I was in NY for the holidays with my (now-ex) girlfriend like 5 years back and ran into Kyle. I didn’t want to bother him, but he saw us looking at him while shivering with our Starbucks coffees. He approached and saw that we were cold (we’re Floridians lol). Without even asking, he took off his skin in a slow, methodical fashion and presented it to my girlfriend as though a knight giving his cape. He then winked and walked away as only bones and muscle. Really nice guy honestly.

Me too. Being young in 99 was amazing. People are so uptight now and the world is not what it was. My heart goes out to young people nowadays. When I was 20 in 99 there were uni grants in my country, no tuition fees. Jobs that weren’t as automated so more opportunity at the time. There wasn’t a global recession. People could afford gas and groceries. We would work all day and club all night. Driving to the coast every weekend because it was cheap to run a car. I miss 99. If I was young in 2024, No way would it be the same.

malls are still popular in canada. its actually insane how crowded they are, i didnt remember malls being so packed when i was younger. Yorkdale, Eaton Center, Sherway, Square One, just riddled with people. i dont get why malls are dead in america tho?
Malls were largely places for kids/teens in the 90's, but now everything in them is too expensive for teens (they only go there to hang out, which usually means they get chased away eventually) and instead the malls now only cater to adults, who don't have the time or interest to go. Edit: Also many are only accessible via car and that means only 16 year olds and up can get themselves there (as you would to see your friends in high school)
People are lazy here and shop online mostly. Not sure what the young kids have filled their "mall void" with though. Maybe just sitting around texting 😂🤷♂️
