The studio electronics code 8 is the modern cs80.

    • @Michael_Geyre
      @Michael_Geyre  3 місяці тому +7

@jim6186 what defined the Cs80 ? (Except being polyphonic)
An expressive keyboard, presets, and unusual synthesis approach with playability and musicality in mind
When people discover Cs80 for the 1st time, I can see 2 categories
      - pianists who try to play music with it (without thinking about synthesis and programming)
      - sound designers who watch the front panel and think "it's not as powerful as expected" followed by "sounds like shit"
It really was an instrument thought to be played, despite it's possible to make some nice sound design with it
I've not tried the code 8 yet, but I'm not sure it's been built with the same goal in mind
Polybrute 12, well, it's a modern compromise with a very expensive keyboard and powerful synthesis
If musicians don't want to waste their time programming, they have access to tons of presets directly playable (and that was my goal as a sound designer, thinking each preset as a playable instrument)

@@Michael_Geyre what defined the cs80? Well it's sound of course.
My point is that the se code can be had with cs80 style filters making it the modern day closest equivalent to the cs80.

    • @Michael_Geyre
      @Michael_Geyre  3 місяці тому

@jim6186 I disagree and things are not that easy
All Cs synths share same vcf Ig, but most of them sound different
Compare as example cs70m to a cs80 if you have the opportunity

Salut Mickael.

I can do better i swear by my life. And you surely know you can better also.
But if you share a video with the whole world i even haven't to be able to do better. I have the polybrute and thinking about switching.
First what is going on with the recording? Do you have the volume knob quite to max?
There also seems to be some noises in the patches how you play it.
Other than that you are one of many people who feeling like sharing your output with the world.
How long do you have the polybrute 12?
When you listen to this demo do have the feeling it is worth sharing it?
Factory presets. You don't know how to handle the keyboard yet. That is clearly to hear.
Is that important for you to share you little demo with the world real quick? What is it attention seeking or conformation seeking?
Or do you think you do us a favour? A present to the world?
Do you show us anything here what we can't hear in all the other demos.
It seems like you want to make yourself important? If not whats the reason for that?
Even the big ones often think they can make anything.
It is almost an insult to ask me if i should make it better.
Do you think you can make it not better?
If so i am sorry for you.
      There is nothing new.
      Played not well.
      Something about the recording.
Why don't you take you time?
Why don't you try to master the keyboard first?
Why not making a video where you show us completely raw patches you made. That would be something with value. Something people can get new audio information from.
Or why you don't show us any sweetspots or interessting behaviour with the new keyboard or with the synthesis or both.
Ir maybe you can load polybrute 6 patches and show to let people hear if there us a difference between both. I say no but i am not sure. People are interested in that.
      That would be value.
Uique sweetspots, raw stuff, polybrute 6 patches, good performances also.
You just play around some patches you randomly found for a few minutes done.
I always think this is lazy trash when people do it.
      What is the next video.
      Another 3 factory patches?
To pretend like this is all what you can do.
No, if you weren't so lazy i am sure you can do it way better.
You seem to can play a bit.
Unique sweetspots can be almost anything. Any kind of patches.transformingpatches into another. Showing unique behaviour which you like in the filter oscillators or whereever. Duopatches. Layer.
      Effects anything really.
A very complex synth that hides a huge amount of spots. I know from the 6.
So you can drop your lazy stuff. Something we all heared. Or you can sit down and drop something special, unique, impressing ir something good.

@Michael_Geyre i said its almost an insult to say to me do it better.
Of course i can do it better. Way better.
And you know you can do it better to. And i am sure you know it.
You've tried to drop a video fast. Just a lazy video which give us nothing we haven't seen yet?
Rcording seems off. Volume knob at max kind of?
      Clicks becaue of your playing.
      You can't handle the keyboard.
If you share this with the whole world i can say that i think it is lazy, redundant.
Why not take time to show something unique? Why not learn the keyboard?
      Why not show exciting sweetspots.
      Why not making a rawdemo.
Why not playing p6 patches to show.
Because you think you can shit this short video to.the internet one hour after belonging it and then get a lotof props for buying a polybrute 12 and playing some note.
      Who can't do it better?
You know you can do it better.
This video just exists because you seek attention and conformation.
Or is that your gift to the world?
You did it like all these clones of clones of clones.
If you really think that this is impressing.
That you really did something good or great that has to be cognitive dissonance.
So please give yourself some time or do something interesting or practice.
That seems ro be the typical behaviour.
Pressing some keys and feeling like a genius.
      "Do it better..."
      That was a self diss.
      Who can't?

I have a feeling this synth will go down in synth history as the most overhyped, most overpriced, ugliest-sounding ever and ugliest-looking ever synth of all times. Unless Arturia releases something worse than this..
