absolute top EDC knife taking everything including blade/handle ratio, legality in my area, size, weight and value for money into account. Also, the Microtech has been calling to me since Mike first showed it. I wish they had a version that was legal to carry in my area, but I'll probably still end up getting one at some point. I can't carry 2/3rds of the knives I own legally, anyway, so what's one more?
I don't know why Benchmade insists on only making Axis lock folders. It took them well over 25 YEARS just to start improving on it going from a round wire to a flat. Benchmade was at its best when they did a variation of locks back in the 90s and early 2000s. Axis locks, Liner locks, Backlocks, blades with thumbstuds, spydie holes, etc. And this is why Spyderco has left Benchmade in the dirt. It's like Benchmade is stuck at the sand pit in kindergarten, while Spyderco has graduated university. Not saying Spyderco is perfect, but when it comes to innovation and variety Spyderco is MILES ahead.
