Is it possible that a Buffalo Trace product is all hype, and no substance? Eek gads! Perish the thought!

Do a 100 proof blind like Coopers Craft JD Bonded and Knob Creek 9 Year. All are easily affordable and similar yet different.🥃

I actually have never seen it in the wild so haven't gotten to try it.

Fun way to cover a few different whiskeys at the same time! Fun as the viewer to know what you're drinking when you, as the drinker, don't. Even more fun as the viewer when you, as the drinker, are SO wrong. In this case you were on point! Stop being good at drinking whiskey, Bill.

I agree. Larceny is the most under-rated bourbon I think mainly because of it's low price.

Really nice review, Bill! I love wheated bourbons and really enjoyed this one. You really can't go wrong with any of these.
I do truly love Weller Antique 107 and think it's the best overall of the Weller lineup.

Not sure if I've tried them all, I think I have but regardless, I'd also bet on the 107

Love the rotating table. I cannot hear the motion noise. I appreciate Black glasses, but if the whisky is natural colour, I would like to consider that. Guessing right is actually very low priority for me. I would rather talk what is good/bad, rather then identify. As soon as we can identify it creates the chance that we are once again picking our "choices". Thanks, Cheers!

I love Makers Mark 46 it's in my top 3 bourbons great fall and winter bourbon. 46 Cask Strength is good too. I like Larceny too never had Special Reserve but had Antique 107 which is amazing 🥃

Your experience with the WSR is the same experience I"ve had with it - not awesome & spiky ethanol (not rounded)

6:48 I always heard that allowing a few minutes for your whiskey to rest makes a subtle difference (for the best) but I've never tried myself. Another explanation might just your taste being affected by the alcohol: the first sip was, like you said, the first sip of the day and tasted a bit harser... but as you progressed with your experiemnt you also got used and when you revisited that whisky again you catched notes you might have missed during the first taste. I was anyway a very interesting observation of you! Nice video.

My rankings on this flight would be exactly like yours. Larceny is one of the best

Really like this! Great way to build strengths in tastes/flavors. I gotta get some of those black glencarians.

Very cool idea Bill! I could definitely benefit from a challenge like this to better align my nosing and tasting.

I'm partly colour-blind, so your labels were no help to me at all... I do like the format apart from that, though - could you number them (or mark with letters/initials) instead for future trials?

Absolutely. I actually have a history in developing accessible software so this occurred to me... of course, only AFTER I had edited. I have a better idea to make it easier in the future. Thanks for calling me out on it though. I should do better 😀

This is a fun concept! I'd like you to next try 3 Scotches from the same region, say, Highland, Lowland, or Speyside.

Love this idea. Recommend having at least 1 allocated out of the bunch to compare against easy to find bottles
