    Just gotta say... You are my HERO. I've had my 2008 Aero 2.8L for 2 years and you have walked me through EVERY repair and every issue I have come across. Couldn't have done it without you!

    Hello Gary when I first seen the picture for the video I thought you got in an accident. Anyway I would have ended up glueing it as well to bad they don't sell snaps that would fit over the clips that would lock them in place. Lately I've replaced my wife's battery in her car and had my tee connector break on my upper radiator hose along with my power steering hose leaking fluid. The power steering hose clamp wasn't clamping well enough so I replaced with a screw type (it's not leaking anymore) hose seem fine. Anyway its up and running again and thank you for posting a new video and I told my wife it could have been worse by doing it in the middle of winter instead of now. Have a good day

      Hi Phillip. That T is a common failure point on the 2.0 but fortunately like you said you fixed it before winter! It's a good thing you're willing to work on it bc who knows how much a shop would have charged you to fix that T and your power steering line.

    Hey Gary, you most likely know about this, however, if not check out a VERY cool unit for Saab 9-3's.
    It is an e sid 3! I have a 2008 9-3 convertible. I bought mine from Maptun.
    There are also, videos on youtube about this.

      Ah yes the eSID! I've heard some cool things about them and have always wanted one. I just need to pull the trigger and buy it

    When I put mine on we used a ton of rivets and double sided tape to avoid that. It was terrible to put on because there’s no flexibility and you have to basically confirm the bumper to it

      Exactly! I didn't know what I was in for when I purchased the diffuser. Definitely a lot more work than it should be.

      Thanks! Not a bad idea and it would be easily removable.

    Hey gary, love the vids! do you know if your diffuser would fit on a 06 9-3 aero?

    • @WeakestofWeeks
      @WeakestofWeeks  Рік тому

      No the pre-facelifted models (2003-2007 9-3's) have a little different style of rear bumper so this diffuser wouldn't work without major modifications

    Would have simple fix it drill holes on the tabs and use zip ties

    hey Gary, do you have any tips for finding a replacement front subframe for my 2010 9-3 (and maybe instructions somewhere)? Mine is rusting out badly (last two oil changes I've had the technician told me it's bad enough to start being worried about...holes developing and whatnot) and I've also started getting clunks over bumps and when turning. I've called two shops but they haven't returned my calls

      If you're in the US the best bet would be to find a used subframe somewhere down south and have it shipped to you. Or, find someone parting out a 9-3 near you if possible and go and inspect it before purchasing. Install isn't overly difficult, but it'd go a lot smoother with a lift. Otherwise, you have to jack the front pretty high, get an engine support bar and remove the lower control arms, engine mounts, cradle mounts, etc. to make the swap. Another thing to consider is the XWD subframes are different than FWD subframes.
