Yes, you are correct, EDD. If nobody goes out and buys the shoes on StockX, eventually the sellers will have no choice but to drop those ridiculous prices for a pair of Streakfly's.
I love the ASICS. I used the Meta Sky for a half this year and ran a PR 1:28 without even burning out the legs. Compared to the tried and true vapor fly they don’t require as much effort and I feel they are more stable underfoot.
One of my all time favourite football chants involves Poundbury. At Dorchester Town FC matches chants have been aimed at them 'You're just a small town next to Poundbury' Brilliant!
Sure I wrote a comment but can't see it so another go. Good parkrun and good to see that course - keen to try some of the Dorset/Wilts ones I haven't yet done when we are next at Sue's folks in Shaftesbury/Mere and will certainly try and link up. I managed to bag a pair of Streakfly but a lot of refreshing the day before and from 0730 thinking it was likely to be sometime around then. The UK 13 (my size) were one of last to go - 0817. Only need one pair of a white shoe in winter and "not cricket" to me to buy a running shoe for resale.
Hi Edd, finally made the pilgrimage to Bushy parkrun today. My birthday in April and hoping that the Streakfly is back in stock in more colourways by then. Also hoping my wife doesn't ask why I want/need another pair of running shoes. Always good to see the Beast 🐈
The bonus footage at the end was a nice little Marvel Films style experience! Well done on the Parkrun and look forward to your videos on the new Streakfly.
Did my usual Bromley park run today at Norman Park. Quite windy too. Good fun all round. I’ll be waiting on the Streakfly. Not a chance on earth I’m paying over retail for them.
I started out with a parkrun in my new Nike Invincible Run and then continued on a long run after the parkrun. A total of 26 km run in windy conditions. The Nike Invincible's were very soft. Perhaps not the best shoe for a parkrun but I still got a good time. parkrun is not a race, so it's OK not to go with super fast shoes :-)
Hi edd,did the sale water parkrun part tarmac and trail.lovely route along the river and around the lake but a bit muddy and rocky in parts,my razor ecxess are now a different colour (baby wipes at the ready!)great video as usual!👍
I had a 5 Mile race this morning. Got first in my age group with 33:42. I used my Alphafly's on a straight out and back along the river. Well below freezing with a wind. Good job on your race. I saw it on strava.
Really enjoy your videos ed, and i also seem to like buying trainers abit to much at the moment. I did shrewsbury park run today, my pb is 18.35!! I have found something to massively improve my time that is not trainers, an 8moth old Labrador dragging me around in 16.43 today, in nike next%tempos which i like because they are quick and don’t feel too guilty using them for park run because they should last well
I used the Metaspeed Sky to test over some slower miles today. 7.3 miles @ avg pace of 7:40 including a very comfortable parkrun of 22:06 Legs been feeling beaten up this week after increasing mileage again quite significantly over the last 2 or 3 weeks (inc some testing interval sessions and a 1:31 training run Half in my 2nd run in the Metaspeed Sky). Loving this shoe and wondering whether it should replace the NB RC Elite v2 as my Spring Marathon shoe. Will definitely be wearing the Metaspeed Sky for my shot at a first Sub 90 Half on March 20th.
Just had bid accepted the other day on a pair of next%2 in a raptors colour way on StockX, pretty awesome colour way that I haven’t seen anywhere else yet? looking forward to running in them this year!
I managed to secure a streakfly in my size🤯 It showed Nike was out of stock 10 minutes after going live but I kept refreshing every couple seconds for the next 30 minutes and it popped back up luckily in the size I wear :)
You might be able to get into Bath half its now 29th may ,people got til 4th feb to decide what to do. I am at a concert at wembley the night before so have cancelled,3 others i was going with also can't make new date so if we are typical there will be a chance to get an entry!
I think I will pass on the Streak Fly for now. I have the Puma Liberate Nitro, the Adidas Takumi Sen 8 and the New Balance FuelCell Rebel V2. All three of those kinda fall in the same bracket as the Streakfly. Therefore I already have 3 great options for 5k or 10k races, speedwork and tempo runs etc. Not sure if I really need a 4th pair in that category. I might get them sonewhere down the line, bit for now, it is a „Nay“ for me. 😉
The $130 dollars for this ZoomX Streakfly seems to have a great price. It might not be as fast as the Takumi Sen 8 but it is good enough that could also work as a daily trainer to replace the last two of the ultra heavy Pegasus...
Had been looking forward to the streakflys for literally years, as it seemed the closest thing to the streak or streak lt as they don't sell them anymore. But limited Nikes??? It beggars belief, it truly does. Fool me once shame on me, fool me on every single trainer release , then that money is going towards a pair of Asics Metaspeed Skys (coincidently) if they come out in a new colourway... what that money is actually going towards is car diesel, spicy sausage, some bananas, a laptop battery and maybe some Barrowland SPZLs/or t shirt with Orbital (the band written on it) but close enough. Hope you get them as interested to see some reviews.
Love ur videos Edd. One thing though. You keep saying your not a heel striker. Just a wee bit of friendly reality "you are a heel striker" and its ok :) Metaspeed sky. The mid foot sole is untouched. But the heel is wearing away quickly?? So logically can you tell me where you are landing? We all have our own running style n form. Embrace it :) keep up the work bud. Missed the drop on streaks 😪
@@EDDBUD They feel like an old school racing flat to put on. I can't believe how 32mm of stack height feels like a racing flat nowadays. Hope they run as good as they feel.
@@EDDBUD yes sir!! I’ll try. Looking forward to hearing the general feedback before then. Seen some pros using them for track workouts as an alternative to spikes to lessen impact. Can you remember how long it was until the other colours were released with the Next% 2?
I wanted to get the Streakfly but as usual they've been scooped up by dickheads who have no intention of wearing them, instead they just want to re-sell at some ridiculous prices! I have seen 2 pairs on Depop being sold for £300!!!!!! Absolute arseholes, ebay has them as well but typically not in my size so I'll just have to wait until Nike restock, hopefully they don't do what Puma did with their Nitro elite's and only make about 20 pairs 😂
I just feel like the whole process is amusing to be honest. I want to throw $160 usd at a company for a shoe and I literally have to scalp the internet to be able to spend my money, I wonder how much money these companies miss out on by not having stock readily available
Yes, you are correct, EDD. If nobody goes out and buys the shoes on StockX, eventually the sellers will have no choice but to drop those ridiculous prices for a pair of Streakfly's.
Spot on!
Love the parkrun volunteers always really friendly and go the extra mile for us runners.
Absolutly! Fantastic support from them at this Parkrun too! 👍🏼
Back once again, Ed’s the parkrun master!👌

Great shoe and for me as a thin stick man they are so light!

At least it’s a mesh. The next% 2 proto held up quite well. Let me know when your down in carrot cruncher land. 👊

It was surprisingly mild today. Vest weather in January!
Double congratulations for the park run and for getting the Streakfly! 💪
Thanks 😊

I think you misunderstood his intention. Beast was just getting ready to High Five🐾 you😉😁🤣
I would have been skewered by the claws!
Your taste in recovery shoes is impecable 👌🏿 And I can't wait until the streakflys release stateside.
Just the right timing Edd, i was about to sleep but here we are i guess!
Thanks for supporting the channel Kali!

Glad someone got it in the end 😂

Can’t be great for picking up a discounted pair from time to time.
I didn’t realize that you were a sneakerhead. Nice Fire Red 4’s!

I shall do a shoe to shoe battle with the streakfly and sen asap.
whenever you say ”back once again"I think your gunna blast out a chorus of Renegade master 🤣
When I was editing it I could hear it every time!
On my running play list that is a 90s classic

They will release more soon Michael. Dont worry, this was just a limited initial release. I bet there will stacks of them in no time.

Hey Peter. If this is the case explain ever single other shoe that seems completely untouched in the heel? Sad you missed out on the streaks!
I can picture Beast doing that thing some cats do when the tip of their tongue is visibly caught with their mouths closed
Yes exactly! All the time she has her tongue out being odd. :)
Hey Edd. Mine have just arrived. Thought I’d share that mine weigh 168grams in my Uk 8. Hope you got yours today

Why did you prefer the Metaspeed Sky instead of the Takumi Sen 8, as it was a 5K race?
Will test the sen out next time
I managed to grab a pair didn’t realise how lucky I was
You were blessed with the good luck, a lucky "streak" maybe?
I at the park today... on delicious firm crunchy snow... -26c with the wind chill... does it count as a park run? 😅
Oh my! It was vest weather here. 10c 🤣
@@EDDBUD congrats on the run!
Are you running the north Dorset village marathon?
Not sure on that one Jason. Will take a look 👍🏼
I warned you about Streakfly - no wonder you got spritely gusts

If you the the Eels you try listening to Real Estate cool band a couple of nice albums
Awesome thanks for the suggestion 👍🏼
Please show us your Jordan collection 🙏🙏🙏

No money to be made by Nike if they starve the market here. I am sure there will be more very soon. There always is.
@EDDBUD Yeah Nike aint daft mate 😂
Damn you cheekster777
Silver medal!
I hope that those StockX Streakflys will rot in their boxes :-)
It’s very possible. Or they may realise the error of their ways and wear them!
Can't stand lap races. Particularly long ones like marathons and ultras
Nike should limit the number that can be bought by one person. It’s a joke.
I agree with you on that.
I was the first like. Just bragging at this point
Authenticated!
I just feel like the whole process is amusing to be honest. I want to throw $160 usd at a company for a shoe and I literally have to scalp the internet to be able to spend my money, I wonder how much money these companies miss out on by not having stock readily available
