Homeowners Seek to Block Bank from Acquiring Their Homes

A standoff now looms between Jamii Bora bank and homeowners in Kisaju view park estate, after some of the homeowners refused to make payments to the bank saying they had no legal ties to the bank. The homeowners who are beneficiaries of a charitable housing scheme formally run by Jamii Bora Trust says the bank plans to evict them and repossess their property. In a quick rejoinder however Jamii Bora Trust says that the tenants should make payments to the bank as the original agreement never involved free housing but was a payment based ownership scheme.
