Cari, when you was at the photos museum, at around the 8:04 mark in this video, there is a photo of an elderly man riding a merry go round. This photo spoke to me so much that I was instantly in tears. The joy on his face was so wonderful. I am 76 years old and I can so relate to his joy of doing something that brings such happiness. My question is if the photo has a name, if prints might be for sale? How would I find out. I would love to own a copy of this photo. Thank you for any info you can give me and also for the wonderful content you continuously give us. I especially love the slow laid back vlogs, the easy day do nothing kind, are so nice to watch. Love from Kentucky.

@@조예솔-t6g Thank you so very much and for the English translation. I have tried so hard to learn some Korean but this old mind won't retain it anymore. I am a huge BTS ARMY for many years, so anything related to the Korean culture fascinates me. I have learned so much about the country through BTS and the searching I've done to be able to understand them and where they come from. Great group of men who are so under appreciated by my "slow to accept difference" country.

Hi, Cari san! I'm a 24 year old Japanese woman. Your attitude to study Japanese is very fantastic! I also study English by watching your videos. I will follow your efforts. がんばりましょう☺
I love old korean photos… it’s so fascinating to me because i feel like most of my mental images of korean history are romanticized versions from pop culture, dramas/tv, etc… and comparing what is represented in photography vs contemporary representation is so so interesting. Will definitely check out the museum in samcheong
Hi Cari! Probably u don't remember but a few days ago i commented about the colleges application and what you said to me really help, and now i got in to the college i wanted! I just wanted to say thank you for being so sweet, and for the love that you put in your videos 💗
I was just in seoul, visiting all the art galleries and museums. I love that there are literally so many sprawled across the whole city. Can't wait to go back and explore more! And loooove Osulloc~
I remember when I first got into Kpop in Grade 10, my friend showed me how to write the Korean alphabet, and for the rest of my high school career my notes would be filled with doodles of me practicing Korean by writing certain words and Kpop idols’ names 😂 so your method of remembering Japanese is so real LOL
first of all, you always catch me mid crocheting every time you post, so love doing it together! and also, the view from standing in the front of the bus makes me miss how quickly i would reach all of my destinations while living in korea, the drivers are unhinged (sometimes. most of the times)

The items in the yarn store were so well crafted. I love it. Your bonnet is super cute. I love a good soup. The photography exhibit was thought provoking and emotive, and the Monet exhibit was beautiful. You are the queen of quaint cafes and hidden gems. I love my Sunday morning Korea adventures with you. My favourite weekend ritual! Now I want a bonnet but l‘m afraid I‘m too impatient for crocheting. Trying to learn how to knit was a desaster 🙈
My hands hurt a lot too when I started crocheting but I saw somewhere that holding the needles in an ergonomic and comfortable way is super important and will prevent a lot of future problems, so I trained myself to relax my shoulders and modify my grip. It’s frustrating at first because you keep holding it the painful way without noticing but you get used to it! Also, sorry if you already knew this and you just prefer to do it that way but when you get that first yarn end if you stick your hand in the middle of the skein/ball and try to fish for the end that’s in there it comes out a lot easier while you work (except when you get the dreaded “yarn vomit” 😂).
Hi Cari :) I love all your visits to the galleries, the inspire me so much to explore museums and exhibitions near me! However I have problems finding information on ongoing exhibitions and such. How do you find those little gems of art? Is there a website or do you see them while walking around town? Thank you so much 💕
oh yeah... i heard the alarm in a vlog.... holy yikes!!! 👀 it's a scary sound haha on one hand it think its really cool they do it, but on the other........it almost feels like a way to keep the people in constant state of fear😭 and you can't even CHOOSE yourself if you want it or not. hope you stay free from stress. breathe in , breathe out💕 i hope you're doing well. i really like you vlogs. and the peaks into korea. and of course, your lovely personality. you're a sweetheart. sending you hugs from gloomy denmark 💕
I live in Goyang-si and was woken by that and freaked OUT. It was the first time I heard that type of alarm but it freaked me out. I thought I might have to go to a shelter or something until I read the alert!! 😂😂
Monet exhibit!! I went recently to one in Vienna, but Vienna at least didn't use free music^^; They used famous classical pieces like parts of Bolero etc. And I have to sadly agree that it also wasn't worth the money we paid (around 33000 won). Mentioning BTS I just remembered - apparently their old dorm is now a cafe/bakery? Maybe worth a visit? :D
its the best because you're just talking to yourself, or whoever you imagine will watch in the future hahah maybe just start filming just for you as a person diary until you get comfortable enough to share with others/get used to filming?
love your bonnet....I'm a ginger too, so the color is ours! if you extend the width of the straps by adding several rows starting at the corner of the face, it will pull closer to your face and fit a little snugger when tied....if you have more yarn. I look forward to your next trip....lovely views and footage this time....with the exception of electric and phone wires that are my pet peeve about the quaint locations....besides looking dangerous, they look, I don't know....are you use to them by now? Sounds like our interest in Kpop started about the same time. My first introduction was Super Junior....imagine having to learn all those names and faces :). I enjoyed the trips through the museums and cafes....all those desserts look so delicious...I'd gain so much more weight! Sorry the air is so bad outside. I imagine it must get trapped inside as well? Have a wonderful day and thank you.
thank you!! and yes i learned my first korean words from whatever weird science show super junior did that someone uploaded and subtitled on youtube hahahah
Agreed - anything under 5.0 earthquake is not worth getting out of bed for unless you happen to be right above the epicenter. We had a 4.2 earthquake in NoCal as few days ago and frankly did not cause a blip. Doubt most people even knew it happened. BTW when is the air quality better (season wise) in Seoul?
I’d love to show you around some places in Kyoto when you’re in Japan if you need a guide! I’ve lived here for over four years (technically over five but not consecutively) and I know some super cute more hidden away places 😌☺️ As for Japanese, I used flash card apps for learning hiragana and katakana as well as writing. Maybe you already know these but these are some helpful phrases I think! すみません = excuse me, I’m sorry, and occasionally can mean thank you. “__” はいくらですか? = how much is “blank”? “__”はどこですか? = where is “blank”? “__”はありますか? = do you have “blank”?

and you can't even CHOOSE yourself if you want it or not.
hope you stay free from stress. breathe in , breathe out💕
i hope you're doing well. i really like you vlogs. and the peaks into korea.
and of course, your lovely personality. you're a sweetheart.
sending you hugs from gloomy denmark 💕
Sending you hugs too 💘
캐리님 설 잘보내세요❤
🐇🤍 새해 복 많이 받으세요!!
So beautiful 🥺💌

I live in Goyang-si and was woken by that and freaked OUT. It was the first time I heard that type of alarm but it freaked me out. I thought I might have to go to a shelter or something until I read the alert!! 😂😂
right?! its absolutely a 'run for cover, death imminent' sound hahah
These videos always make me want to visit Korea, cafes look so cosy like in Taiwan! Are they expensive and is it expensive to visit Korea?
Monet exhibit!! I went recently to one in Vienna, but Vienna at least didn't use free music^^; They used famous classical pieces like parts of Bolero etc. And I have to sadly agree that it also wasn't worth the money we paid (around 33000 won). Mentioning BTS I just remembered - apparently their old dorm is now a cafe/bakery? Maybe worth a visit? :D
Love this vlog, Cari!! 😍💗 I've been meaning to start Alice in Borderland for a while now haha, happy to see that you're also watching it! 😊
its gorey so beware but i liked it!
22:40 Cari, this is not a spam l swear lol I just love all your nail polish colors!! What is this color? Is it Essie’s penny talk?
OMG I laughed so hard when you said "Please don't wake me up... for a 4.0" 🙄 I'm from Cali too and I totally get it. It's all about perspective lol
If that earthquake doesnt wake me up, then dont send me an alert to wake me up 😂
If you wanted, I'd love to watch a video about skin care treatments you've received! (in Korea or outside)
I get one maybe every other year so its not much hahah I’ve had a micro needling, a led light “laser” and aqua peel!
my weekly sign to get ready for bed lol
hope you‘re having a good lunar new year ❤🐰
hahah! and happy lunar new year to you!
hi cari. any tips to anyone who's very introverted but really wants to start vlogging/creating good memories? love your videos to death.
its the best because you're just talking to yourself, or whoever you imagine will watch in the future hahah maybe just start filming just for you as a person diary until you get comfortable enough to share with others/get used to filming?
Wow, Hi~! ❤ I'm Korean. It's so nice to see Korea here. There are many beautiful places, so I hope you can enjoy it.
Thank you!!
The exhibit😍
Great video! from Canada 🇨🇦
❤ thank you!
love your bonnet....I'm a ginger too, so the color is ours! if you extend the width of the straps by adding several rows starting at the corner of the face, it will pull closer to your face and fit a little snugger when tied....if you have more yarn.
Exactly 😂 and usually october/November air is good! But it changes every year 🥲
I took one year of Japanese over 20 years ago and I still remember the hiragana for "ta" because it looks like a drunk "ta" in English.
Hahha i always thought it looked like a person waving goodbye and saying tata 😂
I’d love to show you around some places in Kyoto when you’re in Japan if you need a guide! I’ve lived here for over four years (technically over five but not consecutively) and I know some super cute more hidden away places 😌☺️
As for Japanese, I used flash card apps for learning hiragana and katakana as well as writing.
