I remember buying this back in college at best buy for 19.99. I was just getting into the horror sequels for all of these franchises. Fast forward a few years and dudes want $100 for it. It’s fantastic, but worth that? Eh
You got that boxset for $20 bucks? Either you're pulling our legs 😄, or you got one hell of a sweet deal. I ain't mad you, Congratulations. I got the 10 disc set for either $35 or $40 dollars, I don't remember exactly. And I got lucky because they were basically sold out everywhere when I was on the hunt. I'm guessing my local Bestbuy had one left in stock. I just happened to come into the store when it was on the shelves and snatched it up lickity split.
@@coreyc5982 yea, i remember strolling in and they had a few. All the blu rays and dvds were on sale. I was in a state with no sales tax so it was 19.99 flat. This same best buy is where i bought H6 directors cut for 7.99. They had 3 blu ray bargain bins full of old movies, and a few of those were in there. I didnt even see them, my boy did
My most played disk in this set- Halloween lll. I also find myself watching the special features and listening to the commentary on this every year. That alone paid for the set.
That boxset was a good alternative to those who missed the opportunity to get the 15-disc boxset while it was still officially available and who didn’t want to go to after market sources to get the 15-disc boxset. I was one of those persons. I’ve heard that you can sometimes find the 15-disc version for a somewhat reasonable price, but that it’s usually a crazy amount of money.
They weren't joking when the called it a limited edition collector's boxset. The same thing they did with Night of the Living Dead 90, it was limited to something like 5000 copies and they kept it at 5000 copies
Imagine if Walmart started selling Shout factory horror Blu-ray on the regular. I think they would sell like hot cakes. Imagine the Friday the 13th box set at Walmart for a discount price. Think of the sales numbers shout factory would do.
They used to. Back in the early days of Shout, Walmart always had collector's editions of Halloween II, Halloween III, Day of the Dead and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head. Not sure why that changed.
Solid set! I missed out on the 15-disc box and just bought this from Best Buy and grabbed the 2-disc Halloween II and the Curse Producer's Cut releases at the same time to fill in some of the gaps.
I’ve made a habit of looking for Easter eggs or just cool stuff in the background of your videos. Nothing especially jumped out at me on this one, but I dig the New Beginning shirt you’re rocking.
Awesome video Planet CHH hope you're well my awesome friend . yeah this was the version of the Halloween box set I got . I missed out on the original box set . yeah I got that Lionsgate Producer's cut of Halloween the curse of Michael Myers .
Got mine when it was still newish for regular price at bestbuy. Even with the new 4ks it’s kind of a nice thing to have I’ll probably never get rid of it.
I just bought the 4ks and then replaced those discs in the cases of the 15 disc set broke and tossed the old blu-rays. But I don't sell things and can't stand having multiple versions of 1 movie. It drives me crazy that in 2024 we still have to have 4k movies that also come with the blu-ray
So, to answer your question, the 10-disc set was definitely also available at Best Buy (it hung out on the shelves until 2018 or 2019, since nobody wanted it. Secondly, that H6 Producer’s Cut blu-ray is rare as hell now. Walmart sold it for $10 at the time, but it now goes for exorbitant amounts of money online.
You can get the Producer's Cut of Halloween 6 on 4K but you have to buy it as part of the Scream Factory box set that includes H20 and Resurrection. A blu ray version is also included.
The funny thing about Shout buying stock for Rob Zombies Halloween is that the artwork is not the U.S. edition but the Australian edition. The Blu-ray even has a region B logo on it.
This is the version i used to see at Walmart all of the time and i always passed it up because it wasnt DVD and i hadn't made the jump to Blu-ray at the time. Now i kind of regret it but I'd have rather had the 15 disc set due to the lack of the television cut and producers cut of H6. That separate release for Halloween 6 is oop now. I only know because i bought it right when the price started to rise. Though Its probably cheap now because of the 4K's
I'm so mad at myself that I missed out on the 15 disc set and this one the 10 disc set is cheaper but still pricey if you want it maybe it will show up sometime in the store I will have to grab it the limited edition set is too expensive
Was you trying to see how many times you could say Television Cut? HAHAHAHAHAHA

I think I paid $40 at Walmart. It was worth that for me. Definitely not $100 though lol.

@@user-ve6dw2xx8n Agreed. 👍
Still have this set, but slowly picking up the 4ks.
I can see this set having a reason to exist but glad I got the 15 disc set!
I’ve had the 15 disc boxset since 2016, but this one always intrigued me with its cool cover.
This is the boxset i have now. I love it! 😂
My most played disk in this set- Halloween lll. I also find myself watching the special features and listening to the commentary on this every year. That alone paid for the set.
This was my first boutique release , it wasn't until 2 years after purchasing this that I discovered what scream factory is.
I had this then upgraded to the 15 disc a few weeks later
I had this for a decade before upgrading to the new 4Ks just recently. It definitely served its purpose well.

Culture Dog in the house!!
My wife was gonna get me the 15 disc set as a B Day Gift at launch but I told her just wait it will eventually come down in price. I was Rong

I'm so glad I bought this set back in the day. This collection goes for 500 bucks now on the Internet!

this is a cool set...wish F13th could've been like this also but maybe it was like you said here...thankful for the video man...
That part 5 shirt is dope.
I got this set summer of 2018
On another topics:
1. Please, do a video on the FvJ comics.
2. Do a video on the NES Nightmare and Friday games.
I dig this set-up. That table has seen some things, killer breakdown!
This is the Halloween 🎃 boxset I have & it’s a fantastic release. I don’t need the 15 disc set personally
I think I got this in 2017 so the 15 disc set would have been oop for a few years. I don’t think I even knew about the 15 disc set when I bought this.
Cool
The Halloween 🎃 blu-ray boxset looks great. 😀👍
I can live without the Rob Zombie disasters

Will a new boxset with the newer Halloween movies ever come out?
