Hey All! Thanks for watching thus far. As I shared in the description of this video, I think some may find this type of ASMR totally relaxing and others may say, "huh?" Wherever you may fall on the spectrum, I'm really into exploring new bounds of botanical awareness and bliss, (...if we don't try, we don't know, right?), so I hope you can appreciate this, even if it's not for you. This one was particularly challenging to film, as a botanical garden (even without people in it), is not particularly quiet (hence the white noise of the fans behind), so next time I do this, I'll take that into consideration! Special thanks to the Bergius Botanic Gardens for letting us film that day :)

Regardless of how an individual may feel on the subject this was a remarkable triumph for the online plant community! It's a beautiful experiment in further sharing the beauty of the plant world we love. Now, if you can get Chad from the Fairchild with you on your next one that would be ASMR gold!😉 👍

I hope you do more of ASMR videos in the future. You're giving us the experience of actually touching the plants - something that is otherwise lost in in this type of format. I was so deep into the video, I actually forgot I'm watching one lol Great work! :)

This was so great as your first ASMR video. So proud 😊 and happy to see more people respecting ASMR for what it is. For people with anxiety sometimes these extra quiet and slow videos are just what we need to center ourselves. That was the biggest reason I got into plant collecting in the first place.. thank you for combining my two favorite worlds ❤️

This is genius! I'm not partial to ASMR, I think I may be missing something in my brain that enjoys or understands that, but, this is such a great example of trends that would seem a juxtaposition being brought into a unity so that different people can enjoy them. So ASMR fans WELCOME! Summer makes great videos and I dare you not to learn a thing or two about plants while you enjoy her soothing voice and the interesting sounds of life.
@summer - you killed me with the beginning - "I have 2 microphones...on a pencil" HAHAAHAHA! love that you try new things. Very impressed

hahah. Thanks so much Stuart for your comprehensive commentary on this. I appreciate the fact that you are open-minded. I don't particularly use ASMR myself-nor do I get the tingles, but I very much enjoy listening to nature sounds and learning. And I do hope that some folks who like ASMR can watch this video (and forthcoming ones) and lean in a little more to learn about plants :)

This is so, so wonderful, Summer! I love ASMR. It only sometimes gives me “tingles”, but it always brings me a sense of serenity and puts me into a relaxing meditative state. What a wonderful media to combine with the peace and relaxation we find in plants. A natural combination, just like you and ASMR - your presence is perfect for it! One thing to maybe adjust is to leave out is the regular-volume clip at the end, so that your viewers meditation is not broken. Please do this again!!

This video has been up for a long time but I just ran into it. I’ve been watching your you tube videos in order before bedtime and if it’s very late then they make me fall asleep but not because they are boring but because they are soothing. Once I notice I’m not watching only listening then I turn it off and rewatch it the next day so I can see the plants! It would be awesome to create recordings especially for falling asleep and meditation but I’ll probably be gone by the third sentence!

That was just wonderful! At first I felt confused and found myself checking if this how it would be til' the end of the video 🤭 but then I chose to "give in to it" and I loved it! I would definately enjoy some of these ASMR videos or soundscapes from You 😊

I couldn't understand all of what you were saying, with the whispering... but, the soft sounds were very relaxing. It almost put me to sleep. This would be a good video before bedtime..relaxing you to sleep. I love the sounds of nature, the rustling of leaves and trees on a breezy day. I just heard about ASMR, for the first time, last week... on a comedy routine on TV. 😁💤

As a botanist and gardener with a major ASMR addiction, I have been searching for videos like this for 3 years. Please do more. I would subscribe to a separate channel of exclusively Botany ASMR content if you decide to go that route.

I would rather hear the normal sounds, like going to a garden center and picking up plants from the plastic trays, walking along the aisles, the birds, etc.

I love love love your videos. You are a big reason why my plants are alive. Listening to you go and talk to people, the natural sounds that surround you, and watching you love plants are what draws me to watch your videos. Can you show more videos on terrariums? I really want to buy a biorb but they are not available in Canada. I would really like to buy one but the company only sell the aquarium in Canada :(

ASMR is like yoga: the first time makes you laugh heartily😂 but understanding is soon to follow. I had gas the first time I tried yoga so you could imagine the ASMR from that session. 🤣

Omg THANK YOU for this. I’ve been waiting for the plant gurus to start doing more entertainment based videos like other UA-camrs, so this really excites me and I’m looking forward to more videos like this!

It was interesting. I watched this in the afternoon, so I’m not sure about the whole bedtime aspect of it. But I do enjoy all the different sounds that nature offers us. Thank you Summer for being curious and open enough to try out this new concept for your fans.
