I grew up in a black neighborhood and went to a black high school, like I was the ONLY white kid in my high school. I took an ass whooping twice a day, every day. I hated my childhood because I saw nothing but racism. I told myself everyday that I would never make someone feel the way I did. I have been approached by a few of my bullies, as adults, and had tearful conversations that included apologies and explanations. I forgave them and released them of the burden they carried all those years. 2 of my closest friends are black and I love them with all my heart. I refuse to have enemies because of their color. My moto is, "I love everyone and you're next." You can't end hatred with hatred.

@Harrison Drews No. A bullet just perpetuates the hate.

Thank you for making this reaction. I am white and back in 1991 I started high-school graduation in 1994, I had several African American friends and when the Rodney King riots happened my friends stopped talking to me and started calling me cracker and dumb ass white boy. It hurt really bad because I was still their friend, but that happened and Malcom X came out and now it seemed it was black against white and white against black. Brother against brother. The government wants us to be divided and hate each other because if we were still united as brothers and sisters in Christ we could stand strong and tell the controlling government to kiss our asses. I was relentlessly being followed home from school by gang bangers and have been shot at by them in the early and mid 90s growing up in Antioch California. I was very angry and had hatred in me after those things happened but I had to remind myself that just because one or two groups of a people act bad doesn't mean all are bad. I now have great friends of all races and I feel so good to have that brotherhood in Christ and to just talk to each other as friends and brothers and Americans.

I grew up in Texas and never experienced racism until I moved to California for college. Only because I'm white but apparently it's not racism against me because I'm white. In the military we were a family and skin color, religion or lineage didn't matter. The most horrible open display of racism I've ever seen was the three years I lived in Atlanta. It was from all sides and it was blatant. I got my family the hell out of there and back to Texas.

Being a black woman in texas, I can assure you that on every corner there is racism. Maybe you didn't experience it because the majority of it that happens here happens to blacks? I lived in Atlanta and Memphis and never experienced racism. However the majority in Atlanta are black. So I can definitely relate.

His whole purpose for this song was to show everybody that just because we look different, we all struggle. The struggle just looks different from the outside. I'm a whiteboy who grew up in the "ghetto", the "hood", whatever you wanna call it. I've been called all kinds of things but I realized at a young age because of the family I have. That you are no different than I am, ones not better than the other. We're all just Americans trying to make the best of what we are blessed to have.

At 68 I could care less unless you go after someone who needs lifting up not tearing down. It was a long journey from a child’s hurt to today. I stood my ground and gained respect and love from most of the people on my bus. I judge people by character..not skin color.. even tho a good bit of my childhood I was racially profiled.

@dawn waites I am also in/from upstate South Carolina. I'm a country girl through and through! Grew up dirt poor, down a long dirt road, taught respect, manners, pride, and the value of family!!! And I thank God everyday for that struggle!
We hunted and fished to fill our freezers so we would have enough just to eat. Mom, Grammy, Aunt made our clothes! Sewn with Love! Not a designer tag or label.
I was called, "Cracker" 'Hillbilly' "Redneck" "Trailer Trash" ( didn't live in a trailer ever)
'White Trash" "Inbred" "Bumpkin" "Grey Bitch" (super derogatory slang for a white female that dates ANYONE outside her race).
I was mocked, constantly fighting groups of females (they never squared up one on one, always a group).
Got my ass handed to me a lot. Doesn't matter how well you can defend yourself or fight... 2 or more, you not comin out on top! I grew up and other races made sure I felt out of place because I was poor and white. I wasn't good enough for anyone, and was told numerous times to "Take my white ass back to the sticks where I belong"
No one ever thinks that a Caucasian person could possibly know what true STRUGGLE is. No one thinks a white person could constantly be bullied, and hated on, and spit on. Automatically think because I'm Caucasian, I had it easy, white privilege. WHERE TF DO I SIGN UP FOR THAT?
I have missed out on that perk.
IM LIVING PROOF THAT RACISM AGAINST WHITES BEEN HAPPENING FOR YEARS! I'm 46 years old. I love everyone and can vibe with anybody. And was taught, were all equal under God, made in His image. And baby, God don't make mistakes!!
THANK YOU TO THOSE THAT UNDERSTAND.
Thank you Greg for your open mind, and I love your reactions. You've opened my eyes to other things as well!

I'm white from Chicago. Also grew up with no money. Worked in the worst neighborhoods and lived in them at times. I have never been afraid to walk down any street, talk to any person and I'm not going to start. When I was 18 I shaved my head too because my whole family goes bald, surprisingly I got fucked with less but I'm a big guy. My best friend is black. I have dated black women, Asian women, and Latinos and they are all bueatiful in there own way(and crazy but different story). We are all human. There is only 1 race and honestly in the 90's I would say racism was the quietest it has been in my life, then they started all over again.

It's always striking to me when there is little to zero emotional reaction to the racist/white stereotypes at the beginning of this song. Lots of nodding and "oh yeah. I've seen that"....and then a racist/black stereotype comes in and all the butthurt happens. Shouldn't that cause you pause and inspire a bit of self-reflection?

Honestly, Adam spoke facts in this video and touched on stereotypes below the poverty line and the fact that privilege is more a monetary gap than a racial gap. If your poor and black, you're viewed in one of the two stereotypes and visa versa with the poor and white. Above the poverty line is a different story, but both sides rarely see such a rise without determination, guts, and a little luck. That's where the racial gap in privilege truly comes into play. And I think he wanted to show the world this truth with this video. Side note, the white guy rolling the blunt is Rapper EBE Bandz aka Billy Da Kid from Chicago, who was killed back in 2019.

I loved the way ACal talked about the stereotypes while acknowledging the good of people in both races. I also appreciate the last part of this song where he points out how we are being pitted against each other and as long as so many continue to fall for that propaganda they show on media every day instead of us standing together as the human race, then those "elites" continue to win because if we're fighting each other then we're not paying attention to what they're doing to all of us. Another wonderful reaction Greg! Much love to you and the family as always! 🙏🇺🇲❤️

The best part of this video was when you said you don’t speak that way because you don’t want your kids to hear you and then they will say the same things. Listen, I am a white male that raised my children to never judge anyone by the color of their skin you only judge them by their character. As long as we teach our children to be kind to people maybe all this ugliness will eventually go away. Life is to short to spend it hating people that you don’t even know.

My kids, my grands and I have experienced so much blatant bigotry more than any full-blooded color because some folks can't stand the thought of the so-called "races" mixing it up and actually loving each other. I don't call it racism because it's downright hatred/bigotry for no damned reason other than to try and tell us who to care for, who's of value when there are NO RACES! There's only ONE and it's the HUMAN RACE y'all! We're all family, like it or not! I pity the ones who don't see their own bigotry ( regardless of their color) because they go to church and claim they follow Jesus Christ as their Master yet sow hatred/bigotry elsewhere so who is their real master?

My mama was a girl when Martin Luther King Jr. was murdered, and she took his dream to heart. My siblings, and I grew up being told on a daily basis that our life was worth no more, or less than anyone else's. We were also told on a daily basis that if mama ever found out we were treating ANYONE like we were better than they were SHE would be the one picking the switch to use on our backsides. Those southern mamas ain't messing around when they talking about punishment either.
Now, my philosophy is: God made us all look different to test us, and make sure we were seeking HIM first in all things, even in the face of a stranger. I sure don't want to find myself standing in front of my maker trying to justify hatred toward any of HIS children after HE told me to love them as myself.

Stevie Knight was taken back by Adam's use of the N word in this as well. He wanted to understand more so he reached out to Adam. That turned into a stream with Adam and Stevie having a very good back and forth conversation that you should certainly listen to. Not really something you would probably want to react to but it's certainly a very productive conversation between two grown men who are honestly trying to understand and find common ground. Excellent example of how these conversation don't need to be aggressive. As always though, very good reaction and solid points of view.

This is a song I can definitely relate to. As a young white girl I grew up in a trailer park that looked just like this one positioned near the projects. I went to a school that was majority Black, Hispanic, and Asian with a few white kids sprinkled in. While my mom was at work I would walk to a friend's house down roads that are considered some of the most dangerous in Houston. I didn't know any better - this was my home. When I was 14 my mom moved us out in the middle of nowhere. Suddenly I found myself in a culture shock moving from the hood to the woods. This is a time (2002) where I seen true racism for the first time. The kids at school segregated themselves like it was something natural. I was very verbal about how I felt about what I saw, and got into a couple fights with the other white kids until they learned to sit tf down and stop saying dumb shit. Looking back now I feel that what I experienced was a privilege, because it allowed me to see things from a better perspective. It's possible to move our society forward, but everyone's gotta make an effort to sit down and talk.

I’m 50 and white, with other races. I also have seen things that weren’t right in my life. But in order to being an Army Brat, my dad was doing the same as the black fam across the street. Us kids lived for balling everyday! And we all were friends! Period!!
You see back then in FT.Bragg NC, we respected each other because our Mom or
Dad was serving our country protecting us from foreign or domestic! We were taught this as children! As Martin Luther King Jr. said “we are judged by our character, not by the color of our skin.” Those were words that were taught in my family and other Army kids as well. It start in the home! Just wish it would be out in the cities and communities striving and struggling to make it without a father present. Thank you for the video. I also have had four children who were taught the same,in their up-bringing. May God bless America 🇺🇸 and our citizens as well! If we see such racist people around, ignore it or speak up!
