I only heard of Vitas after I discovered Opera 2 by Dimash, and it is not worth to mention Vitas in this regard. They only sing the same song, but the performance cannot be compared. Besides, the whole range of songs that Dimash has, 180+ is of such superior quality and variety of styles, that nobody can be compared.

The only thing you should've mentioned is that Vitas went up only twice, whereas Dimas did it 4 times. Because of that, as per Vitas' request, Dimash cannot perform this song anymore. This is the only performance.
This is nothing like America's GotTalent! Its a real competition in China for established singers/musicians . He was brought in as a wild card and shocked everyone, and he's still doing that. Try some of his later performances, including his MV's and concerts. They r all amazing.
If you love great voices, you should check out the Korean quartet Forestella. They do a cover of Jim Croce's "Time in a Bottle" (circa 1973) that will blow you away! Also "Scarborough Fair" by Simon and Garfunkle and "Je suis malade" by Lara Fabien (original by Serge Lama). Also "Bad Romance" and "Shape of You". Really worth the check.

Yes, indeed. Dimash sings this better than Vitas. Not just in terms of three modulations vs just one, but also Dimash’s beautiful rounded and light soprano high tones are pleasing to the ear whereas Vitas’s high notes are more screeches.
I have listened to Vitas sing this, but his version is a little too screechy for my ears. I hope you let your brother listen to more Dimash so he can really appreciate Dimash's true range. Like in Sinful Passion, Love Is Like A Dream, Your Love, and Olympico, and Stranger. Out of all the songs that Dimash has covered, I believe this is the only one that he is not allowed to sing again.
