My grandmother was born in 1903 and lived in the same small rural community I grew up in 30 miles northwest of Birmingham, Alabama. My grandmother always told us a story about a picture they had hanging in their house called "Rock of Ages". The painting was of three women clinging to a rock during a storm. The picture would sometimes be found on the floor - they would find it leaning against the wall. Without fail, someone in the family would die within 3 days of the painting sliding down the wall. She said when her mother died, no one in the family wanted that picture!
I am the youngest of five (oldest Big Brother, then three sisters, then me) and a girl cousin that lived with us that shared Big Sis' bedroom in our big farmhouse, the two middle sisters sharing their own bedroom, the girls' rooms down the hall from the boys, my room closest to the stairs. A few weeks after our Dad died (in our kitchen in his favorite maple chair surrounded by us all) when I was four, I overheard the girls telling my Mom that Big Brother had begun walking in his sleep. I thought nothing of it 'til one moonlit night when I awoke to a figure standing silently by my open bedroom door. Sure that it was Big Brother, I called his name once, twice, then a third time to no response. As the figure turned towards the top of the stairs, I jumped from my bed fearful that Big Brother would fall during his sleep walking, and as I came around the corner I could see his head through the railings as he continued down the stairs. But then I realized the downstairs door wasn't opening as could always be told by the squeak of the hinges and the lightening of the dark stairwell. Looking over the railing as my eyes became used to the darkness, I could see the figure was gone. Unsure what to do, I went to Big Brother's room and saw he was fast asleep. I then ran back to my bedroom, jumped into bed, and fell back to sleep watching my bedroom doorway. I awoke the next morning wondering what could have happened, when it suddenly dawned on me how much the figure looked like my Dad...
My husband's work place bought a small house which was close to the property and the house had a reputation of being haunted. Many didn't believe it, but many had experiences in the house. Our granddaughter had had times where she saw things or heard things. My husband decided to bring her to the house to see if she heard anything..he, our daughter and granddaughter went to this house. He had permission from his boss, but the only way they could get in was to crawl through a big porch window. It was a two story house with the steps going up from the livingroom. Our granddaughter said she heard voices on the steps ...my husband heard them, too. Our daughter didn't hear anything...when they got to top of the stairs they looked in the bedrooms. Our granddaughter said she heard a baby crying in one corner of the bedroom...they left the house and as they were driving away our granddaughter got a strange look on her face. She said didn't they see the young man standing in front of the house? She said he waved to her. Our two daughters went to the newspaper office the next day after finding out the address of the house...it ended up that years before a young couple lived in that house and a young neighbor guy broke in and murdered them...the husband died at the bottom of the steps and the wife died on the steps...they had a baby who was found alive and crying in a crib in that same bedroom corner. The young man who murdered the couple matched the description our granddaughter saw....he had killed himself after he did the awful murders...we were shocked and so were the workers at the business....I believe in God and love the Lord but we cannot explain it...she has had other experiences...now that she's older and married with three children she doesn't have very many such things happen.
My grandma’s sister, Victoria, died as a teenager- I believe from TB. She was one of the older siblings and was a “favorite” of my great grandpa. He had given her a special locket, which she was buried with. For several nights, after Victoria was buried, my great grandma would wake up to my great grandpa crying, at the end of the bed, saying “please don’t go Victoria”. My great grandma just chalked it up to him dreaming and grieving so badly for his daughter. However, one night, when she tried to tell him he was just dreaming- he was adamant that Victoria had been there. He said “She was here, and she gave me this!” And in his hands was the locket that he’d given her and she had been buried with… 💯 True story
This might not sound that spooky, but I'm deacon at a small church, and I stay after the service to straighten up the sanctuary. We have a metal roof, and it makes all kinds of noise. When it's windy, it rattles, and when it's hot, it makes little irregular popping noises. When you're alone, your imagination runs wild. I know what the noise is, and I know God watches over me, but it's still creepy. Thanks, and God bless!
@@Diligent-dp7gi I think you misunderstood me. It's not an "incident," it happens all the time. The roof makes noises due to the wind and sun acting on it. It sounds like someone is in or on the building. Of course I know it's just the wind blowing the eaves and the sun warping the metal roof. It still sounds creepy. That's all I meant. I was not implying that the cause of the noise is ghosts or whatever.
My daughter and I have twice had the same experience of an uneasy feeling and I'm thankful we heeded the warning because it eventually did come to light that at one of the places(a rural gas station) there were evil things going on.
I have also heard, what we later assumed was a panther, scream. I was about eight years old and awake one night while my parents were sleeping. The sound was chilling! I hid under my parents bed petrified! I live in central Tennessee and our home was across the hallow from a mountainous area.
Good stories y’all. I don’t believe in ghosts but I absolutely believe in evil and I do know that, as Christians, God gives us a feeling when we are around evil. You’re not crazy, Austin. I saw a group of UFOs in about 1965 or 1966 when I lived in Southern Illinois. I was driving home from my job in a rural area at about 1:30 am. Very spooky!
I live in Southern Illinois and have seen some weird things in the sky myself. One night I was out picking up nightcrawlers after a rain and saw what looked like 3 orange 55 gallon drums in the shape of a triangle. It was going over very slow maybe 200 foot in the air and was completly silent. I watched it until it went out of sight. No idea what it was. One night up on Carlyle lake me, my brother, and my dad all saw a long string of bright white balls of light come from the north and slowly turn and go 1 by 1 out over the lake and dissaper. They too were silent. Crazy!
And I saw the amazing granddaddy of 'em in 1997 with my daughter at night. It was so massive it covered half of Phoenix. Type 'Arizona Phoenix Lights UFO' for the story. The 21 year celebration explains it pretty well. I tried 2 times putting my story of seeing it here, but both times it disappears, much like the ufo did that night after staying suspended over a mountain range and half the city.
My Grampy had a similar story to Austin’s! It happened in the late 60’s/70’s in rural Ohio. He and a buddy who lived nearby carpooled together to work. Grampy was waiting for his friend at the end of the driveway early one morning while it was still dark when all of the sudden he saw a flying saucer-like thing with a bunch of lights float up above the trees and just hovered there a few minutes and then was gone just as quickly as it had appeared. When his friend arrived he told my Grampy “You’ll never believe what I just saw” and corroborated everything my Grampy saw. 😂Grampy passed away 7 years ago but since then a local newspaper did an article about hundreds of similar sightings around the same time/area as his incident. 😳🛸
I live by myself ,it’s 10:45 at night in S. Florida , and I am listening to you girls telling scary stories. I believe your stories, my Daddy told scary stories when I was a young girl. I would set on our couch with my feet curled up under me. I really enjoy you girls no matter what the story is. God bless, love you.
Nice family video...I enjoyed every minute of it and have some scary stories to tell as well. I've spent a lot of time outdoors and bobcats can scream like a woman or even sound like a crying baby too. Maybe was a panther, maybe just a bobcat.

Great stories everyone!! I grew up in a very small town and the was a graveyard across the street from my house. There was also one 5 house south of my house. The graveyard across the street never bothered me. I would actually hunt for quartz over there. But the one down the street would freak me out! Every time I passed it, I would feel cold air and feel someone staring @ me.... even in the heat of summer.
We lived in a home built on a former grave yard. Neighbor excavating for a pool found human bones, he had to call the police, but it was someone they didn't move when they relocated the graves 100 years before. I'm not sure why he dug so much, but he found headstones, large pieces at least. We didn't have problems there, though.
I just love listening to all those stories. I will never look at Big Bird the same again. Granny's story was really good. That sack of potatoes was standing straight out...that's hilarious! I am such a visual person, when someone tells a story I am picturing it in my head. Love these videos!!
Love this! Great stories by all! Big bird saying "peekaboo" and almost got shot was funny ! I believe the UFO story! I've seen em , friends and family have also thru the years...thanks y'all, look forward to more stories! God bless y'all always...🙏❤
Corie, maybe you could do a video showing us how to put a sweater together 😉 I know how to crochet… but I am totally lost on how to bring a sweater together. Love these stories! You girls and your family are awesome.!
I appreciate all of your honest truth stories…my goodness..your honest experiences are real and so special to reveal…I am a believer that all families have “stories”😊
That was a great video! So much fun. Brings me back to memories of scary experiences I had forgotten about. I think Paul narrowly escaped a fugitive, and Big Bird narrowly escaped Paul! 😂
I love your expressions Katie, while Corie is telling her story 😁❤ Also Paul and Grannie are such good storytellers, just like Tipper 😍 And now Austin, too!
Always pay attention to those little hunches or feelings. We studied a little about some of that in a college. There is such a thing as subliminal messaging. It's been used in advertising to direct people toward certain products to buy more drinks at a movie theater. Sometimes backpacking through the music piped through stored
Music. The idea is that your subconscious may pick up on things that your conscious mind doesn't. When you look at a brick wall your conscious mind only sees a brick wall. But your subconscious may see every brick in that wall. Under hypnosis people are often able to recall details they can't remember when they're awake.
Great story s yall got some good good storys the one I liked the most was grannys that would put the fire under anybody .and Austin's to that would be so cool yo see that thanks girls and tipper and Paul for these great story s .🎃🎃🎃
Really enjoyed the stories. My Dad was from Del Rio Tennessee & when I was little he and his sisters & brother always told ghosts stories. Thank you for taking me back to my Dad's young days in the Appalachians.
My husband's grandmother could tell the best haint tales as she called them. Once she told us a tale she said was told to her by her own grandmother that took place right before the war between the states so I'm guessing 1860 or so. She said her great grandmother and grandfather worked in a logging camp deep in the foothills of South Carolina. It was her job to cook for the camp in a covered lean to or shed that was open on three sides . One day she had the evening meal of journey cakes and soup beans almost ready when she had to go carry a bucket of water from the spring. On the way back she heard an awful commotion at the shed that made her hair stand on end. It sounded awful and smelled worse. She sneaked around the shed and saw an awful sight. There stood a man covered in hair from head to foot all hunched down under the shed that she reckoned must be at least 8 or 9 foot tall... the shed was about 6 and it couldn't stand up under it.. it was holding the empty bean pot that had been boiling hot in its hand and had already eat the bread from the frying pan too. Well she said granny got so mad at seeing she would have to do her work twice that she grabbed a broom and went to whooping the daylights outta that hairy devil which took off like a shot never to bother them again. This was told to us in the early 70s before Bigfoot was a thing. Makes you think don't it? .
Granny's story was a good one. Your uncle's had me holding my breath. enjoyed all of them. but the one I can relate to is Austins. My dad saw a ufo in the fifties. He said he was going to work coming off a side street and he saw a cigar shaped object. There was one or two windows they were dark and the object was glowing. Just like Austin he didn't tell anyone about it for several years.
When my grandma died, my baby sister went to the funeral home to fix her hair. She was a beautician. While she was doing that, the lights went out! Then at the funeral, a light bulb fell out of the chandelier and landed loudly in the glass fixture covering it!
Peekaboo 😱 I would have died right there and then 😰😂 😂 Katie I got chills with the teaset story. I'm sitting in the dark watching with just the light from my laptop and a candle. Loved this one girls, thanks for sharing 🥰
Omg we have those same lamps but Differant shades ...I glued flowers on mine we have fall colors in our living room. So have several fall flower arrangements.
Thanks for this. I loved it totally. I don't have anything comparable but I went through a day that gave me shivers. I was sitting alone at our cottage watching the still lake. There were no boats going by. Suddenly I saw a gush of waves rising up in the middle of the water. It scared me. I was thinking oh no its Ogopogo. These waves came up for no reason and then settled down again. I never knew where they came from. And then the lake got quiet again. I still believe in Ogopogo.
This was so good I watched it twice. The first time, I was cooking so wasn't really watching. the second time, I watched. What a great job you did with the visual effects! Again- what great stories. Not too gory, just spooky enough. Loved this video.
Fun stories! I think everyone has at least one, mostly unforgettable, often unexplainsable. My Mom always said, "that scared the wadden out of me!" Southeastern Kentucky saying. Elsewhere, in the south, I have heard "pee-wadden." My Mom called the local ghost stories, "haints." I think your Mom has featured that term on her channel. 😵😵💫
I was working in the area close to Asheboro NC that was part of the Uwharrie National Forest. I had head there was a old wooden covered bridge in the area ( Pisga Covered Bridge) so I decided I wanted to ride by there to see it. I drove over there and found the bridge , I was disappointed to see how much graffiti was painted all over it ( most of it was satanic type symbols etc) . I was there all by myself just looking around when as plan as day I heard a wind chime. It was a hot summer day and nary a breeze was stirring. I froze for a second and took stock of what I had just heard. I quickly decided I had seen enough of the old wooden bridge , I hopped in my car and got out of there as quick as I could . To this day I have no explanation of what I heard that day.
Austin the same thing happened to me. I was walking and this thing all of a sudden this thing was hovering over me. I took off running and that whatever it is took off just like you described. I am 70 yrs old and that happened when I was 15. I will never forget how afraid I was.
Katie, quit staring at me like that! LOL! Paul, omg dude.... PEEKABOO! I was rolling, the way you told that. I still am, I've got tears in my eyes from laughing. My water would have been on the floor, for sure. I loved this one. Thank you for sharing. The powers that be up here in the Binghamton NY region say we don't have wild cats here, either. My daughter saw a mountain lion in the summertime on an old dark back road, about 20 miles from here and my friend saw one about two weeks ago, a bobcat, about 7 miles away from me. I think the wildlife-fish-and-game or whomever just don't want to admit it, but they might better start warning people that there have been wildcat sightings, before something really bad happens. Much love, many hugs!
I love watching your videos you girls bring joy and happiness in my heart and your moms to and my wife love your videos to so keep up the good work you all make me happy
I really enjoyed these! Your Uncle's story had me on the edge of my seat! I can't even imagine how he felt in that moment. I'm glad that you didn't come home to yellow feathers everywhere XD Thank you, and God bless you all :D
Panthers are all over the mountains and foothills on the Tennessee side. My dogs have treed more than one. When they do, your in for a long night, if you can'tcatch your dogs. They'll wait in the tree with the dogs baying and when your lights get close, theyll jump out over the dogs a run long way before they go up another tree. They'll do that till daylight befor they get tired or mad. Then, they're liabke to jump out on the dogs and whoever else is there and it's on. Acouple of times when I've been in the woods late and the dogs hadn't struck yet and things were quite, I've heard the most awful scream. It even freaks the dogs out at first. One of those times a panther happened to already be up in a tree right by where we had parked after turning the dogs out. We had been standing out around the truck for 15 or 20 minutes swapping lies and laughing and never new it was up there. Until it screamed. If you've ever heard one up close, you can imagine our first reaction. Even though we knew what it was, the thought of it being right over us all that time was more than worrisome. The only thing we could figure is that it was ready to come down but wouldn't because we were there with lights and talking and laughing and it finally got frustrated or mad and let out a scream. It jumped and ran off in the opposite direction. We went and caught the dogs and called it a night before they caught its scent. Its literally a blood-curdling sound. Even if you know what it is. Lol.
Those are the very best kind of spooky stories, the kind to tell sitting around the fire at night: the "this happened to me one time" stories. Katie's story about the painter scream reminds me of what happened to my mom when she was a teenager in the 1920s. The youth group from her church had rented a cabin up in the San Bernardino Mountains in southern California for a weekend retreat. The girls and their advisor/chaperones were sleeping inside and and the boys with their advisor/chaperones were sleeping on the porch. In the middle of the night they were wakened by a terrible scream, that sounded like a woman about to be murdered. The boys all rushed inside. The men lit their lanterns and looked out, but didn't see anything. They called, but no one answered. So they all stayed inside, with nobody getting much sleep, until daylight. In the morning, the men went out first to look around. They were afraid they might find the body of the woman who screamed. There were puma tracks all over the porch and up on the roof of the porch. My mom said the prints were the size of saucers. They figured it was up on the roof when it screamed.
Great story Paul!

That was a great video! So much fun. Brings me back to memories of scary experiences I had forgotten about. I think Paul narrowly escaped a fugitive, and Big Bird narrowly escaped Paul! 😂

We all have energy it can be positive or negative. When we pass on sometimes the energy gets stuck I believe. That is ghost 👻 like .
That's what I believe. People in life can be positive or negative or a mixture of both and so can spirit.
Paul's story was real creappy.😯
Granny, you are a treasure! I love you4 memories!🎃
I love these stories
I saw what Austin saw here in Maryland many years ago. I don't tell people bc it's hard to believe. But I saw what I saw!
I love your expressions Katie, while Corie is telling her story 😁❤ Also Paul and Grannie are such good storytellers, just like Tipper 😍 And now Austin, too!
Thanks for watching! 🎃
How fun! Loved the stories, especially your Granny’s. She’s a treasure.
So much fun, so entertaining. I laughed out loud at Big Bird almost getting shot. There are some good story tellers in your family. TFS ~ Betty
Thanks for watching! 🎃
Not backpacking the term is backmasking. Sorry by the way, that was a mountain lion. I've heard them.

Corie, I love your sweater!
Really enjoyed the stories. My Dad was from Del Rio Tennessee & when I was little he and his sisters & brother always told ghosts stories. Thank you for taking me back to my Dad's young days in the Appalachians.
Oh these were so great! Your uncle’s story, though…I think I would have passed out when Big Bird said “Peekaboo”. 😂😂😱
Hahaha so would I!
Spooky! Happy Halloween!
Sweet! Love your stories! 🥰
This was great! Such a fun video. You all did a great job of story telling. I got goosebumps!🎃
Thanks for watching! 🎃
When my grandma died, my baby sister went to the funeral home to fix her hair. She was a beautician. While she was doing that, the lights went out! Then at the funeral, a light bulb fell out of the chandelier and landed loudly in the glass fixture covering it!
❤️❤️
Oh I love these stories.!
Loved the stories! If y’all have more bring um on!
Hello from South Texas ✨👋🤠 you girls are so funny , and I love your videos very much.

Thanks for watching! 🎃
Elsewhere, in the south, I have heard "pee-wadden." My Mom called the local ghost
stories, "haints." I think your Mom has featured that term on her channel.
😵😵💫
My mama always said, "You scared the puddin' outta me!"
My grandson had one of those Big Bird it use to scare me every time I went into the den specifically at night.
Another great video I loved all the stories
Wow!
My Mom has a story very similar to Austin’s story. The big bird story had my pounding 😳. Have a fun Halloween 🎃
Thanks girl
Love the stories! The government even says ufo exist now
I heard about that!
Austin the same thing happened to me. I was walking and this thing all of a sudden this thing was hovering over me. I took off running and that whatever it is took off just like you described. I am 70 yrs old and that happened when I was 15. I will never forget how afraid I was.
You girls are so precious 💕 Thank you for sharing this 💕🙏🙏
Watching the world News is the scariest thing I experience in the present.
I still remember Casper the friendly ghost and Wendy... and that's no joke 🕸👻🕸👻🕸👻
All y'alls stories were spooky and interesting. Thx for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Haha!
Loved your stories.
I really enjoyed those stories and the additions of the house -- steps and such added in. God Bless. Jean

I really enjoyed these! Your Uncle's story had me on the edge of my seat! I can't even imagine how he felt in that moment. I'm glad that you didn't come home to yellow feathers everywhere XD
Thank you, and God bless you all :D
Panthers can sometimes sound like they're way off and they will be right there at you.
Scary!
Oh my, that’s crazy, good thing the boys went inside!
I loved this,!
