Hi .The lady that's trying to reach the high note is Sandy .she toured China with Andrew Lloyd Webber in 2000 .She does a lot of work with deaf children and is well known in China .She won .but the Chinese people loved Dimash and visas versa. He has fun in China and has returned around Xmas to take part in a TV show .after two years.becouse of covet .It's great viewing 👌

Awww....I'm so glad you chose the extended version and saw how incredibly humble and what a loving person he is! Totally agree with your assessment of his singing. It just broke my heart when he said "I want to go home" to his dad. I think he said it because he missed his family, and how special that his proud dad surprised him! Please watch The Love Of Tired Swans! It's my favorite cover by Dimash. The very first time he sang the song at the Kremlin is the most special to me. Everything about that performance is beautiful. The way he dressed, the stage, the audience, the flow of the song, his stage performance, so timeless and magical. Maybe you can watch his music video of it, in the same reaction?

A small addition to what has already been said about Dimash and his phenomenal talent. The song "Opera-2" was written by Vitas in moments of depression and in his performance it fully corresponds to what was conceived. He was the first performer of it. Vitas' voice is a 3.5 octave tenor, and he performs high notes in pure falsetto. Dimash has a slightly different range structure with his 7.3 octaves and his falsetto is much higher than Vitas. So when performing this song, Dimash sang the song itself in a completely different key - optimistic, and sang the main solo half a tone higher, and at the end he generally rose two steps by two tones. Apparently, Vitas was offended by this - his voice did not rise so high even in his best years. And through his producer Vitas banned Dimash from performing his songs under the far-fetched pretext of "intellectual property theft". The funny thing about this is that ALL the other authors and performers of the songs performed by Dimash only congratulated him and thanked him for the magnificent interpretation.

Opera 2 was composed by the Russian musician and singer VItas. I read that when he heard Dimash's version he ordered him that he could not repeat it. He also knew that he would have recorded a new improved version of his original composition. True or false? Dimash has never sung this song again.
