    Thanks for another video! I always do intersect with model, hide the sink, and then push/pull the outline in the counter down. That way the geometry stays intact. Greetz from The Netherlands!

    Thank you, Sir! I am kinda shy of using that feature for some reason, so I've been drawing around the edge in rough shapes and then offsetting. But that doesn't solve the problem of the multiple layers. LOL
    So, this gives me more confidence.

    Hi! Love your videos, I'm self teaching & you've been the best teacher!
    I'm trying to figure out how I can turn a component into a group, because when I try doing this with my bathroom sink being a component and go to delete layers it deletes my countertop. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, any advice? Thank you SO much in advance!

    I'm using the second way all the time starting from inside with small rectangle and then push pull to each edge -10mm like in real life kitchen sink installation (EU). [Check sinks manual] Will be nice to see some plugin in action to make this for us .. maybe double cut ?

    Thank you! I wonder if this will make it easier for me to do the cut-out part for the inner bowl of a euro style sink I'm trying to make. It's an odd shape and the sink is part of the countertop. It has a small cabinet and the sink basin hangs over the front edge of the cabinet. The countertop sides overhang as well. So, now I'm thinking if I can intersect model I can make the countertop without the sink opening and then make the inner part of the sink separately and pop it in and then use this method to do the cutout.
    I'm really struggling with the part of the euro sink on the outside where the countertop edge curves forward/out and downward as there are so many curved angles to deal with.

    Is there a better way to do this now? Some models are to complex to cut a group for example a dowlight in ad ceiling

  • @JohnColgan.
    @JohnColgan. 4 роки тому

    Isn't there an option with intersect or solid tools, to either remove cross over solid geometry, or at least, mark other geometry that touches the sink bowl ? Then manually delete individual layer sections
