Batros may not have been intended to be a Horde Soldier but that can't stop the fans from making theories and it can't stop potential reboots from using that idea.
I liked to imagine he once worked for the Horde but left to follow his own ambitions. Then studied under King Hiss for a while to learn snake magic (hence his magic seeming to revolve around snakes) before once again pursuing his own ambitions.
Though it may have just been due to a similar design aesthetic from people designing both Batross and the Horde I can still see people prefer wanting there to be a link between the two for story potential.
@@ToonJukka Also if he's someone Skeletor almost respects maybe they knew each other when Skeletor was Hordak's apprentice. There is the one He-man episode that teases the Horde so why not.
Wow, I never knew fans had tried to claim they created Batros - I've heard that claim made with Mosquitor and with Ninjor but didn't realize certain fans had claimed Batros was their creation. As the video states, it's particularly unlikely Filmation nicked a fan's idea with this character.
No, because Hordak was Skeletor's master and could never have pulled off something like this. Book BURNING on the other hand... I like to think that those aliens with the Horde emblems from "Origin of the Sorceress" were Hordak's scouting party. The Sorceress's interference only prolonged the inevitable; but as she said, by the time the army arrived in force, they would be ready (as shown in Secret of the Sword/The Sword of She-ra).

I still display my Batros figure with the Horde...He just looks too cool with them. :)
"Because, unlike you, Batros has a brain!"
So Batros was the first Bat-Man to have a deep gravely voice!🤔

Batros being a clever, cunning villain makes him as great target for fan theories. Bat logo is like icing on top of it all. 😄

Im happy somebody is willing to tell theories on MOTUC and love it as much as the fans does.

It's happened on couple FB groups related to MOTU/POP in past years. By different people. So wanted to address it.
Little-known fact: Batros was played by Noel Fielding. ;)
A one hit wonder, one episode, came and went character villain that was unoriginal, but would of made a cool figure back then.
Yeah i always wondered if he was part of the hord he sure look like he was
He was Hordak in disguise. It’s like the Horde-ish guys that gave Teela-na her problems before she became the Sorceress.

Batman Beyond has some striking similarities, though...
