Mario Kart Wii is the best of all time. Still nowadays, after fkn 16 years (in 2008 I was 4 years old, now I'm 20) there's still people playing it a lot. Like trackmania, the Nation I think (2008 too) is the one that made that series what it is today. Those games are just the best, most played and still nowadays probably even played more than the newest version. Wii is the best.

I prefer 2 disks over downloading from the internet. That way you can still download when the servers are down

I find that buying and owning games gives me more motivation to actually play them. I'm having a blast playing Metal Gear Solid and I don't think the 4th wall breaks would have hit as good if I was emulating it. Something about seeing a game on your wall is fulfilling in a way that a folder full of ROMs isn't. It's the same with owning an album or film physically, it just feels right.

Nah, I’m here for a good time not a long time. If I want a Genshin character I’m getting them, if my favourite CoD gun gets a cool bundle, I’m getting it. I’m only here once, heck, a bunch of games I’ll never play on sale? I’ll buy it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Live services games *can* be good if they acknowledge that not everything needs to be in a paywall. Ironically, Pokemon Unite is a good example of this because the paywall to get most of the stuff isn't as bad as Fortnite or Warzone because they understand that it's more about the replayabilty than having you pay to win.

I realized how predatory Live service games are when I was trying to juggle Fortnite and Multiversus a few months ago. Soon after finding out Multiversus is garbage, I dropped it, I still play Fortnite but not obsessively anymore. There are better games out there that don't try to take your money, and don't feel like a part time job. For single player Pizza Tower and Breath of the Wild are great games I never played Tunic but that looks great too For multiplayer, Stardew Valley (also single player) Mario Wonder (also Singleplayer) Smash Bros, and Lethal Company are a few great games. Buying the game Lethal Company cost less than the Lethal Company skin in Fortnite.

My heart goes out to everyone trapped in the trenches. Can't relate because I mostly just play single-player games (which you could argue is an issue in and of itself and I need to start playing more multiplayer games), but it sucks to see how this game model effects people who don't have the willpower to fight back and not give in.

I absolutely wouldn’t mind a Mario Kart 8 Super/Ultra Deluxe instead of Mario Kart 9 with the rest of the characters and tracks like Dixie Kong, Honey Queen, Koopa Paratroopa (with alt shell colors), Piranha Plant Pipeline from Tour, and Wario Colosseum from DD.

I still play MK8 on Wii U about every week, I didn't see much reason to keep the Switch just for 1 (or 2) games when there's loads more I love on the Wii U (most games were ported on Switch, but idc it's more nostalgic on Wii U) To be fair I only think Battle Mode is fun with friends which I can't play with at ALL times so I don't mind that the battle mode on Wii U sucks. I also think most of the DLC tracks in 8 deluxe look like crap

Mariokart 8 Deluxe secured its spot as the greatest once it added Toad Circuit. Jokes aside though, this game has everything you could want from Mariokart and then some. Always a good time when the fellas come over.

Double Dash/DS. Mechanics and mission mode over 8's content being fair but not that exciting even if controls better. If more characters sure, tracks eh it's probably got enough (even besides the DLC of old tracks/Tour tracks).

It's pretty remarkable how much of my life Mario Kart 8 has been around for; I'm definitely ready for a change but I'm never gonna deny what a great game this is and how much fun I've had with it throughout my life!
