My heart goes out to everyone trapped in the trenches. Can't relate because I mostly just play single-player games (which you could argue is an issue in and of itself and I need to start playing more multiplayer games), but it sucks to see how this game model effects people who don't have the willpower to fight back and not give in.
not to sound all pretentious or anything but i think most single player or story driven games will end up a more fulfilling experience than multiplayer shooters. and that’s not to say that makes them unnecessary far from it i love call of duty!! but im always going to feel better rolling the credits on god of war than i am unlocking gold camo, you know what i mean?
@@bruhcodes That makes me feel better about my life choices haha. Yeah I totally agree. I play games to beat games for the most part, I love getting invested in a world and it's characters. Don't get me wrong, I love the mindless fun of a shooter, but you're right, it's not as fulfilling.
I realized how predatory Live service games are when I was trying to juggle Fortnite and Multiversus a few months ago. Soon after finding out Multiversus is garbage, I dropped it, I still play Fortnite but not obsessively anymore. There are better games out there that don't try to take your money, and don't feel like a part time job. For single player Pizza Tower and Breath of the Wild are great games I never played Tunic but that looks great too For multiplayer, Stardew Valley (also single player) Mario Wonder (also Singleplayer) Smash Bros, and Lethal Company are a few great games. Buying the game Lethal Company cost less than the Lethal Company skin in Fortnite.
The FOMO in these games is nuts, I have multiple buddies who have spent hundreds of dollars on free games, and you did a fantastic job at highlighting that here. Great conclusion about closing your wallet, too. To quote Switchfoot: Money speaks volumes louder than words.
don't know why, but I'm getting the sense that I should play tunic... great video! Fortnite is my live service game of choice and I feel lucky that I never got sucked into the battle pass or anything like that. it's truly insane how much these companies can get away with just because people will pay!
Nah, I’m here for a good time not a long time. If I want a Genshin character I’m getting them, if my favourite CoD gun gets a cool bundle, I’m getting it. I’m only here once, heck, a bunch of games I’ll never play on sale? I’ll buy it. 🤷🏻♂️
Fortnite is not a bad live service game is the other companie who copie epic game mobile game should never have battle pass but i need to say epic have do some change that make no sense in game like the rocket racing musical and lego but they have less player than save the world but they do nothing to give new content and the locker why they change something that aldready work PS:sorry for my englis i talk french its may be not the best
Live services games *can* be good if they acknowledge that not everything needs to be in a paywall. Ironically, Pokemon Unite is a good example of this because the paywall to get most of the stuff isn't as bad as Fortnite or Warzone because they understand that it's more about the replayabilty than having you pay to win.
@@shun2232 I'm saying as a generalization. The whole idea is having to pay more than you bargained for a game that doesn't provide much overtime, resulting in leaving a stain in the gaming industry.
3:40 it's closer to 2K tbh

What in the 4 by 3 ratio is this footage?
I don’t even remember the last time I bought a video game, let alone played a Live-service game.
Great video ❤

in what way does fortnite or warzone have pay to win?

Theyre fun. Youre just pretentious
