The overlerleveled comments are odd to me. I'll admit, the jump attack damage he's doing is nuts, but when most of the people playing either summon friends, mimics, companions, etc, I don't think it's fair to expect a solo melee build to go into fights happy to deal the same damage per hit as others. Plus it's a decent strat. I spent hours practicing and memorizing Morgott unable to beat him, then this video inspired me to focus A BIT less on avoiding damage, and A BIT more on dealing it, and I got him.
Fought him alone and focusing on memorizing his moveset and he was awesome, honestly of the best boss fights i've ever played. I think Asmon ruined his boss fight.
@@lucaprisciano5146 I actually agree with that. The damage from those halberds when jumping is disgusting, and I had a massive mix of love and hate as I gradually got better at fighting Morgott. Godfrey and this boss were both too easy imo , i just just finished them and honestly was shocked how easy it is . Dont get me wrong its a hard boss - First Marg is WAY harder esp as a opening boss I had so much difficulty with being a prisoner.. Drove me mad how hard it was until I learned the boss/returned with a few new items. But even with that, Remember - First time is harder with the small space / debree as where here theres so much more space here in this arena. Add knowledge of the game/loot to grab by this time again . . . + know the boss... = easy imo. OFC gonna be hard if ur level 50 and using an estoc+10 or something stupid. Just cant see myself playing 3-4 times since it takes like 100h to finish the game where as souls games takes a fraction of this time. Still 10/10 game of the year IMO!
Yeah, I first tried him twice, with both my characters. Why does he do so little damage? It makes me cry because he's top 3 best bosses for me (for story and characterization)
25% more damage seems like overkill. As is, one combo almost killed him, and he was over leveled. Morgott's damage output is fine, he just needs his health to scale to the player's level and he's gonna do fine.

wtf is that jump attack damage
why were y’all so overleveled for this fight? lol i was only like 85 and a bunch of y’all saying you were over 110. wtf
i’m level 60 and was confused why he was so difficult compared to how most described 😭😭
@@mikedini. exactly😭, he took me a good amount of time to beat. not too sure why people decided to level up that much lolol
Probably we did everything possible until Leyndell.
Margit's shackles were super useful here
If over leveled was a person, it would be Asmongold.
Everyone hates on players being OP, but how do you be mad at someone for exploring and enjoying the beauty of the game? Not everyone plays just to beat bosses
I beat this guy first try level 59 with the great sword and lion claw build
Does this guy have a tick? He keeps moving his eyebrows lol
people care to much how others enjoy playing
Beat this boss at lvl 21 with plus 2 longsword
One of the best bosses.
I have beaten him with a club and small shueld naked, that was really hard and interesting
3:23 he just raised his hand while dodging and moving ?
He’s using mouse and keyboard. That hand was on the mouse so it’s not needed for movement
To be fair Asmon looks level hella high there so, when ur higher level than ur supposed to when fighting certain boss of course its easy
How so? The high damage is cause of claw charm + raptor Cape and the bulk is a combo of strength and vigor. Not too unusual
@@p0oka261 Well he has a bucha hp, can't see how many vials but he has them at +8
why are you crying about that?
@@asir9129Leyndell is a level 120 late game area. Why tf did fromsoft put a level 80 boss to a level 120 area? That is their fault.
@@mihaimercenarul7467 level 120 LMAO, I was level 110 when I beat the fucking game and you're insisting that the start of mid game is supposed to be level 120? This is a level 50-60 boss fight and goes for most of this area.
I'm sorry you're just ruining your own experience with being that butt load overpowered.
Come on he almost die by morggot also he does too much jump attack
Imagine crying about the way other people play games.
@@argie-443 who is crying
@@argie-443 i know the comment is old but he is right this guy laughs at morgott but nearly dies while being hard overleveld and played one of the strongest metas on release and played bad
@@Saber-7finally someone gets it. This comment section is so brain dead it hurts. People aren’t annoyed or making fun of him because he was too over levelled or played a op build or whatever. It’s the fact that he acted like he’s good and laughed like a weirdo after the fight. If he just said something like “oh I was definitely over levelled for that fight” no one would care
@@thehighground4920 true at least we get it
I think mottgot is easy based on the build e.g. my bloodhounds fang x mimic tear x bloodflame + flame grant me strength build (i call it my mirror build) ripped through him ez but i think hes actually really though on mages(this was and still is my first playthrough pls don'tjudge)
For those who is a melee and struggles I would recommend consider Storm blade ash of war
Idk if mimic tear counts as a way to legitimately win but i used it and i got it 3rd try
Just beat him at level 78 with a sacred warpick
Morgott only killed me on the first attempt and that was because he shanked my ass while I was summoning my Mimic Tear.
To be fair, I was coming at him with the Mimic, Melina, and a Bloodhound's Fang +10
How did you get a +10 bloodhounds fang? The most i have found while preparing for his fight was a +6. Where did you get the other stones?
I see people in his chat saying he is overleveled, and how it "takes away the fun." What fun is lost by overleveling? The fun of dying several times? lol
Took me 16 tries because my weapon was + 4 and i was level 56
Fighting this right now with a double katana dex blood loss build (pretty shite version) and best I've gotten was a bit over phase 2... After 70 or more tries
Now on i go to watch him fight death rite bird lol.
He had a broken build😔
He's running pure strength that Halberd is op af.
"broken build" you mean every proper build in this game
also he was pretty overleveled, I really wish this boss had like 2x the health he has.
@@bliss6417 a normal "proper build" doesn't deal 1661 damage to Morgott with each attack, and btw morgott has an actually big af healthbar but half of the community is already at lvl 100 when they fight him while they should be 80-85 lol
@@tuzio253 No, 1.6k dmg is literally nothing for some builds even on NG. By proper build I mean the ones that are just hella optimized for dmg
I was doing like 2k ~ 3k dmg to morgott with my dragon playthrough with dragonmaw, and more than that with star's ruins with my mage playthrough.
Ofc on my first blind playthrough I was less optimized but i still ditched out hella dmg with my full str build ruins greeatsword.
And I agree that the boss has enough hp but I still think he feels much weaker than when you face margit so I was pretty disappointed.
@@A99-b6h Wdym "you're not meant to" its personal preferance whether or not they want to go blind or look shit up on internet and make a build, pretty sure most of us looked up on wiki at some point.
I'm annoyed that Godfrey took me 2+ hours, and then I beat Margott my first try with dual Katanas 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🙌
Guys Morgott is easy, I was level 72 when I fought him and it took me 5 tries, he doesn't have that much health and his moveset is really similar to the Margit, witch you should be familiar if you didn't skip Stormveil.
Yeah people acting like asmon is so overleveled and that's why he's winning but morgott has so little health. Granted 1900 is high for this stage I feel but not that much
Easy for you to say. This bastard killed me more than malenia! Screw his 360 hammer slam he does.
Remember that difficulty depends on the person. ( also build). Usually person
@@0LyricsMusic yeah, and also luck is a big factor, I started ds3 after I finished elden and I almost got abyss watchers on my first try ( one hit away from killing it in p2) then followed by 3 hours of continuous death. Sometime the boss just doesn’t fit to your play style or it’s so easy it’s laughable.
Stayed out of range for most of the fight then traded 5 hits. To be fair its not hard to be this high leveled at this point in the game. I don't think this fight was supposed to be challenging.
It's easy havinf +99 on your weapons and beaing overleveld as fuck
i was fighting this guy at lvl 49 and he was hella hard took me over 3 hours to kill him
Yeah me too both margit and morgott I am surprised how easy it was
guys of course he's over level af but it's how the game works sadly. There is just no way to know which boss to enter and when, when it's an open world game. There is no proper path to follow, me personally i struggled a lot on him, i was doing no damaga meanwhile one of his hits did 80% of my hp.
Yet i beat Malenia in 10 seconds.
I was over level af.
It sucks how the game works in terms of bosses tbh
Rykard was definitely the most fun boss battle for me just because I wasn't under leveled or over leveled and it was just so fun learning his pattern but now I just feel like I'm too high level for these bosses ☹️
Edit: Recently fought this skeleton bird thing and his moveset was crazy and it was actually surprisingly hard even with my mimic it took me like 6 trys because of his black aoe flame attack but Rykard boss battle still better
This boss was located at the mountain of walking giants I think is the name in the snowy area
Fuck the deathbirds, they're so bullshit
i cheesed rykard
which weapons was asmongold using?
Golden halberd and Gargoyles halberd
What level is this guy?
My main gripe was that there are so few times you can deal damage without taking any. Though maybe if I got gud, I could find more chances.
Out of curiosity, what’s your build? I’ve been running essentially a glass cannon build, with most main bosses being beaten by great sword and (almost) no armor so I can keep my light load and maneuver better.
@@jeffreyrook8073 I killed Morgott with a double-blade and i am currently a dex-int build (even though i haven't use magic in the battle). However i haven't killed Rykard yet, i'd like to fight him without messing up Volcano Mansion's quests. With Morgott, it was a dance. I didn't have so much life, so i needed to learn everything about him and now i just want to fight him again :(
I killed Morgott with a +8 godskin peeler using just r1 and doing perfect dodges most (and no panic dodges, i rather let myself die than doing panic dodges) and the fight looked and felt so damn epic. I copied my save file just to fight him again thats how cool that was
@@jeffreyrook8073 honestly once you hit 40 vigor this game goes easy mode. I just rushed vigor and did a strength build and the leniency you get in combat is insane. Consider putting more in vigor since theres soft caps for damage stats anyway
Definitely easy when the player is extremely overleveled
Leyndell is a level 120 late game area. Why tf did fromsoft put a level 80 boss to a level 120 area? That is their fault.
yea if you not level 150 by him you didnt played him right and if it still was hard you just go to mogwyhn place and farm 10 mill souls in 1h and its over this game is just not souls like i think
They should definetly add a level scaling for morgott
People didn't Lie when they said asmon is farming off screen lol
Im lv50 and struggle what level is he ?
He is def highet than 120 thats why the boss was so easy i defeated him at level 70 and my dmg was good but my hp was bad he was able to two hit me with everd attack
I killed him three times quicker but then again wasn’t taunting him 😅
Also first try 😂
I don't know if I got lucky or what but I got him first try at level 64
nice
overleveled af

Why is her proud?
Anyone would with streangth powerstance jump R2 spam
Honestly he was overleveled
Bro is playing on easy mode
Copium
I was lvl60 when i beat him...
What this whining about being overleveled. The whole point of this game is you can go explore to make the bosses easy. Why do people care if he wants to play like this?
He shouldn’t complain about certain bosses being too easy if he takes off half the hp from each hit
"The whole point of this game is you can go explore to make the bosses easy" I'm not gatekeeping or anything but please shut up about the point of the game if you're too impatient to just learn the fucking boss.
I feel like Fromsoftware shoulda added a note at entry gate prior to meeting the boss which states the level required or at least suggested in order to face him. This would've really helped me especially in the early game
Doesent count he is over levelled
Womp womp
I beat him first try to
Bruh, I got 13 hours in this game, even I know you are OP there😂
By this point I had done everything else but the underground areas and was looking forward to struggling with this guy for at least an hour like I did with Margit but then I beat him first try. So sad that he became so disappointingly easy
They became easy because you overleveled yourself by doing everything else lmao idiot
ngl morgott is the easiest main boss in my opinion
Godfrey and this boss were both too easy imo , i just just finished them and honestly was shocked how easy it is . Dont get me wrong its a hard boss - First Marg is WAY harder esp as a opening boss
I had so much difficulty with being a prisoner.. Drove me mad how hard it was until I learned the boss/returned with a few new items. But even with that, Remember -
First time is harder with the small space / debree as where here theres so much more space here in this arena. Add knowledge of the game/loot to grab by this time again . . . + know the boss... = easy imo. OFC gonna be hard if ur level 50 and using an estoc+10 or something stupid. But essentially its easy -.-
Elden only complaint is the content around here is all copy+pasta pretty much, and the ending area could be visually more appealing and have new creatures ...
Sorry for the TLDR; just I literally beat this boss and felt the same as what asmon says "feels like a joke" and it is. But still obviously a great game and so much fun. Just cant see myself playing 3-4 times since it takes like 100h to finish the game where as souls games takes a fraction of this time. Still 10/10 game of the year IMO!
Wooooow
Yeah, I first tried him twice, with both my characters. Why does he do so little damage? It makes me cry because he's top 3 best bosses for me (for story and characterization)
he freaking 2 shotted me in my playthrough
I killed him on first try too he is easy because you already know some of his attacks so he wasent that hard tho lol
Beating the easiest main boss first try ain’t that impressive… I love Asmon tho!
He also does 1800 damage dude is ass
Renala definitely takes the title of easiest main boss imo
@@apcake6812 true, morgot is pretty easy tho
@@Phoenixfrogg Morgott is actually a very hard boss by design, the one thing that makes him easy is the fact that you can overlevel him too easily.
@@botondkunos1774 Well said.
Morgott needs like 50% more health and deal 25% more damage
25% more damage seems like overkill. As is, one combo almost killed him, and he was over leveled. Morgott's damage output is fine, he just needs his health to scale to the player's level and he's gonna do fine.
I've watched a lot of this dudes elden ring videos and he is very good with that halberd. I've tried his same set up and I do nothing like him. He's the man!
The halberd was also broken at release tbf. Not saying it was the strongest thing out there, but it literally scaled off every stat.
So you’ll never do as much dmg as him now with the same set up.
i did aswell
Bro thinks he’s good because he explored for 30 hours before advancing the story 💀
Way overlevles it’s pathetic
This dude got hit with every single attack lol… my playthrough was way harder because I could only get hit twice before getting killed
From soft should deffinitely buff this boss, he´s so easy to beat on a first attempt. I´ve died more with those "lion knights" or whatever their names are xd.
why the fuck cant elden ring fanboys get over the fact that he is playing the way he wants to play + he did it faster than all of them + he just has his opinion💀
